If Travis knew Jodi was unstable, overly attached, and having a hard time letting go, every time he initiated contact with her (phone, email, text, sex, phone sex) he was inviting her back into his life and saying "hey, I accept you, your behavior is ok enough for me to be around you, I feel safe with you." Whether or not Jodi was a stalker is not just about whether or not Travis called her a stalker. Whether or not Jodi was a stalker is determined by her behavior. Imo, her behavior of obsessing about him, following him, hacking, peeping, tire slashing, snooping, etc, etc make her a stalker. Even if Travis never used the word stalker about her, she would still be one.
How about this example:
Let's say I get obsessed with you, coconut. And I manage to figure out where you live. And I come to your city and follow you around. I take pictures of you without your knowing it and save them to moon over. One day when the weather is nice and your doors are open, I even sneak into your house and make a wax impression of your house key. Now I have a duplicate key to your house. I come in when you are at work and go through all your stuff. I even take a few souvenirs that smell like you. I especially like to lay in your bed and think about you. I install a key logger on your computer, so now I know everything you do online. I join every website you post on, so I can be near you. My life revolves around you. You are not aware of my obsession. I dare you to claim I am not a stalker in that situation merely because you are not afraid of me.
