There appears to be a discrepancy with her DOB [probably an error, it DOES happen]. I believe it is Willmott, Arias' attorney, as I know for a fact that her maiden name is Sussman.

Don't pay any attention to this post. Jennifer Willmott was NOT arrested for pot. It's the wrong Jennifer and it's spreading fast.

Jodi's defense attorney, Jennifer Lynne Sussman Willmott was arrested for marijuana possession in 2008. The charges were later dropped by the prosecution, after Jennifer agreed to plead guilty & participate in a Deferred Prosecution Program, the penalties which remain confidential.

I'm a genealogist... I have researched her family for background. AL was married in 1967 divorced in 1980. Her husband remarried 5 months after the divorce was final. The children DID move with their father to Nor Cal (I have no way of knowing if that was via court order or not)

So in impeaching her does her testimony stand ? What is the point of impeaching someone if there is no penalty or repurcussions?

Haven't checked AZ detailed rules but every State and the Feds have them, they might just be tweaked slightly different.
Usually when wanting to 'impeach' it changs what rules are allowed in other words. You can ask questions you normally couldn't or like JM ge evidence marked that you normally couldn't use. Then you take those couple little extras and you go after them to lessen their crediblity or truthfulness.

It's like when you hear 'objection, irrelevant'. Then each side argue what they believe is a legal reason aka rule that should allow it. Judge weighs the arguments in their learned brain [ kind of like a mom knows the rules to the game the kids fight over] makes a ruling who is right. If you can't show the judge how this should be allowed you are sustained and stopped in that area. If Judge [mom] decides it the rules allow it you hear overruled and you get to go with it.
Same for hearing 'it's to impeach your honor' .. he was just telling the judge, he was invoking a different set of rules.
