It is HIGHLY probably (if not an absolute certainty) that Jodi Arias befriended Sherri Tanner while she was serving time in Maricopa County jail, coordinating her jailhouse calls to family/cohorts and manipulated her way into additional phone privileges (imo). After all, Jodi is only friends with people who can "serve her".

Does anyone else see a trend here of Jodi's jailhouse friends & scam artists running her various profit centers; from Donavan Bering running her Twitter and Sherri Tanner her artwork PayPal and criminals like Simon Johansson running her donation website?

I was surprised that she didn't launch right into "I learned that he battered and abused women"! Instead she said a few sweet things about him and then got out the nasty bits. Either way, it struck me as odd that she didn't come out and strongly label him as a perpetrator of domestic violence, which seems to have been her whole purpose in testifying.

Are watching the same trial as the rest of us?

CNN is fucked in the head. They are reporting that Alyce, JW and Disco Donna were followed to the restaurant the other night when their picture was taken. Totally not the case. Someone in the restaurant recognized them and took a picture and tweeted it to HLN.

I can't find the picture of ALV, JW & MIT specialist eating, but according to the girl who says she took the picture, it was dinner (not lunch) and they were telling ALV she made a mistake but couldn't hear what it was and they were coaching her. I think ALV was worse too. At least the Dr had moments of playing the bumbling fool and he was so ridiculous it became laughable. ALV is disrespectful to true sufferers of DV and only infuriated many.

When listening ALV go on and on yesterday about how horrible Travis's family life was growing up and how that affected him and turned him into an abuser, I kept thinking about his brothers and sisters sitting there in the courtroom...and with that testimony she may as well have also pointed her finger and all the siblings and accused them of being abusers too....made me feel so awful for them...like they haven't been through enough

But I work for The Irish One (partner) so i've caught up on my mobile I have developed what can only be likened to a crack addiction for this thread/case and have read every page from the locked thread and this one-jaysus!!! I've not been keeping up with my studying/housework etc so i can keep up. There are great posters on here, i love the differing opinions and ideas brought up.
The juror questions so far have been great, bravo to them for keeping up of such a long and tiring process. There has been talk of people brought forward in the rebuttal(?) stage, can someone tell me if the jury gets to leave questions for those people too?

Can two children facing identical abuse situations end up handling those situations very differently when they become adults. Can you explain how and why?

Sure! Uhm! When you grow up in the family that you grow up in, uhm, it's not just what's dealt to you, it's the way that you see what's dealt to you and anybody who has children or who has siblings knows that you---you know all of your siblings can see things differently, so, for instance, if you have an accessible adult that you can really count on--like you have a friend's parent or an aunt or an uncle or a grandparent that...that is there for you on a regular basis...uhm...that can change. Your personality, the way you take things in, if you blame yourself...uh...or you blame the parent or if you're able to see clear of that situation. If there's a community that's set up where you have--maybe you're in a scouting troop or if you go to a church or maybe, you know, are part of ..uh.. a softball team or a baseball team--somewhere where you get positive things--that can have an impact, but generally, most kids their brain development is exponential from zero to six. So most kids learn a lot about who they are between zero to six, not that we don't keep learning but...but you know your disposition, how you come out, your personality affects how you take things in. So there's a lot of things that can make a difference. The problem is that when you learn a lot of negative things in your family of origin--if you're neglected, if you're without food, if your parents are violent with each other, that, generally speaking, you're gonna' need some intervention to just help you in intimate relationships because you don't learn what you don't see and you don't have exposure to you--you know--even if you're a strong personality.

Wow! There's way too much in there to comment on fully, but how about just this. At the age of eight, Travis 'switched' his 'family of origin' and went to live with his grandparents and for the next few years he was an easy boy to raise and by the age of 15, he seems to have learned how to be a good kid and was well on his way to finishing high-school, joining the Mormon Church.

During Jodi Arias's parallel years, she bashed her brother on the head with a baseball bat, kicked the shit out of the family dog and drove it away, learned to grow pot in her Mom's Tupperware on the roof, hit and kicked her mother and, at 15, gave Clinton a BJ, and was well on her way to being a Grade 11 dropout and leaving home to shack up with Bobby Juarez.

Exactly which one of them was it who passed those years growing into Alyce's profile of an adult abuser? And what was it that Alyce said about intimate relations?
