Drew seems lately to get the good stuff more quickly, but I believe Nancy would sacrifice her first-born twin to score the Juror #5 interview.

Any guesses on who lands the Juror #5 interview?
My guess is she will be on all 3 shows like 50 times each-she will also write a book... That's my psychic prediction.

I don't understand your point. You keep rehashing this, and going on and on and on and on about it. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I do not understand the purpose of what you're saying. People who try to keep stalkers away are still sometimes killed by them. People who try to reason with stalkers are killed by them.

I respect that you have an opinion on this case, but your logic is completely lacking. You haven't spoken to Travis. You didn't ask him what he tried to do, or how concerned he was about her being a stalker. Jesus, for all we know, after the tire slashing incident, he talked to Jodi, and she apologized, or she simply said it wasn't her, and he let it go. You don't know their private conversations, what they said to each other in person or over the phone.

Jodi is an excellent liar. Remember, ALV was just talking about how abusers will often reassure their victims? Whenever Jodi acted out, perhaps she would always say, "Baby, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. I just get a little crazy. I promise I'll try harder", and like many abuse victims, Travis relented.

So besides trying to pin the blame on Travis by saying he should have done something differently, what are you trying to imply with his "he did nothing (that you know of) to stop his stalker"? Don't repeat the same line about "It's the truth and you can't deny it"....I'm not asking that. I want to know what your point is -- besides blaming Travis.
i agree with this post, especially the bolded. Jodi is a great manipulator, and i can see her saying those exact words

It actually isn't all that unusual. Honestly, it doesn't surprise me. My roommate has a stalker and she will show up out of the blue with some real crazy nutty crap. He has nothing to do with her any more but it makes no difference. She used to come through my back gate and if he forgot to lock his sliding door to his room she would walk right in to his room when he was sleeping and start doing naughty things... this from a person he had not seen in days or weeks.

I seem to recall hearing that this was discussed. Obviously none of the psychologists who interviewed her were willing to go on the stand and say she didn't know right from wrong...

The fact that Alyce supposedly reviewed ALL of the info and somehow skipped over this tape of Stabby's Mom and disregarded it completely and is sitting up on that witness stand spinning lies with/for Stabby is making me very very angry

The problem with that is that she does not meet the legal definition of insanity, so she would have lost.

The course the defense has taken was really the only one available.

I hadn't heard that.... but somehow they found "experts" to say (or at least imply) it was a justified homicide. Hopefully justice will prevail, as charged.

Yes, that is the legal definition of insanity for insanity defense purposes... "the defendant is unable to distinguish right from wrong".

Jodi does not meet that standard. She made efforts to cover her tracks and clean up the crime scene. If she was unaware what she had done was wrong, she would not have tried to cover it up. So an insanity defense was not an option.

Stabby is mentally ill, imo. I think she is a sociopath, or at the very least has narcissistic personality disorder. But merely being mentally ill does not mean they can plead insanity.

Ok. Jodi's dad seems - I don't know - aloof? She told Det. Flores it was strange that Jodi murdered travis because it seemed like they had been getting along

Whoa.....................Dad said she's been abusive to mom for 1 1/2 years, sweet one day, abusive the next. He connected the gun, I think.

I get that everyone deserves a defense... I just don't know how they sleep at night.

Agreed....Jodi and so many others who blatantly lie and blame their victims or their parents etc. when the evidence clearly points to them. The defense knows this.... How is this legal ? I have never understood. Big hole in our supposed "justice" system in this way.

kinda seemed like he doesn't really like her at all - weird, you would think her dad would be more upset

ALV's voice was disturbing me today on the stand! She has a soft dulcet tone, and is very aware of how to inflect in public speaking! What was not so worrying was the constant "stay on track" reminders from Willmott!

I have no doubt she is aware of the facts of Domestic Violence, but she is LESS aware of the Jodi facts and it shows!

She continued, “Jodi has mental problems. Jodi would freak out all the time. I had quite a few of her friends call me and tell me that I needed to get her some help. One called me in the middle of the night and told me that she needed help.”

With all due respect, I don't get why you keep beating this dead horse. No one will ever know why Travis made the choices he did.....he is not here for any of us to question. As they say in town meetings....I make a motion to moooooooove this "did Travis invite his ultimate fate?" along. Second? Do I hear a second?? Please??!!

Along with all the mounds of evidence, which we are able to see, but the jury who decides her fate cannot because it's "prejudicial".

thanks Brillig and MadameX... I see what you're saying. Still, self-defense seems as ridiculous as anything else given the evidence... on a side note Nurmi almost seems to have lost his conviction in the defense theory... he sits, turned away from JA and shows no sign of engagement, IMO.

She would have been better off if she would just have told the truth. All the money we taxpayers are shelling out for this cretan. She is insane...but in a logical way if that makes sense... She was able to live among good people in plain sight. The worst kind of insanity.
