I saw it. Those poor parents. That son is a beast. He killed his sister and was going to kill them, yet they visit him whenever they can. It was heart wrenching.

If that's true, why wouldn't that ill-gotten defense team have parlayed that experience into some psychobabble about Jodi's alleged PTSD stemming from *THAT* incident and that's why she went full-on batshit on Travis in the bathroom that day?

Hell, why not call someone who actually knows and is related to her to try to make sense of all this fuckery? Or at least confirm the allegations of parental abuse.

The only conclusion I can come up with is that they're all some degree of batshit in the Arias family and Martinez would annihilate them on cross so the risks outweigh the benefits of having them take the stand.
I'm sure they'll have something to say prior to sentencing, but no way is anyone in the Arias family going to get up on the stand and face Martinez. LaVa is like a proxy for all these people, to say what they are unwilling to get up on the stand and perjur themselves about. She's all too willing though; and with the way the judge is letting all of this go, she faces no legal repercussions.

I agree. Despite being interested in how things are going "behind the scenes" I'm glad that Juror 5 is not talking.

There's a movie coming on in 20 minutes on Showtime West if you have it. It's called "Tabloid". It's a true story about a woman who kidnaps a Mormon missionary. Try to catch it if you can.

Back again, got reading caught up. I seriously am holding my breath that LV returns today. I think nerves are getting the best of her despite the fact she's trying to not let it show. This can lead into physical symptoms, some of which she used to have under control.
I'm wondering if she is now not so stoic in her beliefs about Jodi. She can see Jodi sitting there writing merrily away and not showing any emotions, sees her glancing at the jury, then writing again. Seeing Jodi in court is not like the 1 on 1 interviews she had with her while Jodi told her stories so convincingly. LV can't pull out now, she must go on I would think.

Don't know if you guys found this years ago, but in light of the full police interview being available I thought it interesting.

I'm singing the National Anthem in front of 300 people on Saturday night! It made me think of you.

She's just really ugly. Her getting sick was fake as fuck. Will be glorious when Martinez sings his fangs into her slipping flesh on cross.

As much as I like watching them, it is sad that as we watch them, someone's father, mother, son, daughter or whatever died and they have to relive it, just like the Alexander family.
The Martin/Zimmerman trial is set for June 10 here in Orlando. Other than it being filled with racial accusations, I don't think it will be too exciting. For those not familiar with this case, a man of Spanish origin shot a 17 y.o. black youth, that to the shooter, looked suspicious and a fight ensued. Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton and other high profile black supporters got in on the crusade to say it was racial and how it was Zimmerman's fault.

    It shows.

I know exactly how that works. The surprising thing is how well it worked for me. I secretly give credit to divine intervention. The relief came with a gift. Unbounded reverence for the value of human life and its inherent dignity--and the ability and opportunity to share it.

New journal entry to make your skin literally crawl. And they say no pre-meditation? Dated 2007

I saw this on FB earlier this morning. If the defense can use the journals as evidence can the prosecution use this particular entry as evidence for their case?

For example: Alyce said this yesterday about a diary post: Jan 22, 2008- Jodi comes back. She can't loan him anymore money. He throws her to the floor. Then he kicks her, then kicks her a second time and breaks her finger. Travis leaves the room. Jodi wondered if Travis was getting a weapon, But Travis comes back and splints Jodi's finger.

But yet the text message on Jan 22, 2008-
    1-22-08
Jodi: Did u make the deposit?
    Travis: yes
Jodi: Thank you! I'll make it up to u soon.
Jodi: I'm gonna need a ride! I'm off at 4pm. Txt me.
Jodi: Scratch that. The're keeping me her til 5pm! (can you pick me up then? The lunch offer from my vmail still stands.
    Travis: Sure.
Jodi: I'm almost off. Yea! Are u eating? If so, just sit at the counter.

See what I mean? Her text message proves her diary is lying. Personally, I think all the diary evidence is crap, and I think it should never have been allowed. Plus, it's stupid. Jodi writes in her diary, like she talked on the stand. Endless babble...
I'm totally on board with you on this. I wondered if she faked up entries in her diary prior to murdering Travis?

Wasn't it interesting how her mother's statements to police spoke to Jodi's making up lies about how awful her childhood was? That she accused Mom & Dad of searching her room all the time, when in reality they only did it one time -- and found she was growing pot.

I question every single word that comes out of Jodi's piehole -- if there's no independent corroborating testimony, she's lying.

Q: How can you tell when Jodi's lying?
A: When her diary is open.

Maybe he will bring it up in rebuttal? It literally made me sick to my stomach reading it. You can picture her thinking of Travis as she was writing it. Waaay before she actually really did kill him. She is a crazy woman. I am terrified of her more and more each day.

Excellent point and I caught that.

If only the jury could hear that her mother immediately asks Jodi if she had anything to do with his death when she heard the news. Her own mother!!!

Reading around the web (via Google search), Jodi apparently dated Jon Dixon, on the same day that she had a date with Abe.

Berm recapped the testimony about Jo(h)n here. http://mydeathspace.com/vb/showthrea...=1#post3308885

There's also a claim, here: http://callsforjustice.wordpress.com...-twenty-seven/ -- by Jodi that she ripped out diary pages relating to John Dixon because Travis would allegedly have read them and gotten pissed.

Doubt Travis would've gotten pissed since he was dating others and telling her to do the same, but, I think it goes to show that there was at least something going on with John Dixon and Jodi, that she claims she wrote about it in her diary and then ripped the pages out.

    welcome
For the record - She didn't say there weren't any, she actually told her mother she 'had gas receipts to prove it' [she was in Utah ]

Why can't the prosecution use this video as evidence to her character? If they can use only her word about Travis's character etc. why can the prosecution use actual proof? I just don't understand?

The Journals - JA was always smuggling pens into jail. Wonder why.

Could she have been spending the years in jail fabricating entirely new journals? Were the "original" journals seized when she was arrested?
