[QUOTE=gecko am;3385887]He was naked. She easily could have closed the bedroom doors behind and ran outside. Like he would have followed her outside naked. I don't believe this liar.[/Q

Firstly this is NOT A CRITICISM of gecko, because gecko's post specifically discuses Jodi. This is more for our anonymous visitors in case someone takes a very general view of the story.

I don't believe her either. But if you hear a story like this from someone else, don't disbelieve them based solely on this. I had EXACTLY this happen to me & the guy involved was normally an EXCESSIVELY prudish person. He didn't even like getting dressed in the dark if he wasn't alone -to do so with the lights on? Unthinkable. So once his towel fell off I thought I'd be ok, that he'd attend to covering his previously much-protected nakedness, while I quickly made myself scarce. Just like that "kick 'em in the bollocks" myth though, if they're angry enough? Nothing registers but their own rage.

I couldn't believe he was yelling & attacking completely naked with the lights on & our balcony doors wide open (in the middle of Sydney city -passersby could see it all til I got out the door to the hall). I honestly didn't think he'd leave the bedroom without getting dressed. I thought if I got through the door, that would end it. He was too angry to even notice he was still undressed. I didn't want to run for the stairs because I thought he'd either catch me up & throw me down, or I 'd slip & he'd get me when I was down. In the past I'd avoided the stairs & locked myself in the bathroom to give him time to calm down, for those very reasons (maybe Oscar Pistorius' girlfriend did too?)

I don't really know why, but this time, in a split-second change of decision, I went for the stairs. I guess that really, I was afraid that this time, he'd kick the door in. I mean, if this prudish man had lost it so bad he didn't know he was naked, then I didn't want to be trapped behind a flimsy door, with him on the other side. Turns out I was right about the stairs. I slipped. I fell. He took that opportunity to roll a heavy, antique, 6 drawer high, chest of drawers, end over end, down the hall & shove it down the stairs at me. It was surreal. Crazy naked man at the top of the stairs while this giant object came at me in slow motion. I moved in time, it got stuck on the landing one step away from me & he blocked his only path of access to me long enough for me to get out onto the street. That finally stopped him. (we lived over the back of a major inner-city police centre, bad place to rage naked in the street)

During the whole incident, the thing that scared me most, (& also would've made me look crazy had anyone else been there to see, because I was switching from I'm going to die, to crap, this would be funny if I wasn't going to die), was watching a completely naked man violently roll these drawers over & over, completely oblivious to the fact that he was THAT close to getting his blokey bits caught & torn off with every turn. If a guy as prudish as this one could do it? Then if they're angry enough, a lot of other men could too. You even see d.v arrestees being cuffed naked on police reality shows every now & then.

So in Jodi's case, yeah bullshit - but don't disbelieve everyone just because she's a compulsive liar. She's done irreparable damage to current & future female d.v victims/survivors. But if she's got no conscience in regard to the family sitting RIGHT there in that room with her, she's not gonna give a shit about the thousands of nameless, faceless woman & children hurt by the endless ripple effect with Jodi at it's centre.

My husband and I were just talking about it. The only reason I hear about it is because I actively search it out. The hubs only hears about it when listening to the radio and they bring it up.

We don't watch the news, just Netflix. So, they would just have to avoid certain things during that time - I wouldn't be getting newspapers, going to news websites or watching news on television or listening to radio shows. If you avoid those, You wouldn't hear it.

Most people I mention the case to have no idea what I'm talking about, some have a very vague sense. No one brings it up first to me, except my family that knows I actively follow the case and will sometimes ask me questions. No coworkers ever mention it, never heard about it at social events or even church gatherings (only mention because mormonism is mentioned so much in this trial).

So, it is more than possible that they could find a new jury if, heaven forbid, they had to. They would have a far smaller pool of people to choose from, but I know most people I mention it to have no idea what I'm talking about! So, I usually don't bring it up to others anymore, lol. :)

So it is definitely very possible and the jury shouldn't have too hard a time avoiding it if they take the appropriate steps! JMO.
But..just per chance, could a potential juror say they had no knowledge of the trial and be lying? Absolutely...IMO.

The defense will have a chance to get some better expert witnesses. I found a guy who is willing to testify, he is an expert in battering.

so the last video that I posted, the one called jodi flipping the bird, shows a chick named Sherri Tanner that is taking the money for art sales on jodis website. I also dug up her resume and a funky video she had posted a year ago but she removed it about 3 hours after I published my video exposing her.

Does there come a point where the money being collected for Jodi need to be considered income by the courts? Could the sales of her art and the money being put in her commissary account cause her to lose her free ride with Kurt n Jenny?

How about Ma and Pa Arias, do they need to declare the donations as income?

I've sort of wondered about Jodi and drugs. It seemed like the girl never slept. I have often wondered if she did some meth on the way. Kept her up for the trip and gave her crazy energy for the attack?

No. A minor exaggeration on her CV does not mean she committed fraud. Being a biased witness is also not fraud. I believe Juan made a big deal of it (the keynote speaker issue), to show that she either exaggerates or lies (depending on your viewpoint), and that because of the exaggerating or lying, she is not a very trustworthy witness when it comes to other things.

I would find it odd tho if they didn't ask ahead of time if any of the jurors had diseases that might pop up.
Just a thought. Prolly not right.
Interesting point, I had not thought of that.

