Just because a crime scene is disorganized does not make it not premeditated. I think she intended to keep it in the shower but he got out and fought. It got messy. She tried to clean up but she knew she had to get out of there.

That is absolutely right mama, I doubt they will be smiling and smirking then.

I know, it's such a strange combo of this dark, horrible, gruesome murder juxtaposed with the pure entertainment and comedic side of it, plus the baffling evilness that is Jodi. It's like nothing else I've ever seen. I feel guilty for laughing but really, how can you help it?

She was about to be "outed" with all of her crazy, stalking ways! Listen to the part where Willmott is using those messages, as evidence, while questioning Doc Dick about the mean and negative things that Travis said about Jodi in those messages. (Now, unless you are a total bonehead, there is no way to misinterpret those messages from Travis as anything other than what they are "Jodi, get out of my life.") Then, she reminds him of the "positive" things that Jodi wrote in her journal. She asks him "And, why did she do that? Just write positive things?" Doc Dick replies "Well....she loved him. She respected him. She thought things would change, and they could have a life, together. She did that to please Travis."
Nothing screams STALKER, more loudly than this testimony. Wow. Today's testimony did some major damage to the defense. I hope that JM points this crap out, in closing!!
Sorry for posting again so quickly tonight, guys.

I wondered when the defense put up the texts why they were reminding people that Travis was calling Jodi a liar. This is not really a good thing to remind the jury of. Especially if you read through the text and see that Travis was obviously hurt and angry, and (I think) somewhat bewildered by her behavior.

He's not being nice, but it seems like he may have had a reason or two to be angry.

I'm also curious to know if anyone knows what the picture of Jodi was that Travis was commenting on. The one where she supposedly looked like a whore?

And one more thought for the evening: Does anyone else think that Travis may have had a bit of a "white knight" syndrome when it came to Jodi? Like she came off to him as needy and lonely, with a sad history, and he wanted to try to make things better for her? And that's why he kept allowing her into his life? Obviously, I think the sex was a huge part of why he kept her around, but I can't help but wonder if, because of how crappy his home life had been, he didn't open his heart and home to Jodi so much because he truly wanted to help her?

    Dear Diary,

First off...I wonder if the juror notices how small and weak and innocent I look sitting in a chair that is lowered a good 5 inches. I bet they are completely fooled by it. People are so dumb. I keep trying to think of other things I can do that will gain me more sympathy with the jury. My best idea involves pretending that I am pregnant. I mean think about it...no jury is going to sentence a baby to death row. So, I will just pretend to be pregnant and after they jury acquits me I will pull out a big wad of toilet paper that is supposed to be my baby and say, "gotcha, suckers!" It would be so hilarious. Nurmi and Jennifer are not on board yet, but if Doctor Dildo keeps screwing up like he did today, they may change their mind.

Speaking of Doctor Dildo...I cannot believe he is actually trying to get anyone to believe that I ever had low self esteem. We all know everyone has seen my rocking body...ALL of my rocking body. No one would believe that someone who has unique features like I have could possibly have low self esteem. Puh-leeze. I also get a little pissed when he says I am not assertive. Hmmm, maybe I will just flip you off! How do you like that? Is that 'assertive' enough for you?

Speaking of people I want dead...I wish every single person on Travis' side of the court room would be swallowed in a big crater the size of my booty hole! I can't stand them sitting over acting all sad and trying to steal attention away from me. And seriously, what is up with those ribbons they keep wearing? I cannot believe they are trying to make this trial about Travis. Shame on them. I complained and they had to remove most of them. I guess his family is still wearing them. I'll just keep complaining until I get my way. We will see who is 'assertive' then.

Nurmi and Jennifer are lucky they have me for a client. I am really teaching them a lot about trials and about the law. I am constantly taking notes. I am so helpful. I always share my valuable insight with them. I know they are thanking their lucky stars they have such a brilliant client.

Oh, did I mention the connection I have with one of the jurors. It is freaking amazing. We are connecting in ways I never even knew were possible. I guess you could call it 'telepathic sex'. The things we do together would make even me blush if I had to repeat them. I just know this juror is on my side. I'm sure many others are too. But, if nothing else, I have my 'one', and that is all that matters. So, suck on that Fartinez!

If I find out who the smart ass is on the jury, I will kill them. No, really. I will absolutely commit murder again. Asking if someone can get global transient amnesia because of a 'bad haircut'??? I just know that question was referring to my bangs. Oh, how I HATE these bangs. I cannot believe I let Jennifer convince me that getting bangs like hers would be a good idea. I mean, seriously!! Have you seen her hair? I actually took advice from someone who has hair that looks like that? What was I thinking? If there is one thing I regret in my life it has got to be the bangs. I can live with and be proud of everything else I have ever done, but not this hair cut. I felt humiliated when the juror asked that question. No worry. I will get my revenge someday.

