Back before I found MDS, I was on the In Session threads on FB (Thank GOD I found you guys!) But there was a large group of people that wished they could leave flowers on Travis' grave. I live about 40 miles from the cemetery, so I volunteered (and paid for the flowers- I couldn't imagine trying to ask for money from complete strangers... it just felt weird) I schlepped my mom and daughter with me as I thought that I would have to find his headstone on my own, and it's a LARGE cemetery. The people there were so helpful! Gave me a map and it was a snap to find. I left two bouquets and a note from "us". (I was expecting to find lots of flowers there, but there was only one little plastic flower sticking up out of the ground.) Anyway, here it is.

I have to agree with you, Brillig. I, too, have seen some members who post here, and then go on other threads and trash this one. I came here BECAUSE of this thread, and I joined because of it. It's too bad, because I doubt I'll have much reason to be here, once this trial is over, either. There is a fabulous group of people on here, and a handful of assholes, for lack of a better word. This is a paying site, yet we are "closed down" and have "privileges" taken away until we can learn to be adults?? WTF?! How about weeding out the regular troublemakers, and warning them. Then, if they don't change and cool it, ban them out of the thread. Some people will simply NEVER play nicely, because they love the rush of causing shit. Just saying....

The biggest perk of course being that your name is in red -- totally worth it IMO.
The "circle jerk of hate" isn't even close to being unique in this thread, and I can't understand any MDSer dissing this thread because of it. That seems truly disingenuous (eg. any thread on this site that involves juggalos sets off a whirlwind shitstorm of hate).
People are hating this thread because of these reasons:
- hundreds of off-topic posts (like my own right now) every hour
- bickering and fighting over the karma system
- short meaningless posts that have no content other than a smilie
- members reporting posts just because they disagree
- utter lack of interest in any of the other threads or articles on MDS
- fringe loons who represent the very worst refugees from both JAII and the State Facebook page

I regret signing up, too. One of the "benefits" was being able to see who the reps were from. Well, that is no longer a benefit. And I don't see any others that interest me. It's very strange. The trial I served on went though every single alternate (we assign the alternates here) due to excusing FOUR jurors and it would be really odd and uncomfortable to see any one of them return to sit in the audience.

How could she possibly be promoting justice by parking her ass there and creating problems? She may have been pro-prosecution, who knows, but she is risking this whole trial by being an elephant in the room.

Thank you long time member Brian, for the above. The clich? is cyberspace can bring out the worst, people will speak in ways they never would in person.
The cost to join is really cheap, $12. cost of lunch or a couple fraps, with all the above perks.
Pretty sure the rep system will be back, I think we are on "time out" because of serial smiters. I am fine without it, too distracting. I just turn the other cheek rather than getting into it.
Pretty much everyone has something funny or enlightening to say here, I appreciate that. The fluff has really been kept to a minimum.
She may have trouble 'weaning' herself away. She may not even know how to watch it live if she has been following all the admonitions. But really she should stay away rather than draw attention. I had always heard she had tri colored hair, but did not picture her correctly at all.
