The fact that LaVi is behaving this way proves to me, more than anything else, that she is anti-male and pro-female.

1. She took Jodi's side without really looking to see if Travis could have been abused. Jumped to conclusions without proper investigation -why? Because the female is always the abuse victim (in her eyes anyways).
2. The defense made sure to have Jennifer examine her instead of putting MALE Nurmi up there - they perhaps knew that she would be less helpful with a male asking her questions.
3. She refuses to admit any bias or obligation to Arias while avoiding to take into consideration any mentions from Travis that point the finger at Arias as the potential abuser/manipulator
4. She spars with JM from moment ONE! She fights him even on meaningless aspects. She cannot stand the idea of a evil MAN getting one-up on her, no matter HOW meaningless the point may be.

It is childish, unprofessional and insulting. If she would just honestly answer the questions, it would be better for her AND the DT.

If one is telling the TRUTH there should be nothing to hide.... if you did everything the honest and right way one should no have a problem answering Martinez' questions. Obvously Alyce's 'integrity and livelihood' is not truthful, for if it was she wouldn't have anything to 'cover up' which is why she is what she is doing by arguing w/ Martinez

I'm conflicted on the AVL dislike. On one hand, what do you expect her to say? She's a paid defense witness - OF COURSE she's going to find evidence of Jodi being a battered woman. OF COURSE she's going to generate a report in the defendant's favor. She did everything that she was supposed to do, as far as what the DT wanted out of her.

On the other hand, you know that if you make a biased report, you're gonna get torn to shreds by the prosecutor. It's his job to take you down as a credible and partial witness. Her exchange with Martinez is what she signed up for when she decided to testify for the defense.

So what do you do as a witness? If she had completed a completely fair and balanced report based on the things we know from the trial and about Travis and Jodi, do you really think she would have come out with the report she's presented? This is why I'm conflicted about her - she did what she was paid to do. Whether it was right or wrong, she completed the job to the best of her ability. Anyone else feel this way?