Well, I feel like I have been a tiny bit negative in this diary entry. That makes me sad face. I will try to think of something positive to write, in keeping with the Law of Attraction. Oh! My boobs looked so good today! I could feel all eyes in the courtroom on them today! I just love my boobs. Best $300 I ever spent! Another positive thing is that I was wearing my second favorite color today: red! It is such a fun and vibrant and lively color. It reminds me of some of the most memorable times in my life. It's basically a very happy color for me. My first favorite color is brown. For obvious reasons.

Well, I better go now. I can't wait to tell all the girls about everything that happened in court today. They just love hearing me talk. I love hearing me talk!! I can't help it. My voice is just so lovely.

    Till next time,
    Jodi

I think you hit the nail on the head. This was a very dysfunctional and toxic relationship, that neither of them seemed to be able to break away from. It is sad.....he didn't deserve this ending.

Hey guys n girls, I hate to say it, but this trial is going another 3 weeks. Monday will be continuation of Martinez, then more jury questions. Then Wilmott will get another crack at Doc. After that, the "abuse expert" Alyce LaViolette. You know that is taking up Wed & Thurs, at least, especially since Thursday is a half-day.

We'll be lucky if we get to the prosecution's rebuttal by the following Tuesday (the 2nd of April). I'm sure that (with cross and juror questions) is going to take 2 weeks, if not longer. We'll be lucky to see an end to this case before April is out, imo.
Oh, absolutely. With all the short weeks, short days, long approaches, late starts, etc, I think this case might not be done until early May. Hopefully I'm wrong. But, I absolutely see it going three more weeks.

I agree. Unfortunately AT LEAST three more weeks. I feel horrible for his family who are determined (and rightfully so) to be there through the whole trial. They are really struggling financially as well as emotionally. I hope for them its over sooner than 3 weeks so they can go back home and get back to some semblance of normal.

I believe she totally intended to kill him, but I am thinking that she was attempting to be clever by using a weapon from his own home. A final "fuck you" to him as she's killing him with his own knife, perhaps?
I do think it is "possible" that she used a knife from Travis' kitchen. She could have put it in her backpack or purse at any point during the day (whether that was 10 minutes before the attack or hours before).

However, I think it is more likely that she brought a knife with her, either a hunting/Bowie type knife with a crossguard between the blade and handle, or a knuckle knife with finger holes in the handle. I think a hunting/Bowie knife is most likely, since they are easy to obtain.

The reason I think this is because I find it unlikely that she could have stabbed Travis 28 times and slit his throat that deeply using a kitchen knife without her hand ever slipping off the blade and cutting her own hand. Especially once the knife was slicked up with blood (which it clearly had to be at some point). Yet all Stabby had were a couple very tiny cuts on one hand that were coverable by a regular bandaid. I don't think this would be possible unless there was something to prevent her hand from slipping off the handle and onto the blade while she was stabbing.

Kitchen knives, even big ones, are not designed for stabbing.

This IS the best site ever, even the squabbles are intelligent.
Every time I see Travis's family my heart goes out to them and I hope they can receive the answers they want. When (not if) Jodi is convicted of premeditated murder is there a possibility before the penalty phase a deal could be made. I'm thinking Jodi could tell the true story in exchange for lwop. Either way she goes out in a casket.

Good points! I don't know much about knives.....for some reason, they have always scared me to death. But I have often wondered how she managed to do so much damage without getting more than a couple of shallow cuts on her hands. It would make sense, if she used a type of knife like you mention. I have also thought that she must have been wielding one heck of a weapon, because he was a young and healthy man, yet he could not overtake her. It gives me chills to think of what actually happened, there.

I know Stabby's excuse for having a 9mm gun was to protect herself from gold-mining psycho rapists, but what was her excuse for the knives?

Every time I see Travis's family my heart goes out to them and I hope they can receive the answers they want. When (not if) Jodi is convicted of premeditated murder is there a possibility before the penalty phase a deal could be made. I'm thinking Jodi could tell the true story in exchange for lwop. Either way she goes out in a casket.
Welcome, Sweet Pea! And I share your feelings. Jodi could have entered a plea of guilty as charged, and she would have been spared the DP. But she chose to try and blame the victim, in order to save her own skin. Thanks for sharing!!

[QUOTING CRICKET:*know, it's such a strange combo of this dark, horrible, gruesome murder juxtaposed with the pure entertainment and comedic side of it, plus the baffling evilness that is Jodi. It's like nothing else I've ever seen. I feel guilty for laughing but really, how can you help it?]

I think the other thing that draws us in to these trials is trying to rationalize the fact that one human can do this to another. And then there is the aspect of looking at something so menacing and scary head-on. It kinda reminds me of the exhibit by the artist Damien Hirst called The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living. One of the pieces was this huge tiger shark in a clear glass case with it mouth opened as if it were going to eat you. It was death up close and personal but without the risk. Such is the case of our interest here. We can be horrified, shocked, and appalled by this crime. We can look death right in her silly face and to an extent laugh at her, but at a safe distance.

She was returning some things to Darryl, or Matt, or Vic or every guy she ever screwed ... she's already implanted this for her lie she was setting up to cover that.
