Im gonna comment on Alyce even though I got 4 more pages to read. Here's how I am viewing Alyce.
You may remember the testimony regarding Alyce's apology to JA for reading her most personal private journals. She apologized after spending about 7 hours reviewing written materials but before she met JA. When she was pressed to explain why she apologized she fumbled around saying the journals were sort of sancroscant like reading her daughter's journal. Once she said that her facial expression changed dramatically as if to say "oh shit, did I really say that?" As her testimony continues she gives reasons for her opinion based upon having adult children - from the perspective of being a mother. This tells me Alyce is having countertransference with Jodi.
Countertransference is a psychological phenomenon in which the therapist has feelings about their client based upon the therapist's life history and clouds the judgement. Alyce is acting and evaluating Jodi as she would her own daughter. This could very well be due to Jodi reading Alyce and sensing she has issues surrounding her daughter. Jodi in turn would work that weakness. Alyce entered this case influenced by something other than JA and the truth of the matter. I dont think it is about money or fame...its about her own personal needs and emotions.

this goes back to someones post about having direct experience in a certain issue...To be a therapist you do not have the experience to be able to help someone. Good god...if I had to have personal experience in every single aspect of what I provide therapy for I guarantee I would be dead!!! I have direct experience with a lot of issues not so much. I chose not to counsel some because of either a personal bias or really just know knowledge of the issue. I choose not to counsel domestic violence persons..why? Because I have way too much personal experience and it may cloud how I counsel.

Alyce is back on the stand. JM is still up for the state. Alyce is still saying that there is no proof that Jodi was a stalker.
Didn't Jodi have sex with Travis on Jan 21, 2008? No I don't have evidence of that.

Are you applying a different standard to Jodi and stalking? They are two different dynamics.

Approach
Jodi had family issues. Jodi's father was less than truthful. The father makes sexual comments to her. Dad was mean. The dad pushed her and dad was controlling with the mother. Mom use to beat her with a wooden spoon.
Pedo- Alyce told JM that Travis was on the computer with the Pedo during one interview with JM. Alyce now says she misspoke. This was in Nov 2012. Alyce says that Jodi did NOT tell her that, it was a mistake. Alyce said it 3 times during that Nov interview with JM. JM is saying that Alyce changed her testimony or Alyce was sloppy with her paperwork. Alyce responds that she made a mistake.

Alyce just admitted that she is basically reading between the lines of Jodi's word in her diary. "Nothing Noteworthy" to Alyce means "Something noteworthy" happened.
Alyce says she is not an expert on Pedo or sex addiction. Alyce says Jodi has a broken finger. Alyce believes the Pedo.

Alyce believes what she believes because she read. Alyce believes there is DV involved and that's all she is here to talk about.
Is there reason to believe the Pedo story? Alyce says that Travis talks about Porking a little girl. JM corrects her and says that was the sex tape. (OMG, this chick is unbelievable)

Maybe she's taken to Jodi as the daughter she really didn't interact with. I understood her children went to the father, but we don't know why.

I agree. I don't think she is a terrible person, just kind of fucked up, and she feels empathy for Jodi for some reason. Countertransference seems like a good explanation!

With the way things are going, I would be surprised if JM didn't bring out an autopsy photo. ALV is the DV expert right? Well this is domestic violence if I ever saw any! (referring to what JA did to Travis).
I hope thats not why. Judge doesn't seem like she'd be pissed about the victims family being emotional. She's let a lot worse things slide than that.

When Jodi is sitting there quietly writing or drawing, she makes me think of a child who is at work with a parent & is keeping herself busy while the parent works.

I think that is giving her too much credit. She hates men. Plain and simple. She will believe a woman over a man any day even when the evidence suggests otherwise. I dont think she is transferring feelings for her daughter towards Jodi, I think it is simply a hate for men. JMO!

Exactly. Jodi didn't get the police involved when the "abuse" started so does that mean she was never abused? Well we all know she wasn't but I would love to hear Alyces response to that!
