Yes! I don't always agree with this young gal, but she's not a biased giggly groupie type like the other juror Drew puts on sitting next to her. I'm very impressed with this young high schooler. She's more level headed than Drew.

Martinez often asks the witness to repeat his/her answer. I've been thinking for a while now he is hard of hearing. This might explain why he shouts. Did anyone else notice this?

At the time, I didn't think much of it, except the impression stuck he did not identify this 'drunk girl' as a good or close friend.
It seems possible that if Travis disliked drinking, perhaps his version of "drunk" started much earlier than a regular persons? When we strongly dislike something, we notice it more easily and readily.

I saw her on NG last night, do we know if it's the same woman from the story Jodi told in court, or is she a different one?

First she must be convicted of murder 1, then they hold a trial to decide the penalty. Most of the evidence towards premeditation is circumstantial. Not that circumstantial evidence won't convict her, but it must be beyond a reasonable doubt. Is everyone convinced beyond a reasonable doubt yet? I'm still hanging on the fence.

Good morning, everyone! I went back into the testimony to get Jodi's family info. It's the first day she takes the stand at about 1:35
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ2MB...B69EB&index=46

Jodi was born in 1980, eldest child of Bill and Sandy Arias. She has a step-sister by her father who is 5 years older than her, unnamed. Brother Carl is 2 years younger, Angela is 11 years younger, and Joey is 13 years younger.

I wasn't paying attention to the Doc Dick - Wilmutt blah-blah so I don't know what brother people were talking about.
Most interesting part of the day was hearing that Doc Dick rolled his briefcase through the vomit, IMO to get out of there quick. I'll be surprised if he shows up today to answer jury questions.

Why was there so much talk about the messed up PSD test and not he first test he gave her?

I believe we will get a strong indication from their questions today whether any of them are harboring any reasonable doubt thoughts.

Has anybody compiled a video that shows all the discrepancies in JA's testimony? Or even Doc Dick? Would be interesting to watch

This is troubling -- makes me think the jury regards Dr. DogAteMyHomework as an expert?

Q: So Doctor, how many cases of PTSD have you diagnosed?
    A: 15.
Q: And after which of those 15 cases did you become an expert? The 4th? The 9th?
A: Uhhhh.... I'm not sure. I left those notes in my office.
Q: Mmmhmm. Doctor, why is it that you used the incorrect diagnostic test for PTSD on Ms. Arias?
A: Well, she failed the first ones so I kept testing her until I got a positive.
Q: And you did this because.....
A: $250 an hour. I needed to make my fee.
Q: Dr. DogAteMyHomework, what other gifts did you purchase for Ms. Arias?
A: A buttplug, a camisole, a wireless camera to send me photos, and 2 dozen roses.
Q: Mmmhmm. Dr. ButtPlug, when was the last time you had sex? Not paid for, or self-pleasuring, but normal sex with a woman.
    A: 1947.
    Q: No further questions.

Too bad she made it so her own words can't be believed. I think we have and will continue to see a lot of this type of thing from people misrepresenting truths even on Travis side. Everyone claims already to be his "best friend". Yet a guy with so many claiming they were so tight with him, didn't bother missing him for almost a week while he's laying dead. it was only Mimi who grew concerned enough to get off her ass and check on him.

Yike, that assertive sale was really stupid! The DT and us know the jury narrowed right in on her last 'asserstive' gazillion mile drive to confront innocent Bianca!

well, I don't vision Travis as too dumb to know the difference between drunk or not. And the NG version even had him 'helping her to her chair'. If you need help to walk, I'd say that is drunk.

HLN is too busy building sets that aren't anything like the crime scene. They are the masters of the court videos, you'd think they would at least put together a flash of all her versions of how she shot him

    V1 I wasn't there
    V2 Ninjas shot him
V3 I was there - ran out the closet as he was running in the other door (story version on direct)
V4 He was coming through the door as I was grabbing the gun (changed version on cross)
V5 Told the quack, he grabbed my sweater while I was going for the gun

I find your comment about Travis' friends offensive. Everyone claims that Travis was a terrific guy and they loved him, not hang together everyday BFF's. The Hughes' were in Cancun and were getting worried they couldn't reach him. I believe other friends were also in Cancun, I heard 100 people won the free trip. Mimi went looking because she was supposed to be going with him.

Okay, I've been thinking about this...a LOT...still trying to understand how she could have done this, and why. One thing I've wondered about many times is why she never asked for an attorney while being interviewed by Flores, not even after she was informed she was being charged with murder, or the next day during the 2nd interview. She knew she could ask for one at any time. The only reason I could think of was she thought she didn't need no stinkin' lawyer, she could talk her own way out of this! This is not the thought process of a rational person, this is GRANDIOSE THINKING, one of the hallmarks of mania. Could she be bipolar?

It would explain the bizarre behavior on the newly released interview tapes, the rapid speaking, the restlessness/constantly moving around. Lookin back I think she might have started spiraling into a manic state when she wrote that long rambling email to the girl Travis was dating where she rants about 'whoredom' etc. To me this is classic manic behavior too.

What do you all think? Any of our mental health professionals care to weigh in?

OMG, went back before that part. I swear if you look up AIRHEAD, it lists J Willmott

Mutt: huh, you mean you want me to lead him, would that be easier?"

How the hell did she pass the bar exam? She doesn't even know how to ask a question or the most standard Rule of Procedure! She should have gave more attention to studying LAW instead of which color highlighter is cute for the day.

Dr Dick might actually have been able to do the defense some good IF he had just testified as to the PTSD and his belief Stabby had it and left it at that. But he seemed to feel the need to defend every "slight" against Stabby, no matter what it pertained to (showing he had zero objectivity). Also, his testimony mirrored Stabby's own version of the facts and important points of the case SO exactly, that is just drained away whatever small amount of credibility he might have had. The defense should have managed this witness better if they wanted a positive outcome.
