I don't think it's mondays, wildabouttrial has been there all along and he said he's never seen that many before.

Wasthinking posted: and I forgot to post that post.

She probably washed off in the shower. We know that the police believe Jodi washed Travis' body; to get her dna off him most likely. They said some of the wounds were definitely washed. Jodi had to clean up too, since she couldn't risk tracking blood or leaving footprints or handprints (though she left a handprint anyways).

My thoughts are that she showered over the body, toweled off with the towel that was thrown in the washer, tossed her bloody clothes in her backpack and then either had a change or borrowed something of Travis' to wear.

Why do I think she showered with his body? The large amount of water that had been on the floor. It had reached into the linen closet and helped diluted blood soak up the sides of a box. With 2 people in there; Travis in a prone position, she would not have been able to get the door completely shut, thus water running/spraying out.

I believe that's why the towel and Travis' clothes went into the washer with the bleach, to get her dna off it. No way did she think it was going to remove all that blood.

Also, with regards to her change of clothes; Travis had sweats, there was a pair in the washer. So, it's possible she grabbed another pair from his room if she didn't have a spare in backpack. Also, in the Flores report, it's mentioned that Jodi told Det. Flores that she left some clothing at Travis' and would she be able to retrieve it. If that's the case, and Jodi had some clothing there, she could have just gone into a drawer or wherever and got something that she had left behind.

NOTE: MOTION TO PRECLUDE; ANY AND ALL EVIDENCE RELATED ANY WEIGHT ASSESSMENTS OR TESTING ON SHELVING AT PLACE OF DEATH
I found it on the JAI(GUILTY)I site. This was something I picked up on immediately at the end of Jodi's testimony. The shelves that Jodi claimed to step on in the closet to get the gun are resting steps. If she put her foot on the front, the front would lift up from the back, dropping everything from that shelf on the floor. In other words, there are 4 little pegs that the shelf is resting on top of that would NOT hold weight when stepped on. I almost spit my pepsi out when Juan said that. This could be very interesting and very incriminating for Jodi,
Oh my. Yeah, the defense doesn't want the jury to see the actual shelves, because there is no way she could put weight on them without the shelf tipping and Jodi and the clothes falling off. Needless to say, no one is going to believe that in the middle of "running for her life" that she stopped to perfectly arrange the clothing on the shelf.

I wonder if they would actually take the jury to the crime scene? I know someone else owns it now, but I think the closets would have remained the same.

Probably for picking on his shitty expert witnesses.

Loving JM's use of "passing judgment" "you passed judgment" with Alyce.

If Jodi seemed to think a screensaver with bugs on it was a virus then I don't think it's likely she could go to that extreme.

He knew she was getting into his emails etc and I think the comment was a hit out at her on the offchance she might read it later.

A while back, I posted about a defense strategy in which expert witnesses were coached to question Martinez, to act with distain and when the "are you angry with me" and the loud laughing response. It turns out I was correct in that there was only a few ppl who laughed out loud. The two women are friends of Alyce. Donavon and the mitigation specialist laughed too. It is my sincere belief that the judge admonished Alyce and the mitigation specialist about this outburst. No one will be able to convince me that the outburst was in support of Alyce.

This could be another tactic to throw Alyce off. Alyce pissed off is a recalcitrant witness. She becomes confrontative rather than simply answering the question. She is horribly biased. Its pitiful.

Guess Alyce doesn't see the irony in complaining about someone else taking ANYTHING out of context. She spent 7 days prosthelytizing for a pathological liar and taking all kinds of things out of context

I don't IM...is there some way to "eavesdrop" on an IM, or did he mean she could access the IM and read later? (Juan's ref to Jodi and the woman both addressing Jodi personally in the IM.)
It depends on what kind of IM. I didn't catch it. Did they say on the computer or on cell phone? Because, if you have a Blackberry, for example, you have an Instant Message program that is separate from regular testing. It's like a computer IM on your phone; you can see who is online, statuses, etc. In Blackberry you can choose to have your conversations saved to the phone, so someone could come back and read the history.

With IM on computer, you can also set up an option that allows messages to be archived, i.e. saved on your computer. There, someone could just go into the messenger/IM program and look up the history.

So yeah, either way, it's definitely possible for someone to go back and read history.

She looked a lot better when she fixed herself up and wasn't starving herself to look helpless and demure. Lack of makeup is making a huge difference in her appearance.

I believe if the IMing was through google mail (gmail), then Jodi could have been logged into Travis' account at the same time as Travis was IMing with someone else, so she could see what was being said. I'm not sure about that though.

Screamy he wasn't. Nor was he super-shouty (I got that term from the brilliant youtube impersonation of Arias posted by a member here). Last week he started off perfectly reasonably and escalated tone to suit the witness' demeanour. ALV was difficult from the start. These talking head defense losers on HLN wear me out with their paid for criticisms of the prosecution. Juan Martinez uses a strategy of increasing or lowering combativeness to mark a witness as questionable.

ALV is paid to be present (at a rate vastly more than each juror as an expert witness). They will note that. They will also observe how limited her knowledge is without prompting or reading. The juries have had to evaluate considerably more than ALV so their sympathy for her lack of memory should be minimal. ALV is not a volunteer giving a talk to a local women's group. She is a paid expert who should be able to respond coolly and professionally under pressure. I disagree that her subject matter should make Martinez treat her differently. She is more qualified than any other witness to deal with anger, she not? The points where he applied pressure were carefully judged. Many people have to deal with pressure and keep cool in their jobs for a lot less per hour than ALV. She is thoroughly embarrassing herself now. Her smugness is intolerable.

Oh, I think you misunderstood my post...sorry. I was merely stating in my opinion, that Juan sometimes goes a little far with the volume and the speed of which he asks the questions with a new defense witness. I'm not saying she wasn't also being combative and non-responsive. I also agree with that. But I couldn't really give a shit about the defense or any of their witnesses. I'm rooting for Juan, and I hope he doesn't alienate the jury with the aggressive nature. I also said I thought he was doing better with it cooling it today....and I hope it continues. Sorry if my post came off offensive or uninformed.

So much for only water bottles allowed in the courtroom. In plain sight on the Mitigation Specialist's desk is a Mountain Dew. WTF! Like the judge can't see that!

I can't speak for everyone that likes his change of style, such as Beth karras ,other lawyers, people on this board. Personally, I could care less about the defense. It has nothing to do with the defense. It has to do with preferring a style. He is being effective without being a bully. I think the jurors can really hear what he is saying now, therefore seeing her in a different light and it is not favorable. I lurked for a while before I joined. It seemed like an intelligent group. You are. But BECAUSE people don't think everything is black and white does not mean we all do not want the same result. JA convicted of murder 1.

In my experience with the various IM clients available, AIM, MSN, Yahoo and the like, you have to turn on the message archiving. Also, I believe that once a person is logged into an IM client, another person cannot log into that account at the same time. A key logger could be used to gain passwords if Stabby was that smart. You can install one on a pc and have it send you information at another location on another pc. I hope that answers some of your question. It's been a long time since I was asked to hack....obtaining passwords is relatively easy with the right tools.

Is this a one idea message group? I don't see it that way. People should not be afraid to post what they feel because they are the minority. Viva la difference.
