OMG I just read Stabby's diary entry for May 22, 2008. What a load of crap. In reading that, I'm convinced that on that day, she was beginning her "defense" and planning the murder.

Alyce reviewed summaries of interviews taken by other people. She never spoke to a single soul aside from Stabby.

Check out the bottom few sentences of Page 4. Didn't Stabby testify she couldn't make recordings on her "stolen" phone when JM asked her about it?

I really hope Juan keeps Lava here ALL day Monday. I hope he fires question after question at her relentlessly, until she figures out that basing her entire testimony on Stabby the Liar's word and teeny snippets of texts or emails was a huge mistake.

I just got banned from The State vs Jodi page. Is there some type of merit badge I earned?

I don't know, of course, but I tend to think the act of moving back to Yreka may have been part of her plan too. So she wouldn't be living anywhere near him at the time of the murder. She moved to Yreka in early April 2008. And in the sex tape, she mentioned she started running after moving back home - - perhaps she was trying to get strong for a specific purpose. Just a thought.

Yes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought she testified that her old phone couldn't record and that's why the recording was on the new phone. I find it odd that she made the point of saying that she never got to play them for Travis. Oh really? I think she meant she kilwould kill him before she could use them to extort him.

Best moment of the day: A defiant (and double-depended) Alyce, smirking and (watch THIS, JW and Nurmi....just like you coached me!! Watch! Are you watching??!) saying "Are you angry with me, sir?" to Juan. Then looking over for approval from the defense table, and waiting for her biscuit to be thrown at her, as her reward.

This is the exact thing I told my counselor when we met last week. As someone who has been through a year 7 relationship chock full of DV, has been truly diagnosed with PTSD and severe anxiety, it has me completely disgusted. Thus, my turning it off. Everything that comes out of LaToilet's mouth offends me, at this point...and makes me certain that TA was the victim of any DV and character assassination, not JA. I have had to step away from the trial while LaToilet has been on the stand...thank you all for the recaps and filling in the blanks =) I do start off trying to watch, I'll be honest, but like 10 minutes into it I need xanax or earplugs haha

This trial has captured the attention of the masses. I have never been obsessed with a trial before, but this one has twists, turns, and an unsympathetic, freaky Defendant. It calls out for attention, and even sleazy HLN created an entire (albeit shitty) show focused solely on elements of the JA trial. The visceral reaction to JA is only natural - we see a Psychopath/Sociopath who blatantly lies and put on a performance on the stand in her own defense for 18 days. The interest and curiousity is only natural for trialwatchers. I discovered MDS and for the most part have found humor, great recaps, ranges of knowledge, links to photos and videos, and most of all, people like myself. Yeah, it gets contentious and heated, but I thought forums were to express ideas. I have posted opinions and anecdotes pertaining to the trial and the players involved. Since it has really become a circus, more people are looking for information and come across MDS where they can find exceptional links, opinions similar to their own, and a place to vent their frustration without destroying their own personal relationships. It is human nature to be curious, and internet forums are a great place to find like-minded people who wish to express their opinions. I don't give a shit about reps and smites - didn't even know what they were and had to ask. Guess that's forbidden, but a member sent me a PM and very kindly explained. Simply because I am new does not mean I am an idiot. I love this site and it really serves a good purpose for this trial. What I don't get are the comments from long-standing members ridiculing comments made by newer members or this thread. I am not talking about the bickering that goes on occasionally, but the insults directed at us simply for being on this thread. There are other JA threads out there that are inferior to MDS. I am offended at this disrespect and will not complain to Moderators, but I am no longer considering paying to become a premium member. BTW, no derogatory comments were specific to me, but I am still offended since they were directed to a poster whose comments are enjoyable to me and also to all of us who post on this thread. I was under the impression that a thread was made for this trial and that all comments are acceptable except those that violate the general rules by MDS. Will end by saying to anyone who has an issue with me, take it up with me. If you don't like the comments in the thread, start another for yourself and those who believe they are superior to us. If I see a poster getting picked on unnecessarily, I will respond.

She's really looking forward to her interviews but she has to go home and speak to her "legal advisers"

Very good description of that scene. When I saw that part along with Alyce's feigned confusion at Juan's questions, my first thought was, "Oh sure you didn't watch Jodi testify, LaViolette!" It was obvious that our dear Battered-Women Expert was only too happy to go along with the defense's coaching (or even thought of it herself) to remind the jury of how discombobulated Juan had made Jodi and therefore any contradictions during Jodi's testimony were due strictly to Juan's manner of cross-examination, and not at all to deception of any kind on Jodi's part. I really, really dislike this woman.

Yep, he is way too aggressive but I don't think he can help himself or even wants to. He would be more effective if he showed a variety of approaches especially with this witness.

I don't know if this has been posted before or not, but I'm a volunteer photographer for findagrave and got a wild hair to search for him. Here's his burial info and a pic of his marker can be found on the other photographs page. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...&GRid=27612575

It shouldn't be hard to punch holes in Alyce's testimony. You don't have to yell and scream and go out of control to do it. Why let the witness jerk you around into talking about what she can remember and if your anger affects the answers? Not productive, just self-indulgent. Martinez is a massive queef. Sorry Katie. Massive queef.
Player or not, he did not deserve what happened to him. The DT puts it out there like, "Oh yeah, if a guy screws you, but doesn't want to marry you then sure, you can kill him. Makes me ill. And no worries, coconut, I know that you don't think Travis deserved what happened. =)

I just choked on my sip of diet pepsi over the queef comment. You make me lmao and it is totally appreciated!

I believe JM would get more out of Alyce if he took a gentler turn. Saved his pit bulling for cross on the actual lies Jodi told about the day of the murder itself.

Thanks for sharing this. It actually looks like there are 2 Findagrave memorials for Travis (the other is at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...GRid=104096364). Hopefully someone over there can get it straightened out.
