So you're saying because she has no weapons in her hand in that photo, that you suddenly find it less likely that she has the knife in say, her pocket?
I don't think you've ever needed help to believe the defense case. ;-) You're a pretty staunch proponent of their theories.
She's proven through tapes and the nasty photos that she's got plenty of "hiding places!"
That's why the gun misfired...the bullets were wet because she hid the .25 cal in her vag!

I don't know. But I cringed for her when she was testifying and mentioned she visited with JA while she was in AZ for her daughter's wedding. I think it creates a sticky situation with billing. Like did the state pick up the flight/travel costs & lodging (if she stayed in a hotel).

Lisa! Oh excellent thinking! That could very well be it and if not, they should look into it. This something I would not put past her.
Help me with something I'm struggling with. We all know Jodi went to mesa with premeditation. When she got there, why didn't she just shoot him and get out? She fell asleep in his arms. She could have shot him in his sleep. Jodi's a loon. Why would she shoot AND stab him? Overkill beyond a doubt. But why? Was there only one bullet? Do you think the gun jammed if she used it first? Why would she do all that stabby stuff? Just shoot him and leave, bitch!
I think I have read and thought of so many reasons why. But I just don't get this bitch.
Please share your thoughts. Thanks
I think with the way Jodi thinks, she wanted to punish him. This was a personal attack. She wanted him to know how *he* made her feel. She probably actually believed he was courting her. (Who uses that word anymore?) And when it finally hit her that he was going to Cancun with Mimi, she wasn't going to have it and she was going to let him know that she wasn't going to have it. She had to have her say in all of it.
I think she went there knowing it was going to end in one of two ways. She would seduce him and he'd change his mind about taking Mimi to Cancun or she was going to kill him. I can almost see the little wheels turning in her head and writing all this down in her stupid journal to figure it all out. I really think she packed up to leave and came back and gave him one last chance to change his mind. When he didn't, she flipped out.
Well she got to his house late at night (4am?), so i dont think she would have wanted to kill him point blank because that would have woke everyone up in the house. To me i think killing him was the last resort, i think maybe she went over there with the intention of trying to get him back, which is why she brought pictures over and all that..I think if he chose to get back with her that day, she wouldnt have killed him, which is why she probably was willing to have sex with him, but once it became clear to her that it wasnt happening, i think she went forward with her plan
I think she did the overkill because travis was probably fighting back alot and wasnt stopping, so in order to tame him she had to keep stabbing him

I live in AZ. Maybe I should get out my son's Toys R Us metal detector from 10 years ago and go searching for that jammed gun?? What do you think the yahoos at HLN would pay for that interview? I need to borrow some double AA's. Haha.
------
Welp I don't know about the yahoos at HLN but I am sure the people of AZ would rather pay you $250/hr and kick in a state of the art metal detector to find it.
:)
It seems as though the defense gets all of it's ideas for it's case off of forums and the internet? Can they not come up with their defense strategy on their own? Nurmi wouldn't have brought up the reflection in the eye had he not read it somewhere on the net. Geez.

If only she would fart unicorns. There'd be no need for a trial & her only televised moment would be a short appearance on the children's programme "Horrible Histories" in their "Stupid Deaths" segment.
When she first got there she said she asked him if anyone was home and he told her one flatmate was.
Maybe she did go to shoot him first but the gun jammed so she picked up her knife. Maybe she brought the knife as a backup as she didn't really have experience with a gun.
Hmmm ok. These are all good and you all are pretty close in theory. But I still don't get the brutality of it all. So there was major anger and I can just see her with her face all contorted with anger as she sliced him over and over. We've heard the theory to wash off DNA from his body but holy shit the place was a blood bath. She had enough forethought to ditch the sheets in the wash, their "stuff" would have been all over them. The Fog lifted long enough for her to think of that. She gets more despicable every day.
I don't think she expected all the blood nor did she expect him to crawl down a hallway. I'm sure when she figured it in her mind, she didn't figure it that way. During her interviews, she would comment on things she saw on TV. I think she figured out the hard way that it's not like on TV. If he didn't have roommates, I think she would have spent more time cleaning up. She figured that any hair or fibers could be explained away in that she was always at his house. She didn't see the bloody palm print. That was her undoing. Well, that and the camera. I think in her race to get traces of her gone, she didn't realize she scooped up the camera and stuck it in the wash. If it dawned on her later, I'm sure she figured everything was erased or would be ruined anyway. She sure wasn't sweating it at all. Cool as a cucumber. Those types are fucking scary.
