Just by looking at the information for 2011 as posted on this site, the organization had no revenue, no assets, and it seems defunct. Even a little cash in the bank would have to be listed as an asset. Probably some type of shell organization.

I just don't understand the rationale. She claims TA threatened to kill herafter he was shot, but according to her, TA was on floor. She could have escaped then. I am solely trying to figure out the motive for her saying she shot 1st. Could be as simple as she didn't want to have to explain the stabbing/slit throat (foggy). Does anybody have a theory as to why she is so strongly sticking to this story that leaves room for jury to discount self-defense? If he is on floor shot in the head when he threatened her, at that point she loses the self-defense argument. I am not giving any credence to her story, I am curious about the legal issues that motivated her version of events. It may be that she is just a moron.
I hate to try and think like her, but how does she get around the knife issue? Would TA have a knife in his closet? Where would she get it from to protect herself? She had to say she got the gun or the stabbing gore would have to be explained, which she's not going to do. That's my thought on that. If she said she used the gun first to just scare him, she comes off as a frightened little thing. If she said she stabbed him first, which was so brutal, not only would she have to explain the knife and then explain why she went and got a gun AFTER she chopped him up, she does not even remotely resemble someone who is frail or frightened.

Now, there is an alternative to this scenario....one that could explain Travis's inaction.

    And that scenario is.....sexual addiction.
I don't believe that one bit. What does he have to try when she moved 1000 miles away? A normal, rational person would think it's over and she'll stop her crap. The sex part....we do NOT KNOW what she said or did to seduce him that day. If he was so addicted, he wouldn't have encouraged her to move away.

If he was so addicted to sex he coulda gotten it anywhere. There are tons of woman out there that are into the freaky deaky. He didn't need Hodi for that.

They were still engaging though...even after the move. He still allowed her into his life, into his home.

The gun = premeditation. She never thought the state could link the stolen .25 to her. When it turned out they could it became "TA had a gun" even though her own journal writings/statements say otherwise.

For her self defense claim to work, which sounds more reasonable at first blush - shooting someone because you are in fear of your own life or stabbing them 28 times, slitting their throat and then shooting them in the head?

I am thinking that JA is saying the shot happened first because she was led to believe that is what was thought, by Det Flores??
Although he admitted he made a grave mistake when asked at an August 2009 hearing which potentially deadly wound was inflicted first and replied “gunshot.”

She claimed the knife must have been on the end table, I think, maybe ... by implication of the rope that never was. She had to make up the rope to have an excuse for a knife being upstairs. She knew she can't claim it was in the bathroom now because of her 'fog' too. Agree, gun shot first was to avoid all the slicing him up and claim 'fog'. She avoids anything that has to do with blood and butchering him up.

Except like I asked the other day .. did Flores tell her the blood went up the hall? How did she know there was blood up the hall to put it in her ninja story if she was in a fog, no memory and if Flores didn't blow it and tell her?

But Jodi really turned him on...she would give him all 3 holes." 3 Hole Wonder", he called her, remember? Their chemistry was electric. Not to mention, they were both Mormons and engaging in the forbidden. This turned up the heat. For some, there is nothing more exciting in life than doing things you are not supposed to do. It sounds to me like the highs and lows of addictive behavior.

Some people are just negative people, victim blamers and you will never change them no matter what. She could have took his head with her and .. it would still be 10,000 pages of how it was his fault

If I recall wasn't there a married Mormon woman that he had been talking dirty to. That would have been a perfect win win situation for him.. No strings, nobody would know cuz she wouldn't tell, what could have been better

Are you saying Travis was a stupid man? That he was incapable of making his own choices (proven evidence says : he called Jodi the following: " evil, a sociopath, the worst thing to ever happen in his life"). No way. He was smart. He knew what he was dealing with....but yet he kept letting HER....in.

Travis's murder was not his fault. How could you think anyone chooses to believe that ?

