I thought the same thing too, about the pictures being taken without his knowledge, until it was pointed out that all these pictures were taken with the shower door open. They are shitty pictures and his poses are not Calvin Klein worthy. That leaves me with the opinion that he thought she left and he went to shower. She shows back up with the gun and forces him to pose at gunpoint. She may have been threatening him or making threats to kill herself. He's playing along with her, trying to keep her calm and hoping she will come to her senses and put the gun away. She makes him sit in the shower at gunpoint. She attempts to shoot him and doesn't have a bullet loaded into the chamber, so the gun doesn't go off. She then switches to plan B with the knife. After she drags him back to the shower, she points the gun at him and pulls the trigger and now the gun fires.



I think she had been obsessing about vengeance for several weeks. Her anger and bitterness had been building. She had been watching spooky music videos by Dido and Alanis Morissette. That 2nd Dido video is disturbing, especially the part where the man's spirit gets exhaled and absorbed by the singer and he turns into her. I just feel like she was having magical thinking about owning his soul. She was an obsessive stalker.

I wonder if Dr Dick gave any consideration to obsessive stalker? If he read all the reports like he said, he would have seen several references to people calling her stalker. Do muderous stalkers suffer ptsd?

Agree re: Vengeance: Yes, had to be part of her plan. If only because CANCUN is mentioned in THEIR BOOK, "1000 Places To Go Before You Die". This was the last straw for her. This was THEIR thing, THEIR Romance. It appears to me from all evidence in the public eye that Jodi was indeed a stalker, obsessed to the point of "If I can't have him no one will." mentality. She showed up unannounced, slid thru doggy doors, slept under his Christmas tree, invited herself on vacations.etc. Why didn't anyone say NO to her? Also, the issue here, is that Travis DID allow all this..... He allowed this stalking behavior. Why? My feeling is that he became sexually addicted to her. Used her. She wanted to marry him. He did not want to marry her. Had he stopped having sex with her and realized the extremity of her obsession, he might still be alive today. He didn't, wouldn't or couldn't. This coupling of these 2 people reeks of addictive behavior, period.

RE: Killing: I believe she came to Arizona with a mission. If Travis changed his mind and took her to Cancun, he would live. If he refused, he would die. She was prepared for either outcome which equals premeditated murder, no matter what. She purposefully got him naked, in the shower. He was a big man. This was the only way to overcome him.

The shitty photos are her nerves in play. She knows what she is about to do....what she HAS to do...to make Travis hers....forever. That last clear headshot photo before her rage takes hold is GOODBYE.

Sorry if this been expressed by someone else, but my personal speculation/theory is that perhaps Jodi revealed to him that she had recorded their sexy time phone call and was taunting him with the threat of playing it (either for the bishop, Mimi, or the entire Mormon congregation). This would certainly explain the level of deception, hurt and betrayal ('scammed') that he expressed in those text messages. I personally don't think Travis knew anything about her recording at the time she did it; however, I do suspect she let him in on her little secret after the fact. I'm also of the opinion that those infamous shower pics were done totally stealth/creeper style. I'm under the impression that he thought Jodi had left, went upstairs to take his shower, and didn't realize she had returned until the flash went off and he looked directly at the camera in the full-face shot. Those are THE shittiest "posed" pictures I've ever seen, and look more to me like a dude just taking a shower. I think she had the same scheme with the pictures as she did with the phone call; to hold them over his head and use them as a blackmail tool to keep him "in line."

I could be way off on this, and I'm fairly certain no one will ever know, except Jodi herself.

I strongly suspect Jodi is going to take the details of what REALLY happened that fateful day to her own grave, regardless of the verdict. I think she enjoys having those last memories of Travis all to herself and secondarily feels he'll be hers forever.

He means right before the Hoover Damn checkpoint. That's where Jodi said she stopped and threw the gun.. and went to the trunk and got water to wash up... and got shoes & socks... (I think where she found her cellphone charger too). Yup she came to an amazing extrication from the fog right before there was going to be eyes to see. She says that she didn't know about the checkpoint at the time tho.

Well, according to Doc, Jodi was still "in the fog" all throughout her visit with Ryan Burns. He tried to use that to explain why she was crawling all over another man mere hours after she murdered Travis.

Funny thing is, at one point in her testimony, Jodi said that she consciously chose to act that way, because the trip was planned and Ryan apparently expected her to jump in his lap and "adjust him", and so she just HAD to, because otherwise people would be suspicious.

She's a sociopath. They have no feelings and if they do after a horrific act, they ARE able to function on autopilot. They want what they want. Jodi got what she wanted. No one will ever have Travis but her. No one.

I live in Southern CA too...I am aware that the slightest bit of weather on the road really throws the sane and insane for a loop. The fact that Arias butchered her ex-boyfriend because she didn't get what she wanted from him, does not mean she was exempt from PTSD. Arias was/is no Ted Bundy. I do believe she could have experienced PTSD from the act of killing him. However, I do not buy the memory loss. No way.

There was no way Travis would or could take Jodi to Cancun.The Hughes were going on the trip.They had already banned her from their house.If Travis showed up on the trip with Jodi ,Chris Hughes would have been like WTF? I think she cleaned up at Travis' house. There may have been blood on her hands from loading her bloody items into her car. But I even doubt that. There's no gun in the desert. Everything she had was probably bundled away in a trash bag before she left his house. I think the whole stopping and throwing the gun story is hogwash. Just like the rest of her story. This case is about life and death. Nothing to joke about no matter how much one hates the murderer. I cannot stand Arias... She is guilty beyond any case I have ever seen. However, she is a human being. I would rather study her than kill her.

Funny thing is I worked in L&D so I have seen lots of blood and gross stuff. But the blood from someone I love and who was crying hysterically really got to me physically.

Not happening. There is no way, no how a reasonable person could even begin to consider Travis kept a gun. She'd would have needed to take the alleged holster, extra bullets, and other crap he supposedly owned in order to leave no trace of the gun -- who the fuck stages self-defense to look like first degree capital murder?

It's not remotely believable the gun came from anywhere except Jodi's purse, and that she obtained it less than a week before murdering him. Premeditation is a slam dunk.

I like a good joke and sarcasm. However, I can't imagine the pain of his friends and family. Studying her would be interesting. Too bad that she will never share what really goes on in that head of hers. Waterboarding could be justified. It's just so lame to claim amnesia and not have to answer for her actions.
