Mom Sandy n Aunt have been living, eating, traveling, attending trial
1k miles away from home for well over 90 days.

Both Mom and Aunt left their full time jobs. (make less than 25k a year)
Before the trial THEY needed money to pay their bills - now their bills are still paid, yet they are on vacation in AZ for over 90 days. Although I truly wonder if he was "ill" in the usual sense? It seems odd that he sat through court for most of today just fine, and then suddenly, a few minutes before the end of the day and a whole weekend off, Juror #11 is suddenly SO ill that he not only can't finish out the last few minutes of the day, but he can't come back ever? That just seems very unlikely. What kind of illness strikes so quickly and the person already knows they will still be sick in three days when court resumes?

My guess is that he had some kind of meltdown and made clear he could not stand another moment of the trial. And obviously, the judge can't very well announce "Juror 11 just had a breakdown and is being dismissed", but saying illness covers it just fine.

I kind of got the impression he was feeling ill, possibly wanted to go home for the rest of the day and possibly couldn't continue Monday? After all of Stabby's sick days and even Alyce got one maybe figured it was no biggie and now the Judge has decided to that the train must run on time?

Although I truly wonder if he was "ill" in the usual sense? It seems odd that he sat through court for most of today just fine, and then suddenly, a few minutes before the end of the day and a whole weekend off, Juror #11 is suddenly SO ill that he not only can't finish out the last few minutes of the day, but he can't come back ever? That just seems very unlikely. What kind of illness strikes so quickly and the person already knows they will still be sick in three days when court resumes?

My guess is that he had some kind of meltdown and made clear he could not stand another moment of the trial. And obviously, the judge can't very well announce "Juror 11 just had a breakdown and is being dismissed", but saying illness covers it just fine.

If he had a chronic illness that flaired up. I have Lupus and know when a flare hits. He may have worked the day sick and had to go home. He could have migraines and they have increased listening to ALV andd just couldn't tolorate them anymore....? I dunno.
I would find it odd tho if they didn't ask ahead of time if any of the jurors had diseases that might pop up.
Just a thought. Prolly not right.
