Do you know what I am sick of the media doing? I am sick of seeing the media put up the Jodi & Travis "happy relationship" photos. She is already associated with his name in a sick way forever. She doesn't deserve to be shown in pictures smiling with him. She forfeited that right when she slaughtered him. The only photos that should be shown of Travis are of him and his friends, him and his family, him LIVING. Not the photos of him smiling with his murderer. Ok, off my soapbox.

There is only one way for Jodi's story to work: If Travis just stood around for a while after he pushed her. If he were so enraged, there is no way he'd let her back up after he pushed her/body-slammed her/whatever.
That is the stupidest part of her story. She just rolled and got up and he didn't stop her or try to stop her? She didn't even know if he was literally chasing her or not, by her own account. She said she "heard footsteps", but it wouldn't take very long for someone to catch up to you in that short hallway -- especially not an enraged man who is that abusive.
No time for her to get away, no time for her to get down the hallway, no time for her to slam doors or climb shelves and grab guns, no time to run back into the bathroom, no time for her to point. Hell, I doubt Travis would have had time to 'get down like a line backer'.
And the biggest problem is the trajectory. In all the re-enactments, defense included, the bullet track would have gone straight across or straight back through his head. The downward path of the bullet is not possible. Travis would have had to have been three feet off the ground with his head turned all the way to his shoulder, with Jodi pointing the gun down to get that bullet to go through his skull that way.
If the bullet entered his skull and tumbled and bounced around his head, I bet he wouldn't have been standing, so there goes that theory as well.
The lack of blood in certain areas is meaningless as well. We know she tried to clean up -- something no self-defence victime would do. You WANT that evidence there to support your claim. You don't clean up the crime scene and try to pretend you weren't there.

Jose Baez was incorrect when he said that the prosecutor has to disprove every instance of innocense. If we did that, there would never be any convictions. There can always be doubt. But it's reasonable doubt.
Is it reasonable to believe that this was all a case of self-defense? NO. I have yet to hear from ONE PERSON that Travis ever displayed anything that was even remotely violent. That type of behavior doesn't just appear one day. There are hints and signs of it, and there is NOTHING.

You're right but that also makes it so bizarre. Why didn't she leave ALL the evidence there or why didn't she clean EVERYTHING up. I don't get it.... Trying to clean part of it up and leaving all that blood, handprint, hair etc...
Thank you! I may have been a bit grumpy when I wrote it. I try very hard to remain balanced about this case; after all, I have no personal stake in it. BUT I see the potential for a miscarriage of justice, and sometimes it's hard not to take it personally after all.
It drives me wild that there are people out there in the world who absolutely need to be able to claim self-defence. That there are people who are seriously battered, physically and emotionally. That there are people who are truly raped, and who are damaged for a lifetime from that.
And then to have her try to claim it and make it her own because she got caught up in all her lies....

This! THIS! I HATE the photos of her and Travis before she killed him. I also hate the pictures that she took of him! If the media had ANY FRIGGING HEART, they'd show pictures of Travis with his FRIENDS! Not with the poser who murdered him!
With that said, I do believe she'll be convicted and sent to death row (tho I find myself knocking on wood when I say that) I have Casey Anthony PTSD along with most of the posters here, I'm sure.

I do too. It is a different case, different jury though. I think the CA trial would have gone a different way had there been physical evidence, finger prints on the tape, and if she actually got on the stand. I think Nurmi handed her a shovel when she took the stand because all she did was dig herself into a hole. They also keep digging with each witness they bring up there to testify on her behalf. I have faith that this jury will come back with the right verdict, and punishment.
The neck wound bothers me the most.....I cannot imagine how someone is capable of inflicting such a horrendous wound on another person. I could not do that to an animal, much less a human being. This was someone that she was intimate with, only hours before she did this? For me, this is what convinces me beyond any doubt of her guilt of 1st degree murder. How can she sit there, existing in her own skin?

I agree. And as much as I have never been an advocate of the DP, I will not shed a tear if the judge hands that verdict down. She has got to be one of the most dispicable people on the planet.
I'm pretty sure it's the tape of the interview that JM and Flores had with Dr. Dick, when there was question of what kind of testimony he would be providing.....JM was objecting to the power point presentation content, and they were given a chance to interview DD and ask him what he intended to provide when he got up on the stand.
Sorry for posting those pics that got these reactions. I just thought they were interesting and people would want to see new content.
