I asked a deaf friend to do same and he said he could not pick up enough info because "she was mumbling". He had no idea what was going on or what the case was about, and that made it more difficult, too.

From what I understand, you pretty much have to keep emotion and facial expressions to a minimum. Look at juror #5, I think she stood out and just got more attention. As for the juror questions, I wonder if Judge Sherry shuffles them up to keep it low key. I really want to know what JA is scribbling down in her notebook.

Alyce wants to give Juan Martinez a "Time Out". I can';t believe she got away with this. The Judge should have excused the Jury and then read her the riot act.

How many canned lines do you guys think Alyce has left in her bag of tricks? From the "Are you mad at me, Mr Martinez" to this nonsense yesterday her act is wearing thin, jmo.

She thought attacking The Prosecutor would be the best way to distract from all the lying, manipulation, jealousy and stalking from the defendant that she chose to overlook being brought out in this cross examination.
It just makes her look worse, IMO.

I don't know how ALV is classified as an "expert". Her testimony is purely based on her "opinion" of the evidence that was provided to her. She did not appear to delve any further then just to look at what was provided to her...which to me disqualifies her as an expert. And just as JM said to her yesterday, someone else can look at the same evidence that you did and come to a different conclusion. I think she is biased towards the defense (ofcourse she is, they are the ones paying her) and its been pointed out quite a few times, she ALWAYS chooses to believe JA's word and not Travis's. Remember this ALV...Opinions are like assholes, we all have one

I'm sure as an ameteur she's stayed up nights trying to plot them, all for not. Juan is uneffected by them and handles them quickly and very professionally. So all she has managed to do is make herself even more less credible [if that is possible]. Yesterday's wasn't even a rational thought one! She'll put someone in time out for asking questions?!

The serious concern imo is someone needs to go back and check all her court testimony in previous cases on all the men she has unjustly railroaded with her anti-male bias.

You can justify it all you want, but I am certain that 99% of those "reviews" are not left to "warn" potential customers, but in order to hurt LaViolet financially. Because they are pissed. It's a vengeance thing, which kind of grosses me out.

Let the people who actualy read the book review it. Just because LaViolette is testifying for the defense (for reasons not entirely known to us - I kind of suspect that she fell under Jodi's spell and is only just realizing this) does not mean that her book isn't any good or that it can't help people. I don't know and probably never will because of all the bogus reviews left by people who are bent on destroying her.

I have quite a few author friends, who have books for sale on Amazon. I've written reviews for their books in addition to writing for books that I've bought through them. Alyce, herself, should be able to remove any of the comments that are not directly linked to critiquing the book. I would never leave a comment unless I had actually read the book. I am surprised that Amazon, itself, hasn't blocked out the comments, but they are probably not aware of it. I think it's unfair to use that forum to make jabs at her.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not saying those bad reviews are right, but perhaps that's why people are doing it (because they are so riled up over her testimony...oh, and maybe the fact that the price of her book is too high...those are textbook prices. Ouch.)

Oh, I know why people are doing it (and why they did it to Samuels too): they're pissed. And it's an outlet. I still find it kind of disgusting.

I don't agree with just blasting out hateful rants. However, when I am going to shell out $40.00, I wouldn't mind a polite warning that the author is biased, hates men, and a pointer to the evidence that she is.