I was also thinking after I posted it that it is a mighty big coincidence that the juror got sick one day after the day the judge said trial would be wrapping up (4/11). Perhaps he thought everything was predictable down to the minute, and started making plans for right after the judge estimated they would be done?

Though he saught her out because of her looks, she encouraged him. He was a target. He was kind and giving and probably ignored his inner alarms. In addition, men who have been abused & neglected have a harder time with fear and weakness. When she started working him with the pedophilia he must have fought that definition. It's such a sad story.
I agree. I also think that as a lifelong manipulator, Jodi saw Travis as a fantastic 'mark', and one who would be even easier than usual to manipulate with sex.

I've met professionals like Alyce, they are so convinced of their righteousness that they can't see the light. She can not see that she is prejudiced. She may never recognize that her testimony is distorted.
I agree with this. ALV is very biased, quite obviously so. But she is very full of herself, so it seems unlikely she will ever see it. She strikes me as the type to never back off a position she has taken. And her bringing up her own situation was embarrassing, who does that? "I don't have a very good retirement." What on earth does that possibly have to do with this trial or her testimony? Ugh.

I've heard that some states will take any funds from the defendant if convicted. Not sure how much truth is to that though.. but these are paypal accounts that are in other peoples names so that might be a way of preventing jodi from claiming it as income.

also....... I would think that they have to pay taxes on these "donations" because they don't, to my knowledge have a tax exempt non-profit status. In Ca. it's a 501C3. I wonder if the FED'S are onto this jody scam?

    First-degree murder:

If the jurors unanimously decide Arias is guilty of first-degree murder for Alexander?s death, the case would then move to the aggravation phase.

That is the prosecution?s chance to present additional evidence that the death was caused in a cruel manner. Arizona law defines it as when the victim suffers physical pain or mental anguish and the defendant knew or should have known that the victim would suffer.

The jury would then deliberate for a second time to determine if the aggravating factor of cruelty is proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

If the jury does not find her guilty of cruelty, the case ends and the judge sets a sentencing date within 30 to 60 days. At the sentencing, the judge decides whether to sentence Arias to natural life in prison or life with parole eligibility after 25 years.

But if the jury decides cruelty is proven beyond a reasonable doubt, the case moves to the sentencing phase.

This is the defense?s opportunity to ask the jury for leniency and present evidence to support why Arias should be spared the death penalty. Witnesses may include Arias? friends and family. Arias could also make a statement to the jury.

The jury then deliberates for a third time to determine whether Arias should be sentenced to life or death. Their decision must be unanimous. In the case of a deadlock, a mistrial would be granted and a new jury would be chosen for this phase only.

If the jury votes for the death penalty, Arias would be sentenced immediately and she is likely to be sent to death row within hours. If the jury opts for a life sentence, the judge will set a sentencing date within 30 to 60 days and, at that time, will sentence Arias to natural life or life with eligibility for parole after 25 years.
ty is this when the Travis family would give impact statements?

That would depend on several things. I doubt any of the income actually comes in Jodi's name officially, so it would be difficult to prove that money being deposited in her comisary account is not a gift to her. Also, I highly doubt that even if Jodi made a truthful list of how much she has sold all her "art" for, that it would add up to a high enough income that she would not still be entitled to a public defender. Technically, Jodi probably should be declaring the money from the art sales as income on a tax return, but the income level is still pretty low, and since she is already in jail, the IRS coming after her is not really that much of a threat.

Think about it.... as of a week or two back, Jodi had at most made $10 - $20 from sales of her artwork, and the defense had so far cost 1.3 million dollars.

As far as Ma and Pa, it depends on many factors, but in general, gifts are not income. So if people want to give them individual small amounts of money as a gift, the IRS will probably not hassle them to declare it. Unless they get a 1099 form, in which case they would have to declare it because there would be a paper trail.

Donovan stated yesterday on NG he gets the tweets from her Donovan sits with her family in court.
Well to be fair, do we know how Donovan self identifies? As female or male?

I believe it is politically correct to call people who are transitioning (or living as a certain gender) by their gender of preference.

There is someone in the non-profit educational group I participate in who goes by a male name and has a gf, but clearly has some obvious female attributes. Everyone calls 'him' a he and refers to him that way in his presence and out of it. We never even give it a second thought. Not sure if anyone ever asked if he had surgery, or plans to, it just seems respectful to use his gender of preference. Donovan, loser jerk or not, might be in the same boat?

While I am willing to mock Donovan for being a bumbling, ignorant loser who blindly supports a sociopath murderess, I'm also willing to respect whatever gender choice s/he is making.

Oh, absolutely Faq. My point wasn't that they HAVEN'T seen it, but that it is POSSIBLE for people not to have...which was the question asked. When Nurmi says, "To believe that the jurors haven't seen media on this, is to believe a fairy tale," its just not true. Is it completely possible that one or more have...oh of course. We all know that the honor system is only as good as that person's value of "honor" is in the first place. We like to hope they would be honest, especially in a court of law...but who knows.

But if they took the appropriate steps to avoid it then I think it can be completely avoided and that there are people that know nothing of the case. That's all I was trying to say!

This made me think of Jodi, except she put Travis' name on HER shirt and pink shorts...to show she was HIS.
