I think had def experts not been so bad and Mutt and Jeff dragged it out for their pot of gold, the prosecution expert wouldn't have looked as good as she did. She had her catch phrases and played vocab games (kind of reminded me of JA, it was great on a professional level to play it against JW). But do to the failed plan executed so badly by the def, this expert looked better than she actually might have. Even with Juan's constant prodding, JD still couldn't catch on he wanted her to explain in more detail, and even when he asked for more, she would stumble. I am guessing after all is said and done, she might ask for feed back from JM. If she is the type that is willing to look at herself, she could learn and one day make a better expert.

I don't think Dr D's testimony had much to do with premeditation. I think her main purpose was to offer a viewpoint about Jodi that was more realistic and honest than what was offered by the defense "experts".
Jodi did fear abandonment, and she did everything she could to keep him, over a very extended period after their "official" gf/bf relationship ended. She moved to be closer to him after the romantic relationship had ended. She was willing to be reduced to a mere booty call. She was willing to be his maid to be near him. She was willing to "counsel" him about his new girlfriends to stay close to him.
However, I think that in May of 2008, Travis had finally made clear that their relationship was really and truly over. I think Jodi played her last card in late May (probably to try and blackmail him in some way), and we have seen Travis' reaction to it. He was not going to play ball. It was over. Then Jodi flipped a switch from "I can't live without him" to "I'm going to eliminate him".
She just might.
I found the camera question even more troubling. Whoever asked it seemed to have doubts about premeditation.
I agree on both counts. I think Jodi thought she had destroyed the camera evidence. I bet she kicks herself every day for not just taking the damn camera when she left. If she had, I think there is a decent chance she could have lied her way straight into manslaughter or possibly even an acquittal.
I hope they don't make the cut. But if they do, I think they will find that trying to withstand the strong views of 11 other jurors who just spent months participating will be quite difficult. Not impossible, but very difficult.
It does not negate any of those things relating to premed. I believe the entire purpose of the PTSD is to give Jodi an excuse for not remembering the killing. With the hope that if she can't remember, the jury will see her as less responsible, or at least not totally malicious.
I agree with this summary.

Nobody believes a word out of your mouth. Why do you keep talking? -- ABC Interviewer to JA
She has some skill! She takes passable portraits, and certainly some nice shots of TA which are used by his support sites, a lot! But the problem for an 'artist' (again, loose term) like Jodi, is that when you discover editing suites for digital photography, you care a lot less about skill, because there's so much less you have to achieve with the original image!
This^, IMO, was also, a HUGE MISS for the defense! They could have played heavily on the fact that Jodi was a 'photographer', by highlighting that her knowledge would negate her actions (i.e. fog), in putting the camera in the wash! Also, they could have argued, that most of the photo's of Travis in the shower were not flash-lit, and not good, because you have that luxury as a DSLR photographer. It doesn't waste film to take bad shots! It doesn't waste anything! You just DELETE them, and start over!
By comprehending the testimony. Flipped to despised which included built up anger, blaming someone else for her sorry ass loser life. She had been sleeping on floors! The resentment is seen in her journal about it.
You have a loser told go away from my nice house you dreamed would one day be yours.
Driving away crying, her dream crushed and "it's not fair"
So called friends saying, hey, give me my futon back before you leave.
She's forced back to a juvenile bed in a place she's ashamed of that will never reflect her desires for pretense of successful life.
She'd make him pay! Why should he have anything if he won't share it all with her, 'it's not fair!"

I have to agree with coconut on this point. However, I believe it was much easier for the Prosecution to find an expert that agreed with their point of view as opposed to the Defense Team. I think it took much effort by the DT to research potential "experts" for bias favorable to their position before even having them evaluate the defendant.
My avatar? My daughter drew a picture of me.
I agree! She is young! (not just in years) And how you describe it here, is just how I was imaging her in the future. As someone who fine hones those aspects that are full of common sense IMO, but can only be achieved by experience (and living)! Isn't it a bummer that most of us have to age to be our most skilled! I think she did well to keep her cool with Willmutt though! I know I couldn't have done that without a comeback or two, and as she seemed to perceive, "the more I keep my cool, the worse she looks".
I agree. I know I will probably get slammed but I really did not think she was so great. If I was on the jury I would not have been impressed. To me, she came off badly and really not experienced. She is very book smart. She will get the life experience down the line. Just my opinion. She got a great case to learn from. JA is one for the books.
The tiger (killing of travis) and the bear (stranger abuse) to me indicate that someone on the jury believes she has ptsd and does not remember what happened.

JA mouths "whatever" to JD's explanation of her demonstrating feelings of abandonment by latching onto her boyfriends.
Not the first time ive read her lips when she says "whatever" in response to someone on the stand.
Yes, she won the book smart vocab game. I will give JW 1 pt for being coached on the lingo for the tests Mr Smarty was lost on.
She started out confident and that turned into an air of superiority that wasn't fun to watch. Frankly, I was growing tired of her. She didn't come near as sickening as Dick and Jane but JM gets my credit for that, he is heads above the def teams skills and knew it was time to get it off the stand esepcially when she was unable to give him what he wanted too.
AMEN! Some people never acquire common sense! It would be interesting to see her in a few yrs and be able to determine if it is youth, or a character trait w her. It's all good in the long run, she's got one more notch under her belt. Didn't like the way she answered some of the jury questions, and one she skirted around and JM had to go back and clean it up. Apparently it's difficult for her to face the simple question, how many times have you testified in a forensic case.

Stranger abuse was the supposed trigger of the ptsd
I really hope in closing Juan hammers home the fact that these two exchanged 82,000 emails and there were probably less than 10 where Travis called her names or "assassinated her character" and 10 is being generous. I mean we heard about a couple and I think that is all. Out of 82,000 fucking emails. That is not a pattern of being verbally abusive.
