I was just watching parts of the Sean Fitzpatrick trial from a few years ago (it was carried live on CTV, jealous lover kills husband). The wife was on the stand (Michelle Zametti), and she shook so much the chair was rocking. Jodi's chair didn't move one inch, she was totally getting off being the center of attention. She is trying to look "detached" and "removed" and "having a blunted affect" to encourage the jury to believe that she is suffering from PTSD. It's so transparent, it's almost funny. Almost. Overall it is just really insulting.

I agree. I think they absolutely prepped her to get her blank "game face" on prior to today's testimony to make it seem more legit. She didn't seem that detached when she was using her hands all expressive like during her time on the stand.

He is testifying to general information about PTSD, not on his own observations and opinions concerning his "evaluation" of Jodi Arias. They must have gotten this guy for a bargain basement price. He is an embarrassment to his supposed profession. I want to throw a rock at him.

That's exactly what happens to those of us who actually suffer this type of anxiety...and PTSD. Monkey Face and her hired guns are started to piss me off.

i don't think the defense is helping itself with this current line of questioning. having the "expert" explain how ptsd and disassociative disorder explain why JA left the voice mail on TA's phone and sent flowers to his grandmother makes no sense, in light of the fact that JA already told the jury why she did both of those things, to try to avoid prosecution and keep people of thinking she had anything to do with his death. the jury asked about both those incidents, ( i believe, could be wrong) so they already know why she did them. they would be better off having him "explain" actions that JA had no answer for, or didn't remember.

I might tend to believe the shaking thing. But I think the shaking stems from anger. Similar to the feeling you get in your tummy when in an escalating argument. Less scared puppy, more psycho rage adrenaline.

It really was an out of body experience, just like a movie. Even the earliest memories I had of it I wasn't seeing it in first person view, but as you would when you see a movie. I think that's probably the case with a lot of people who experience those moments of heightened sensations, which makes it hard to believe that Jodi doesn't not only remember what happened, but vividly enough where she can picture it as a "second person" to the event.

I have never heard of PTSD giving anyone a blunted effect, and I've researched this for nearly 20 years.

Question: Can the jurors ask questions to anyone that goes on the stand? I was under the impression it was just the defendant they could question.
