yup that's what I thought you meant. The element of surprise is what you wish I think but, our courts aren't designed with that. Exactly why there is discovery.
Questions from the jury have to be reviewed for legal accetance, objections and the judge's ruling because they aren't lawyers and may not know how to form a legal question. And, the jury is not "crossing"

The questions must be crazy if we have to wait this long to hear them.

Ugh, I'm sure the defense team is bitching about something AGAIN. And every little complaint of theirs has to be thoroughly discussed so it isn't fodder for a mistrial. All of these delays are killing me! I'm going out to eat in 30min and wanted to catch at least a few juror questions : /

Argh. So we've had what? About an hour of testimony today? What a waste.

It would be disappointing if court shuts down for today and they start tomorrow.

Is there court tomorrow? My fried brain remembers Friday being discussed. After Wilnotshutup's questioning I am having difficulty even forming a sentence. Hope this goes away soon.

Geez, only two hours left in the day and we've only had a few minutes of trial.

THIS TRIAL IS NEVER GOING TO END.

I guess I understand what you are saying. I'm kind of off today, too. Do you know whether she got to see a list of jury questions that were directed to her? Now that would seem like an unfair advantage. Spending oodles of time in her cell getting her answers just right.

While we are waiting, does anyone think

A.) That Alyce will look over the jury at some point and say "are you mad me?"

B.) That Alyce will turn and tell the jurors that if they were in her class she would them a time out?

Someone was saying that we lose the "surprise" factor when they get the opportunity to review juror's questions and that it'd be great if only the judge knew them in advance. They were saying that it loses impact when the witness is prepared for the questions as they have time to formulate an answer - like with Jodi.

So, I believe it was then responded to that even if that is the case, JM doesn't give them a list of questions he is going to ask so we DO get to see the "caught off guard with no time to create an answer" aspect.

It was all just part of a forward-moving conversation. That is how it all got connected. Hope that helps!! :) (Your off day would be about as on as one of my on-days! You are sharp as the knives in Jodi's collection!!)

I can only imagine how frustrated the jury gets with all this "down" time, too.

oh no, it's not like evidence copies or anything. The jury questions don't leave the court. We know she's not a quick study so her seeing them did her little good imo. We know she can't remember her own stories from one day to the next. : )

She did not get a copy of juror questions to "study'. She had a short time to review the questions with her attorneys.

If I was a juror that is what would be making me angry.

I love that they can ask JM type questions and she has no choice but to answer them without using a one-liner!

Yeah. At least we can do other things. They have to sit and wait. And not talk about the trial.

I have no doubt that the defense team copied the questions down and prepped Jodi. They could have used their phone and snapped a picture. I know the questions can't leave the court, but I don't know of any other rules.

Oh, I can't even imagine. I would bring a book, or two...or an entire library. But, reading can make me sleepy, so that could backfire.
