They heard it in the def opening statements. It's part of the def theory to put out that while Travis was picking on poor killer, he was banging her behind doors.

Wellll there's a problem with that, you can't on one hand make AL out a liar then want to turn around and use her for truth.

I found it on the JAI(GUILTY)I site. This was something I picked up on immediately at the end of Jodi's testimony. The shelves that Jodi claimed to step on in the closet to get the gun are resting steps. If she put her foot on the front, the front would lift up from the back, dropping everything from that shelf on the floor. In other words, there are 4 little pegs that the shelf is resting on top of that would NOT hold weight when stepped on. I almost spit my pepsi out when Juan said that. This could be very interesting and very incriminating for Jodi,
Sounds like the defense doesn't want JM showing that evidence to the jury. It is another piece of evidence that totally washes out JA's entire story of self defense and shows she made up the whole thing.

And then the jury went to lunch. So they have plenty of time for that to sink in without being distracted by the next question/argument/avoidance by LAV. Perfect.

I understand that, but JM could say, well didnt you say this.. well then shouldnt it hold true for this side? How can that be the case for JA but not TA? it doesnt necessarily have to speak to the truth of the matter, just that she is biased and not looking at the whole thing. Though I think that is pretty obvious any way. It would show the jurors that if they are following her theory of why JA took part in some of these acts, then why cant they say the same for someone that ACTUALLY has proof of being scared of the other party.

I really hope that makes sense, but I fear that will not be the case :S

Even one LIE for a so called expert certainly goes for discredit in reasonable minds.

Welp, that didn't go good. So, I went down to the courthouse this morning, parked and made my way to the entrance and my phone went off. I work in the IT field and there was an emergency with one of my servers. Long story short, I had to leave and didn't make it back. I was thinking about going to the afternoon session but I don't know that they allow you to do that? Anyways, looks like I will have to schedule it again during rebuttal or maybe later on this week since I didn't officially get my day off. Sorry folks! I was really looking forward to seeing the trial in person and getting some good insight on the goings-on.

yes you can go for the afternon session only, as long as there is a seat you can enter any time there is a break

No wonder JM came out laughing today. Think about it, boohoo no shelves demos. And waiting in the wings is premeditation WALMART, the gas station and a computer cop. Brumbs I tell ya, he threw them crumbs. lmao

Good to know, I just wish things would go right for me just once! I WILL make it to this trial if it's the last thing I do. Anyways, I'm catching up with the thread, so ALV I take it was avoiding all the questions again? I can't believe that Juan brought up the staking but I guess since the defense admitted the stuff as evidence, it is fair game.

I wonder if the reason trial was delayed this morning because of the motion to exclude the crime scene shelf evidence?? Maybe that's why Jennifer was chewing on her lips and Jodi looked like she was going to cry..oh, and why Juan was smiling Dear Jodi, Jennifer, Nurmi, and Alyce

There were 62 people waiting to get in this am. I think Mondays are busy, especially when JM is asking the questions.

JM's tone is clearly different from yesterday and Lava's clearly is not. Could have been a strategy on his part that no matter his tone, this expert witness is defiant, evasive, combative and biased.
