I took offense at the idea that the statement made was insulting. It has been in my experience, with my own extraordinarily wonderful husband, that he follows this pattern a bit -- although, not in the way it was deemed as an insult. LaVi took a really, really long pause, mumbled around, looked shocked and uncertain and finally, sounding defeated said simply, "no." I am STILL shocked over that one!

It might be true of SOME men, but it isn't true of mine, or many other men I know. The problem with a statement like that is that it's general and sweeping.

That's the problem with statements like that - even if it may be true for most, it isn't true for all. My husband is definitely not that way and he would say so.

It's similar to saying that all black people like fried chicken! May be true for most...but not for all! ;)

Jodi is the victim...always!! This is common with someone with social disorders - my SIL is the exact same way and she is very similar to Jodi. Honestly, I would guess she blames Travis for his own death and for her being in prison and in this situation. It is his fault that he didn't just marry her! Obviously that was the right choice, but HE forced her hand and she HAD to kill him. Big, mean Travis for making her have to do that.

I see what you are saying. But, that is not what Alyce said she believed.

When talking about a single man playing the field, "what's love got to do with it?"

Single men need and want love as well. It's not ONLY about sex. Men are humans, whether they are married or single.
