Pffft to her plea attempts. She tried to BLACKMAIL TA's family and the Prosecution into a lighter sentence. Either give her a sentence she thought was fair, once she knew all of the evidence and that her ninja story wasn't going to fly, or she was going to trash TA in court. Paint him as an abuser and a pedophile.

Thank goodness TA's family is brave enough to stand up for TA and courageous enough to sit there every day listen to her horseshit. They have displayed nothing but dignity and grace. I cannot imagine how difficult this must be for all of them.

Thank goodness Juan Martinez is a prosecutor unafraid to fight for the victim. I heard someone say the other day that he dislikes Stabby and that's why he went after her aggressively on cross. I hope he does dislike her, after all of the lies she has told, after she tried to blackmail him and TA''s family into a plea agreement with a light sentence, after wasting untold man hours and tax payer dollars but most of all, I hope he really dislikes her for she did to TA.
This is what makes me the most SICK about this bitch. She has thought all along that she [B]controlled[B]this whole situation. That she could manipulate everyone in this case to do her bidding. When that didn't work, she fired her attorney's and then decided to represent herself and had her little friend write the pedo letters "from Travis". When that didn't work she decided she was in over her head and got the Sex Defense team and demanded lesser charges or she was going to drag Travis' repuatation and good name through the mud. She had the BALLS to give the State of Arizona an ultimatium.

Who does this psychotic bitch thinks she is? I saw her little smirk after court adjourned for the day.... she thinks she is going to get off.. and she for sure thinks if they convict her it will only be for manslaughter since she doesn't remember killing him and gee... she is such an awesome human being. SHe has NO redeeming qualities, she has NOTHING to offer this world. After seeing her in the interogation room with the tapes the jury will never see of her doing hand stands, complaining that she "should have at least put on makeup, gosh Jodi" and singing after being told that they knew she killed Travis, there is no reason to spare her life. She hasn't shown one ounce of remorse for what she has done.

I also love that JM seems to hate Jodi and wants her to pay for what she has done. I hope this is yet another DP feather he gets to put into his cap. I can tell you when he convicts her I am sending him a thank you gift to the prosecutors office. He is the man I want on my side if someone killed me or my loved one.

TA's family has more strength and courage in their little fingers than Jodi has in her whole Body. I respect them so much.

    RIP Travis

Sorry but it is victim blaming. The very thing that needs to be overcome is this society. It is extremely unfair to judge him with hindsight! The murderer CHOSES to kill. Saying he could have prevented it is blaming the victim for HER actions.
My goodness, intuition is female based? wow, that's an old sexist thought for this day and age.

Must be a woman that started that? lol I've heard men my whole life say 'just don't like him, just don't like her' 'gut feeling' .. I don't know how or when women claimed it as theirs. Maybe when we won voting rights and gave up smelling salts? I think the amount of women AND men in dysfunctional relationships proves it isn't a sexist skill but ignored or lacking and overruled by emotions in both sexes.

Another area I don't think was dealt into. No receipt marked, no record of a return said Walmart. But, if she really got cash, and it's not for whatever reason not recorded, wouldn't the returns cashier for that day have a cash box short of that amount of money? Could that be a last resort way of trying to check? If this happened to happen, the cashier would have to pay out of pocket that shortage and he/she would remember. Or at least someone would have noted that.

Large corporations POS (Point of Sale) don't work like small cash drawers. Cash missing means nothing per item, only that cash is missing.
However, it wouldn't matter what payment method was on purchase or return. Merchandise is tracked through the inventory portion of software systems. To better explain it, when I would look in an inventory screen, I could see not only how many was in store but where they were. I could tell you if one was out on the floor available for sale, if ten were in the warehouse waiting to be stocked out to the floor, or one in customer service, or even how many were in other states or on a truck coming. I could drill down and even see codes for how many were RTN (returned), what store and date of the RTN.

True; I'll take that about the sexist point, as it was many of his male friends who recognized something off about her. Times ARE changing, and I try to teach my teen son to listen to that inner voice, since I've learned the hard way too many times.

But as someone who's called the prosecutor's office a few times to give info to help their case, you won't find someone who's more PRO-Travis

Of course the defense is going to claim that Stabby DID return it for cash, but gosh darn it, the stupid Walmart clerk forgot to ring it into the register or circle it.

You make a good point about a discrepancy between the cash box and the totals if that were the case, hopefully SuperJuan has thought of that. Also, hopefully Walmart keeps records of that sort of thing (I would imagine they do).

However, even though it is not impossible that a Walmart clerk could make a mistake, it just adds one more thing to Stabby's already HUGE list of "coincidences". A list that is already far too long to be in any way believable.

Very interesting! I did not know this. Should make SuperJuan's job even easier.

Oh I never thought you weren't for justice for Travis. Just addressing attitudes that help no one and are all too common in our society. Not blaming anyone one for anything. Heck, I catch myself checking my own all too often! They are ingrained in us early in life sigh, and our intelligence has to work to over come them.

What I raised my kids on was a repetive plea. Might sound shocking for some, but life is real, better truth be told at home imo. So as each reached dating age, they would get the lecture ...
    1. IF you have a piece of ass and you see they are in love, and you aren't, do the decent thing, be kind enough to walk away because the one in love doesn't have the mind or emotional strength to do it.
    2. If they are not happy with the other person around them, that is a strong message to run not walk away.
We all know you can't give them too many lectures because then they'll stop listening lol

There would be a record. I don't think that their practices changed all that much in 5 years. When you make a return in Walmart it is possible, but rare, that they will give you cash for a debit card purchase. The item on the receipt would be circled, or highlighted, then initialed by the cashier. The item would be scanned back in the register as a return. The till would open and cash given. If the cashier did it "under the table" (which would make no sense) and opened her till and handed her cash the drawer would be short. The cashier would then be written up for a shortage. Anything over $5 in most stores is a write-up.
These days Walmart actually takes your ID and enters it into the system when processing the return, I do think that it is a new practice though. Other than that, it has remained the same.

