Maybe.
I know if I were on that stand in a professional capacity, there is no fucking way I am going to let Martinez or any other attorney stand there and SCREAM at me during questioning. I'd have shot back a lot worse than what LaViolette did insinuating possibly a little short man syndrome causing that misdirected anger of his...or I'd end up being cited for contempt because I'd refuse to answer him until he ratcheted down the volume of that shit.
These are expert witnesses, well-credentialed and well-educated and well-paid.
I have no problem with him attacking the SOURCE of their conclusions, the liar known as Jodi Arias, but I have a big problem with him prattling on and on about that ridiculous Snow White fuckery when AL told him numerous times that was *not* the topic but rather a catchy title. It's like he gets himself so locked into some irrelevant trivial bullshit and will. not. back. down.
Like I said, that little man come out of gate screaming at me in that hostile tone, I'd either give as good as he gave or sit there mute and risk a cite for contempt of court but I wouldn't acknowledge him until he backed that shit off.
I'm hoping for the best in his rebuttal case and closing but right now I think he looks like an absolute ass up there, screaming at the witness about Snow White when she NUMEROUS times told him it was a catchy title, NOT the topic of the actual seminar or whatever fuckery it was.
I fail to see what he's hoping to gain by screaming at these witnesses in such a hostile manner (well, unless when it was JA on the stand, but he got the best shit out of JA when he talked in a normal, regulated tone of voice). Christ, Martinez, take a Xanax if you need to but chill the fuck out on some of these people.
For the record, I personally think AL is somewhat predispositioned to blame men in cases of abuse but I don't think trying to berate/humiliate/degrade her in front of that jury is going to accomplish much.
Much better strategy to attack the source of THIS case than to attack the witness.
BTW, I also can't help but wonder if Jodi didn't spend the 6 weeks before her arrest burning the midnight oil at the Grandparents' place carefully rewriting that 2008 journal to include a few little "extra" entries...and maybe even more than the 2008 one. I don't think she's doing in it jail...I think she did it laying the groundwork for her alibi, kind of like she was tailoring her stories to Flores to match the forensics. I think that's why she wanted them find those journals...she knew what she'd written in them.

I didn't even know that more threads were an option. Not that I particularly feel like making one, but its good to know that its available.
