I used to own a record player and after a while as the needle aged, it would skip on the record repeating the same part of the song over and over again. Now, I bring up that analogy because it can be used to describe the manner of questioning by JW and Nurmi or it can be used with serial posters that bother the thread repeating the same nonsense over and over again. It may very well be on topic but a point only has to made once. If others do not view that point the same way, try to make a different point then and forget about it. Okay, I feel the fog coming over me and some much needed sleep after my debacle early this morning. Peace be with you all and a cold syringe full of liquid for miss Stabby! Night!

So I guess they forgot about Travis exiting the shower and the body slam and Jodi running, and going into the closet, and grabbing the gun, and running into the bathroom and turning and shooting him while he tackled her like a linebacker (all according to JAs story).

That's what I get for watching this moronic show, I guess. I suppose it serves me right.

It's also a sign of inflated self worth/ego which is a trait of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Her family thought she could be bipolar bc she had severe mood swings. That is a symptom of Borderline Personality Disorder which I think she has.

What's even worse is that this is a re-run. They did the camera one sometime last week I wanna say. Guess they are running out of material to create new scenarios for their "jury" to vote on.

The "defense" people on this epi are ridiculous. They just think that Jodi kicked that camera all over the place. I still think she had a wrist strap. There are several camera pics of Jodi out there where she is holding her own camera with a wrist strap, so I don't think it's hard to imagine she brought one for Travis. She could've even said "oh this will make it easier to carry around in Cancun!"

Don't feel bad, I'm watching it too on my computer. My friend has basketball game on TV so loud, so that's my excuse. I agree that it is the most ridiculous thing HLN has come up with. Judge Seidland? Talk about a circus.

Defense psychologist did not diagnose her as Bi-Polar, and I don't believe she suffers from it. Have heard opinions on just about every personality disorder out there, and she seems to have traits of all of them.

Was that Dr. Dick? I thought his main purpose was to sell the amnesia/PTSD angle for the defense. He didn't strike me as someone that was actually trying to evaluate her mental state. I'll be very interested to hear what the prosecution's psychologist has to say. I wsh there was an 'impartial' psychologist w/o an axe to grind...I just find her so fascinating in a horrible, evil kind of way.

    i didn't mind poppy!

what i do mind is godamned Willmott objecting every question. I believe it has gotten to the point where she is being obstructive. she is constantly being overruled. its time Juan filed his own motion...a motion to require willmott to re-read the rules of evidence before court convenes tomorrow.

First, I'd want to see exactly what is being characterized as a "manifesto" as that is a loaded term.

For Jodi, I've been going back & forth with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Borderline. Grandiose thinking is the hallmark of NPD, and some of what I heard today speaks to NPD: Einstein IQ, signed copies of her thoughts, etc.

I think we're seeing here is a not uncommon overlap of key features.

I think the term bipolar is attached literally here, versus the diagnosis.

I agree, but he is a psychologist who evaluated her, and he immediately concluded she has PTSD. I would think that in his questioning he would have picked up on mental illness. The State expert probably did an extensive evaluation of her mental state. She will probably enlighten us with her assessment. I am not a professional, but I do have knowledge of Bi-Polar Disorder and have not seen anything that suggests it.

Cliff notes, because I'm too lazy to quote:

    1. If you had done as I suggested, and read up on abuse, then you would understand that abuse victims stay with their abusers, even if the abuse is terrible or dangerous. The reasons vary from case to case, but the fact remains that even in the face of terrifying assaults, abuse victims sometimes don't even fight back. Abuse victims have even been known to try to defend their abusers (such as when authorities come to arrest the abuser, the victim will sometimes attack the arresting officers).

Google is a wonderful tool, as are libraries. Before you post (again) "But Travis did stay with her! There's evidence! He was willing! He wanted her!", I recommend that you research abuse victims, and do a little research on how manipulation works. I would recommend reading up on con artists. That gives you an idea of how they work: Basically, they make you think that what they want is what you want, even if under normal circumstances, you would never agree to do whatever it is they want to involve you in.

    2. Even if he continued to engage with her, so what? You keep saying he didn't do enough. You don't actually know whether or not he looked into getting help or not. You kind of base your opinions on fact, but you don't have the full facts, because you were not privy to all of Travis's conversations with people. You don't know if he called from a payphone at six in the morning to a hotline to get help. You don't know if he went to the library and read up on stalkers. You don't know if he struck up a conversation with a stranger and unburdened himself. You don't know that he didn't make an anonymous call to an attorney's office and asked for advice.

So please. You don't know enough to say that Travis didn't do enough. And go back to point one, just to refresh yourself.

    3. The word of the day is "blame".

    From dictionary.com:

Since you are so adamant about facts and the truth, then you must realize that you finding fault with Travis's actions is actually blaming him.

You can repeat yourself over and over, and I will be more than happy to remind you every time you post this nonsense that you are blaming Travis.

