JM's tone is clearly different from yesterday and Lava's clearly is not. Could have been a strategy on his part that no matter his tone, this expert witness is defiant, evasive, combative and biased.

Seems like the first day on cross with a new witness, he's like a bull right out of the gate...and doesn't let the witness utter one word to answer anything. I AM OBSESSED with Juan Martinez...but you don't come across aggressively to a woman like this who deal with abuse all day. I know he has one style and one speed...but for the jury's sake, it might do him a little good to stick to the questions, and cut the sparring. Today has been better, hope it continues! JUAN

A very small part if at all. He just filed it, the judge would simply set a hearing date for arguments to be presented. JM has the right to brief his response so the judge wouldn't act today past setting response and hearing dates.

I think it's because Juan Martinez is batter up! If I lived close I would camp out the night before just to get in to court to see him live in action. Also would like to see Flores too if he is still there. Both super heros that do deserve a huge recognition after the trial.

One thing has always bothered me, the fact that neither defense "expert" interviewed anyone related to the case; maybe Samuels, one or two? Anyway, if not, and were able to, why not? Why didn't LV speak with her parents, any of the boyfriends, any of Travis' so called "abused/vulnerable" former girlfriends, for clarification??? Afraid of what they might learn, be compelled to testify to on cross?

Exactly why. Neither "expert" interviewed anyone except for Stabby.

and alyce keeps trying to go back to the dates, when they really don't have anything to do w/ the question, the fact she believed every thing jodi emailed, texted and im, and nothing that travis said is they key, and she is tring so hard not to admit it

Just for a reference:

The last nice text from Travis to Jodi was May 11 (unless there are more released later on)

The next text was May 25-26 where he called her the sociopath, then on the same date they continued on with 16 pages of IM messages where he calls her all those names.

That was it from Travis!!!! 2 messages between the 11 and 25-26.

In between that time, Jodi sent him that long email, then 2 days later she sent him that stupid poem.

The next time Travis talks to Jodi is on June 2nd when they have the short phone called about the PPL member who died (or so Jodi says) but there were multiple times she called him and he didn't answer.

I hope the jury gets their complete phone records.

The cross examination has barely started. It is risible to suggest Juan Martinez moves more quickly when he has barely had a few hours (including long reads from ALV and constant Defense interruptions). ALV droned on for days. There is a lot of material to cover and Martinez has prepared. He will now attack and destroy with ease. ALV is already looking like a sulky teenager - petulant bottom lip almost trembling - sarcastic smiling and glances to the jury. Her shoulder shrugs and inability to say anything of use without reading is discrediting her more every second. She is a fish out of water, gasping for air and looking to the Defense to rescue her far too often.

I think ALV has failed further then Samuels now. She started looking homely, folksy, pleasant enough and she now looks argumentative, belligerent and like a betrayer of the very people she claims to advocate for. Samuels didnt advocate for much beyond his pay. This must resonate with the jury.

What I got from the last "round" was getting her to admit she picks and chooses whether she believes certain texts and doesn't believe others.

The evidence presented above is why people get frustrated with those accusing the victim of doing nothing to cut Arias off. When he did exactly that, she killed him. My opinion is that she didn't tell him she was going to visit. It is possible she did, of course but I doubt it.

There are so many interesting and compelling theories being presented here. The admonishment to believe not a word Arias says without evidence is critical.

I don't know why we bother analyzing Stabby's comments on _____________. Everything she says is bullshit.

I don't think she told TA she was coming but I do think he let her into the house once she arrived. Maybe she gave him a song and dance about being too tired to drive any further, had no $$ for a hotel, etc.

Yeah I am baffled about the footprints. She was wearing socks which got bloody after she walked around in the blood in the entrance to the bedroom. However there are blood shoe prints in the bathroom? Did she wash the blood off the shoes before leaving.

There was ONE bloody shoe print in the master bathroom. I think she went back in there before she left trying to find the camera, not realizing she'd put it into the washer.

Welp, that didn't go good. So, I went down to the courthouse this morning, parked and made my way to the entrance and my phone went off. I work in the IT field and there was an emergency with one of my servers. Long story short, I had to leave and didn't make it back. I was thinking about going to the afternoon session but I don't know that they allow you to do that? Anyways, looks like I will have to schedule it again during rebuttal or maybe later on this week since I didn't officially get my day off. Sorry folks! I was really looking forward to seeing the trial in person and getting some good insight on the goings-on.
