IMO she is still trying to find any way she can to get a hint across that there was no premeditation. She is not allowed to bring up anything about premeditation but if Doc Dick lets the right words slip out before Juan can object then the jury has heard it. They will be instructed to disregard the comments but it still will have been heard. JMHO please don't anyone hate for it.

He is out of his league with this case. Murder is vastly different from medical malpractice and sexual offenders. Totally in over his head. He has very good credentials, in fact they are impressive. I'm betting he has never ever met the likes of JM, never ever not ever. Most likely he can skate on his credentials and knows the literature back and forth with the areas he is comfortable with, but malingering, deception and murder are not his area. In the crimes and criminals he typically deals with there are victims he can interview, so he doesn't have to determine lies. I know this will get me in hot water with the MDS community, but I feel sorry for him. I'm betting he will never do another case like this again.




I am not surprised that she is taking something. Her blunted affect and lack of any anxiety is indicative of someone taking something. JMHO.

I, honestly, think this is indicative of the fact that the defense had a tough time finding anyone to legitimately testify on Jodi's behalf. So they picked this guy, in hopes that he could write a report that would favor her. Problem was, they forgot that his testimony would be cross examined....by Juan Martinez, no less. They were fools to try and pull this one over on the jury. As to her blunted affect, I totally agree. I noticed it yesterday, and it's continued throughout today's testimony. She looks "out of it".....slow to respond to what is around her. Half-asleep, compared to her demeanor on prior days. To me, she looks defeated....but medication would definitely make sense. Of course, I'm not sure that it's a good idea, seeing as how they would WANT the jury to see how shaky and traumatized she is.

All of Doc Dicks interviews w/ JA were conducted behind a barrier & a heavy screen between them, so it would have been impossible for JA to have seen what Doc Dick was writing. <--- This contradicts "WHY" he could have used a tape recorder instead of relying on his writing. He stated didn't tape often because it tends to restrict information given from client, knowing it is being taped, but if he was behind a barrier what was stopping him from taping interviews?

It feels that way. though he seemed to be setting his rebuttal case up while on cross with Jodi. He defintely needs to solidify in the jurors minds the pre-meditation factor

I hope it starts winding down soon. Look at how aggravated we get with all of it. Can you imagine how the jury must feel? I have actually done research on this for a work related incident. In Arizona, you are allowed to tape any conversation, as long as 1 person knows that it is being taped. I'm not sure about a Dr(he is NOT)/ patient relationship, but in general, yes.

The issue really is that Dr. Dick doesn't tape interviews because, according to him, the process of taping inhibits the flow of conversation so he'd rather work the old fashioned way by inconspicuously jotting down notes during the course of the interview. The law/issue of 'consent to be recorded' wouldn't really apply here since Jodi Arias and her Legal Counsel would have signed a blanket consent agreement as a condition of him agreeing to perform the evaluation services. In plain words, Dr. Dick didn't record because he, and he alone, didn't want to and no one can force him to.

I thought the same thing--he seems like he's in over his head. The State is only going to put the best prosecuting attorneys on death penalty cases. I doubt he's ever run across anyone as astute as Martinez.

I don't feel sorry for him, though. He touts himself as an expert in portraying criminal clients in a better light. I love that Martinez ripped him apart...

Dear Diary,

I am sitting here in court listening to my life be taken away by some bumbling fool who can't keep the simplest of my lies straight. How hard is it? I told Doctor Dildo the same lie like a hundred times. Most of the story is me being in a fog. He only has to remember like, four things. Jennifer is trying to lead him, but honestly, I think this clown needs cue cards or something. I cannot believe he is getting paid $250 per hour. My testimony was 100 times better than his. He is supposed to be the the "trial expert"? If Doctor Dildo gets $250 an hour for that crap fest then I think I should be paid for my testimony. My rate should be at least $300 per hour. I will have to make sure I discuss this with Nurmi immediately.

I am feeling a Martinez Migraine coming on. I wonder if I should faint or something? I'm trying to go into my trance. It is very disassociative of me. I zone out and look kind of like a zombie. In my head I am traveling a million miles away to my happy place. In my happy place there are mirrors everywhere, so I can see how beautiful I am at all times. There are 24 hour Applebee's and Starbucks on every corner. And there are tons of admirers who adore me without ceasing...and we have buttsecks. Lots and lots of buttsecks.

Oh crap, what was that? Something just brought me out of my happy place. Of course, it was Fartinez, objecting again. Ugh. I wish he would die already. Hmmmm, I wonder if I have time for a hidden message to the gallery? I am communicating with a certain someone who shall not be named. Let's just say that I have a plan B if things don't go the way I want them to.

I have come up with a wonderful way of stealing paper from the courthouse. I am really sneaky about it. I take a piece of paper, surreptitiously fold it up and stick it under my thigh. Next I maneuver myself and the paper until the paper is in the back of my pants. Then I do a little wiggle and the paper falls right into my butt hole. When I get back to the jail, I've got several (mostly clean) sheets of paper to draw on. It is such a high to steal paper right there in front of the sheriff deputy and the judge. I just love being deceitful.

Speaking of deceitful...I will give it to Doctor Dildo. He pulled a really good one on Fartinez today. When his back was turned he was writing in his notebook all the things he was supposed to already have in there. He did it in the nick of time too. It was only a few moments later that the notebook was admitted into evidence officially.

Oh, what's this? Looks like court is over today. Be back in a few.

I have a little secret I am dying to share. I have a new LOVE interest in my life. I can't say too much, but I will tell you she is a latina lover that is almost as gorgeous as I am. Today was really erotic. We kept exchanging glances throughout the day. And at the end, we engaged in some whispering...but this was no "vanilla" whispering, it was "sex whispering"! Do you remember the girl who called police anonymously and asked that they check into her husband when Travis was found dead? Her name was Ashley Thompson. Her husband was Dustin Thompson. The two of them were getting divorced at that time. (I?m getting all this from the police report.) She was good friends with Travis, and she talked with him about rooming at his house. She and Travis decided it wouldn?t look right (she was Mormon too), so she rented an apartment and moved out of the house she shared with her husband two weeks before Travis? murder. When Travis was murdered, she thought her husband wasn?t acting right at that time. A few weeks later, in a follow up police interview, she admitted that she was the anonymous caller (although the police already knew that), but that she didn?t think her husband had anything to do with it anymore. Well, I read that she died in 2010. After she divorced Dustin, she changed her name back to her maiden name, Ashley Nicole Reed. She was only 28. Her obituary is on EastValleyTribune.com. There wasn?t anything in the obit or in the Mesa news sites that hinted at how she died.

I?m not saying that Jodi didn?t kill Travis. I just thought it was interesting and I should share it.