IMO- Saying what he could have, should have done is kinda like trying to put the cat back into the bag. It doesn't mean anything now. (Unless you're trying to teach men and women about stalking) However, each stalker is different. This case isn't about what he didn't do to take better care of himself. (And seriously, can anyone really say what happened between the two of them? None of us were there. It seems he was trying to tell people about his situation. Who knows how she got back into his house? We surely don't know.) The only question is; was he was murdered? Or was this self defense? Because at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

If Travis needed to learn a lesson in how to handle stalkers.... Well, I think he's learned it now.

He allowed her to butcher him? It does not matter how many times you repeat this trying to "get your point of view heard" it is wrong. He did not allow her to kill him. Period.

Isn't that exactly the point you keep trying to shove down everyone's throat over and over ad nauseum? That if he had just not "allowed her into his house" if he had cut off all contact and on and on and on and on. From everything we have read, heard and from his very actions (going to Cancun without her) he was trying to cut off contact with her. He had been to see his bishop if his friends who I find much more credible than Jodi can be believed, he had spoken to friends that this relationship was OVER and he sent a scathing email that his friend Aaron read and asked him are you sure you want to send that? Aren't you afraid she will do something?

He was not enough of an asshole I guess and told her to fuck off which maybe he should have done. YOU spend far too much time blaming the victim

I picked a great week to be away on vacation!! Sounds like I missed a lot of disgusting and infuriating "character assassination" of the REAL victim - Travis. While I had a great vacation, I am glad I got back in time for JM's bulk of cross-exam next week! I did watch the youtube video of his start with it. I am ready to hear the prosecution's rebuttal case. Bring it on!!!

I did read the updates while on vacay (especially while waiting in lines at Disneyland - thank you Berm!!!) and some news stories. Oh, and while going through the Snow White ride, each time I snickered to myself because I couldn't help thinking of LaVi and "poor snow white, she is SO abused!!!" ;)

Oooooo and, yes, I finally got an avatar image! After being at Disneyland and the talk of Snow White, I couldn't resist.

Glad to be back to the group, and here's to this trial making me look forward to Mondays for once!

Intelligence has nothing to do with being the victim of a manipulative psychopath. Again, Justdatruth's blog said:
The one trait that now stands out, is how manipulative she was. Her manipulation was so far out there, to this day I can't believe I fell for it. That's the problem with psychopaths, they are masters at manipulation in a way you never experience with normal people. But then again, they are so damn charming, you find yourself forgiving them for their manipulation because they are so irresistible

It's so fucking stupid. Like we should ..
Raise the Green River killer from the dead, those prostitutes were asking to be killed.
Raise Oswald too, JFK shouldn't have been riding in a convertible.
And shame on John Lennon, he should know not to go outside and sign autographs.
And of course, women in short skirts are begging to be raped.

Ted Bundy thinking! If they look scared, they're kind of asking for it!

The gun was never conclusively linked to her, and I get why she says TA had a gun. She will never cop to stealing it from Grandpa. She also knew in July 2008 that Flores knew about stolen gun from Grandpa. She stuck with intruder story for a couple of years, so she had time and access to evidence to concoct her story.

I don't think I clearly stated my question. The only scenario that could justify self-defense is shooting to stop him. However, she claims that he threatened her after he was shot and on the floor, hence the stabs and slit throat. Not my rationale, hers. My point is that she claims self-defense, but if he was shot 1st (according to Stabby), he was no longer a threat. She threw in his "fucking kill you bitch" after the shot apparently to justify the stabbing and slit throat. Her whole scenario of the chase and grabbing "his" gun is simply absurd given the time frame of the pictures. I understand your point about shooting a dead or dying man, but I just wonder how she thinks her story furthers her case of self-defense. If she was trying to create a story to avoid the heinous aspect of the murder, she loses the self-defense argument. The pictures and the timeline simply do not support her story, so there has to be a reason for her to want jury to believe gunshot came 1st. The DT fought to keep the killing as being heinous out, so my thinking is that her story is to avoid DP. Who the fuck knows? Just speculating and trying to figure out the angle of her version. Stabby always has an angle. I think the whole killing was premeditated, cruel, heinous, and full of rage. IMO she used the knife to inflict pain and suffering as well as to satisfy her own sick need to be savage. If I am not clear, please let me know and I will try to word this better. Lots of noise in background, hard to get this out right.
