I remember that. I had seen DeMarte's webpage by then and knew what Nurmi was up to. So far it seems like the only thing they can call her out on. She is coming across as unbiased and knowledgeable. She hasn't stuttered or gotten defensive and I would bet she won't.

Janeen Demarte is called to the stand. She list her education. She has lots of it. She has a PhD. She is actually a doc.
The doc went to visit Jodi in jail. The doc knows Alyce. The Doc would have supervised Alyce. (the doctor answers her questions in a clear, short manner) The doc is basically explaining how Doc. Fog was wrong in his whole approach. The doc explains how you should never come in to a case with an opinion already.
EX 456- Jodi's diary about "Nothing noteworthy to report"
Lady doc says she only reads the diary as face value. Lady doc doesn't read more into what is said.
Law of Attraction-the lady doc has heard of it. LOA is not part of the degree (LOL) Lady doc think the secret caused problems with patients.
The lady doc was provided materials. Lady doc just picks out Jodi in the courtroom. Lady doc went to see Jodi. Lady doc considers 40 hours to be extreme. Lady doc has never heard of any doc talking to somebody for over 40 hours. Lady doc never apolized to Jodi. LD doesn't seem the need to apolize to someone when she has to speak to them. LD thinks it's odd. Lady doc thinks it would make your results biased. LD was with Jodi 12 hours-and the LD says that was a lot of hours. The testing was separate. (I really like this lady doc. She's simple and uses simple terms)

Lady doc saw no need to go back and speak to Jodi. They only reason she would have if she was unsure about her opinion or new data. Lady doc never provides gifts ever. LD was provided with Doc Fog's notes. (Palin yells out it wasn't a gift) LD has never provided anything to any patient. LD feels like a book make skew somebody's response to testing. LD also talked to Jodi about her sexual history.
Palin asks for an approach
Somebody named Sharol Carp. The report contained a test and reports on Jodi. Lady Doc read it. Ms. Carr said Jodi had PTSD b/c of abuse. Lady Doc compared Jodi's story and they were very different reports. Jodi reported more abuse with Carp. Jodi told LD there were 4. Jodi told Doc Fog 4. Carp told "numerious" reports that LD couldn't even count.
LD did testing on Jodi. Some matched Ms. Carp's test. This test showed that Jodi had trauma but the test doesn't tell what type of trauma. LD and Carp's were pretty close.
LD's test results are being marked. EX 620- test results. Jodi had depression. Not unusal since she was in jail. EX 620- TSI results-She was uneasy about her sexual behavior. Depression and nightmares.
( fighting over calling Dr. Sameuls Doctor) Dr. Fog's test provided LD a bubble sheet. LD says she doesn't fill out patients questionners. LD thought Jodi filled the bubble sheet out.
LD says that Jodi said a trigger of PTSD involved a stranger. (Lady doc is very good at explaining things) Lady Doc says b/c Jodi lied, it would void the whole test. PTSD is tied to a trauma.
Lady Doc just says this is just another example of Jodi lying. (BOOM...HAHAHAHAHAHA) (I hate to fan club somebody-but this witness is awesome IMO)

LD is aware that the story has changed. Is the PTSD valid? It is not valid
LD says Jodi answered a different answer on a question which is turn makes the whole test invalid.
EX 550- Dr. Fog's test EX 535- The symptons endorced.
In your pratice, once something is scored, is there a reason to go back and rescore? NO
Any reason why somebody would? If somebody was trying to change the data or rescored the test wrong.
MCMI by Dr Fog EX 541- Raw Data score sheet. Jodi's final score was 69. Next page is base rate scores. (Lady Doc is basically says Dr. Fog and Alyce were quacks.) (BTW, I haven't seen Jodi look at Lady Doc except one time when LD was picking Jodi out in the courtroom) Lady Doc doesn't see any need to ever rescore a test unless there is an error or somebody was lying.

EX 553- test results- Jodi's test was compared against people that had already had mental health issues. It would have been better to compare Jodi's test against the regular population.
LD says Alyce took a subjective approach to this case. There were no documents for LD to read. LD says there was no way to verfiy Alyce's report. Palin objects-Approach (HLN is talking about a sir-rebuttal-UGH)
LD was provided with notes and a interview. LD says there is big piece of missing data from Alyce-test. Alyce did no testing. LD knows there have been changing stories with Jodi and the events. It raises a red flag. EX 600- Regan and Travis IM message on May 19, 2008- extremely afraid of Jodi. LD would never "go behind" words.
LD says the text message was a written word. It's data. It changes the data. Makes people look at it different. Palin objects
Approach
LD gave test to Jodi. She gave several test to Jodi to make sure she could read. She gave Jodi a smart test. IQ- Jodi preformed well on her short term memory test. Her processing speed and IQ was high. EX 621-Jodi's IQ was 119. Verbal communication was scored as superior- the highest you can get.
MMPI test- it's a personality test that is used the most. (Palin asks for an approach) (LD I think is trying to say that Jodi was very manipulative)
LD gave Jodi the answer sheet and document for her to fill out. LD puts it in a computer system and she runs it twice.
LD did use the results of the test. "I cry all the time" shows depression in the scales/test. The 10 scales show 3 elevations. 7 of the scales were above 65 (threshold)
What does that mean to you? There was a lot of signs of mental issues. The top 3 scales show aggressiveness. They are hostile but the hide it well. They have violent outbrust. They like to blame.

The only thing that bothers me is the whole "I chose not to get licensed" until a year after graduation thing. Who does that and why would you? I sure as hell got mine as soon as I was out of school...had to get to work to pay off those student loans! Raises a little red flag for me, otherwise I think she seems very credible and IMPARTIAL. (I thought giving books to JA as both Dr. Dick and ALV did seemed to indicate a real lack of impartiality, and Dr. DeMarte confirmed that.)
I've been looking forward to hearing her thoughts on Jodi's psychopathology for a long time and finally the day is here!
