IMO the DT are missing an opportunity here with Dr D's diagnosis of BPD. I'm not sure how this would work legally (it might be a mitigation thing), but if their aim was to save Hodi's life, there is a wealth of sympathy they could have communicated to the Jury from Dr D's knowledge of BPD. Not culpability, but along the lines of 'what it is like for someone who is borderline, and doesn't know it'! I guess it would negate the self defense, so they probably can't go there.

I am fully aware of what Jodi has done AND she is a very damaged and broken individual. I really wish she had had better "experts" on her side.

It just means that she is not an expert on those areas because she:

1. does not have a practice specifically devoted to them
2. has not published anything (papers, books) on those areas
3. did not write a dissertation in that area
4. does not research those areas

She's just a general psychologist who got her license about a year before she worked with Jodi.

Some folks refer to BPD people as "emotional vampires"...not a clinical term of course. But that they drain all happiness from one's life with all their selfish problems and are exhausting.

True! If she was simply a sociopath/psychopath or narcissist, this would equal her actions. But, as you will know, having BPD doesn't define a person's core values. I know lot's of folks with BPD who have integrity, compassion and awareness, and a truly fucking hard time living, and relating with their emotions and behavior! These are not trait's that JA displays in any way, shape or form, and although being BPD can cause huge problems in life, it doesn't make you a murderer!

She brought up that Stabby told a Dr. Carp about many more instances of DV than she told her (and ALV, Dr. Dicky). I wonder when she spoke to Dr. Carp and why she scaled back the number of DV incidents.

I think she kind of has to go there to try and justify her witnesses behaviors towards JA. She is failing miserably, but I do believe it is an avenue she has to try for.
