I believe if the IMing was through google mail (gmail), then Jodi could have been logged into Travis' account at the same time as Travis was IMing with someone else, so she could see what was being said. I'm not sure about that though.

gmail messaging (talk) and facebook messaging is generally saved and viewable from any computer when you log on

I don't think Jodi could log in to Travis's gmail while he was already in there, however, Gchat (IM within GMail) does save your IM history and at the end of the chat, will email you the entire chat. The email would be titled something like, "your text conversation with Travis Alexander". You can opt to turn this feature off. So it is possible that Jodi logged into Travis' GMail at a later point and read his chats with whichever girl.

When I started my job in 2007, they started me with 22 days of PTO/sick time, except it had to be accrued and you could only go 80 hrs in the hole. So.
