No matter which side they are on, honest witnesses, who are giving honest testimony do NOT need to be evasive and combative. If you are being truthful and above board, there is really no reason to resist answering, or play games with the attorney who is questioning you.
This is not a pro-prosecution comment. It would apply equally to any witness being questioned by any attorney.

Yes! I so totally agree with you, Brillig!!! It's painful to watch. She is really off the rails with her attitude and behavior and she should be ashamed of herself.