Perhaps what you mean is this: Travis is not to blame for his death. Jodi is to blame. It is impossible to know when someone who has shown tendencies to be a stalker will become dangerous. Travis's tragic death is a cautionary tale to all of us to take threats seriously.

Is that closer to what you mean? Remember! Before you post again, that Google is your friend. Try to do some research before you say anything else, ok?

Please remember that I told you that I was stalked ( therefore abused). I understand completely what abuse is. Believe me, I did the research. It is one of the reasons I am alive today.

You say: "then you would understand that abuse victims stay with their abusers, even if the abuse is terrible or dangerous." This is for some victims of abuse, not all. Prove to me where ALL victims stayed or stay with their abusers. You cannot.... because they do not. You have one example right in front of you. Why did I choose to break away, to not engage etc. I chose this...because I was in fear for my life and knew that engaging with my stalker might just kill me. I did everything I could to get away...and I did.

Finding fault with Travis 's inaction is not blaming him for his murder. It is simply saying he continued to engage. Neither of us knows why for sure he chose this route. He had many options at his finger tips. However, he chose the worst option with all the knowledge he had. ( The case evidence proves he knew she was stalking him, he knew she was unbalanced. He called her a sociopath and evil. This is not opinion but fact ). Had he tried to choose a better option, he MIGHT still be alive today. Moral of the story is: When someone shows you themselves, believe them. Take care of yourself by taking any action you can. If you continue to make unhealthy choices and can't stop, maybe you are addicted to something or someone and this is a problem only you can face and change.

OH? you have seen it b4? I wasn't really sure if that's what it was or not, I read an earlier post that Willmott had a cell phone & JA was eyeing it.
So TY for posting-- now if I can find the part where the prev poster was talking about... any help?
(oh & yes it stayed put in that same spot til the end but I haven't yet looked when it was placed in front of Willmott prior to JA moving it)
I sent this to you when I repped you a bit ago, beginning of the day when court is just starting, Wilmott is answering a text and Jodi watches every move of that phone with her eyes to where Wilmott put it down right under the screen in front of her. It is while they are just settling in at the beginning of the day.

Thanks to Sheesh and Shell for your thoughts.

Here's the latest on the Manifesto: the Huffington Post has filed an official request with the prosecutor's office for a copy. The answer was ..."the State is seeking guidance from the Court on the nature and degree to which future public records requests could or should be fulfilled for the duration of the trial. We will cease fulfilling public records requests for materials in this case until such a determination is made."

Damn, I really want to read this!

Just finished watching today's testimony. I LOVED how Alyce demonstrated for the jury, first hand, how she biased she was in assuming that the names in the text message were because TRAVIS made a mistake....and discounted that maybe Jodi may have been lying. And how she formed her opinions based on the words of people she'd never met, but she chose to disregard what Travis and another woman said about Jodi being a stalker! No wonder JW looked like she was ready to blow a gasket at the day's end! Very effective in discrediting this witness and the value of her testimony.
Ms. LV, ironically, represents one of the people who are "vulnerable" to a manipulative abuser. Doc Dick was another. Jodi reminds me of the snake in the Jungle Book.....complete with the swirling eyeballs, who just mesmerizes certain people into compliance with her wishes.

Nope, dont think she is bipolar. Full blown manics are usually psychotic and disorganized and funny as hell. Grandiose thoughts/delusions are huge - more on the order of being or knowing God, not as small as writing a manifesto (who cares?) autographing a copy (again, who cares cause she wasn't famous). Manics have elevated euphoric moods - ver very happy. JA has never demonstrated euphoria or regular happiness.

To me, she has a personality disorder or she is malingering. I would go with malingering. Its possible acting crazy stuff so someone (especially other prisoners) would think she is crazy. Problem is if you are acting crazy, you probably wont get it right. I've seen ppl try to act crazy, its never "spot on". Jail and prison is another world. One tries to get props so no one fu*ks with you. I am betting she was doing what was necessary to be safe and sound. She adapts.

Hypergraphia isn't just writing a lot. I have seen hypergraphia and it usually is writing that leaves no white-space on the page. Schizophrenics write lots of stuff, but I dont think she is schizophrenic. The writings are about scary stuff or delusional beliefs. My experience is that if it is in isolation it is a neurological disorder kind of thing. I would guess GF is bored to death in jail and her silly little mind figures maybe this will work to divert attention from me killing Travis.

Batman is our expert on the personality disorders. We will have to wait for Batman's arrival to have something definitive on JA's dysfunction. Personality disorders arent my strongest suit.

I think she spent a very short amount of time cleaning up and then she became overwhelmed and she realized there was no way in hell she could even make a dent in this mess. I am sooo glad that she missed that hand print! Also by the looks of her room at her grandparents house it would seem housework is not her forte! I'm guessing she relies on her other talents to get by!
