However, after she was caught, she said that she made an en route impulsive decision to visit Travis in Mesa after she called him from the road on her way out of L.A. and he 'guilted' her into driving to see him. That's the point--the impulsive last minute decision. Now, it appears, that she called Darrell days before she set out from Yreka on June 2, 2008, asking him if he still had the gas cans and if she could borrow them for a trip to Mesa. That's the story Alyce recorded in her notes that Juan is questioning her about. It proves Jodi Arias's premeditation; i.e. that her intention and purpose was always to go to Mesa and her statements to Darrell prove it and disproves Jodi Arias's claim that her decision was last minute and impulsive.

No, she could not refuse to continue. She could however, change her opinion and say she no longer supports her previous opinion based on new material but based on Alyce's combativeness and ideology I find that highly unlikely to happen.