Read the above linked piece on HuffPo this morning. It is written by prisoner William Blake, a man sentenced to life in prison in 1987 when he was 23. For the past 26 years he has been held in solitary confinement.

This powerful essay earned Blake an Honorable Mention in the Yale Law Journal?s Prison Law Writing Contest, chosen from more than 1,500 entries. He describes here in painstaking detail his excruciating experiences over the last quarter-century.

For those who fear JA may be spared the death penalty, perhaps you will take some "comfort" in contemplting what her "existence" might be like should she be so "lucky." I think living under such circumstances/conditions, for decades upon decades, might compel even JA to actually follow through with her yet unfulfilled wish to do herself in. I'm against the DP, mostly because of the abitrary manner in which it may be applied, the possibility that someone innocent might be put to death. But I could more easily sentence a person to death than subject any breathing being to such torture. Then again, if anyone is worthy of being sentenced to life in hell, it is JA. What do you think?

I wish Martinez would bring in a model of a skull and brain and trace the trajectory of the bullut through the brain to see hom much of the brain was actually impacted by the bullet. They have the entrance wound above the eyebrow and where the bullet was recovered in the cheek but it's hard for me to picture where it crossed the brain. The ME couldn't really address this IIRC b/c the brain had decomposed so much.

Then they could have a neurosurgeon maybe testify as to what effect a .25 cal. bullet wound to that part of the brain would have on a person, i.e. would Travis have been able to speak or move purposefully or even have been conscious after the gunshot. To me this issue was never resolved by the ME and it's kind of important IMO.

Here's what I SHOULD HAVE SAID: We don't discuss enough in our society how to identify/deal with anti-social personalities (Socio/Psychopaths). I think we (myself included) can all be helped to try avoiding these types from ruining our lives, if we would discuss it/learn about it & pass it to our kids. It's not his fault Jodi is a nut-job. It's not his fault we don't discuss it enough. And it's certainly not his fault he had an extremely rough childhood, where he, like many of us, MAY have had difficulties setting boundaries. It may have happened anyway. She's unstable, obviously. If there were only some way it could've been stopped. I've cried many tears for this man. I certainly don't believe he's to blame in any way. There but for the Grace of God go any of us

Knowledge learned that is a lifesaver when shopping especially at Christmas. If you ever don't see your item, think they are out of stock, better check with an employee! I can't count the times you will find out they in fact have them in the back just didn't get them out yet. Or if they really are all out, they can tell you an ETA of when the truck is coming with more etc. The worst of all scenerio, sorry "discontinued". I could even tell you if it 'we' the store discontinued carrying it, or if it was MFGDIS manufacture discontinued.

    Slasher is screwed!

I love Steve's face. A very attractive young man. Although he is very subtle, he does react by curling his lip up in a snarl when he's disgusted with testimony...like he's smelling a fart. He did that a lot when Stabby was testifying.

She didn't make a debit card purchase, the receipt shows she paid cash. The store can still simply look for all returns on any day and tell what was returned by SKU numbers. Again the system tracks items regardless of payment or return transaction types.

Each part of the brain controls something. I don't remember what is what except his speech would not have been affected. The speech center in the brain is on the left side, a little behind the temple, a little above the ear. That's a telltale sign of a stroke patient who's infarct occurred there, and can't speak.

But again, using his childhood against him is blaming him. There are people from ALL walks of life that are victims of homicide. I don't know why you are looking to the victims to prevent their own murders. You can't prevent murders be it sociopath \ psychos or not is the point. It isn't a choice or something we can do, the perp is the one that makes the choice. If they wanted you to know who they were, they wouldn't be sociopaths psychos! If we could spot or predict them, there wouldn't be any walking around. The very definition tells you that they are highly maninpulative! They blend in! Give you what you want to see and accept. It is UNDER the surface they will find a victim, that is why they are "crazy dangerous".. its not the victim to blame. Even the best of Law Enforcement can't predict which ones are ... until they kill. It would be like saying we could find a way to predict the church mom was going to blow her husbands face off, no one say that coming.

My understanding is that how a person is affected by a brain injury depends greatly on where exactly the injury is. There are cases where a seemingly small injury causes massive permanent damage, and other cases where what looks like a huge injury has little permanent impact. I saw a documentary about a case where a person suffering extremely severe and constant seizures had half his brain removed to stop the seizures, and the operation worked and the person had very little negative affect from the procedure (which did stop his seizures).

So I agree, having an expert testify as to what Travis could or could not have done immediately after an injury to that section of the brain is critical. Perhaps SuperJuan did not offer such testimony already because he wanted to give Stabby plenty of rope to hang herself with (by claiming Travis kept yelling, threatening and chasing her even after she shot him in the head)? Then if he comes back with an expert that says that would have been pretty much impossible, she is once again shown to be a liar.

IMOO - This is what i believe happened. I believe she shot him while sitting in the shower somewhat like the last pic. She said in her interview she would "have to shoot him" in a humane way. The trajectory of the bullet supports this also. And there are many shooting cases in the frontal lobe supporting movement after the injury. Travis was then able to rise from the shower, to her surprise, and move toward the sink area. I believe at this point she started to stab him and this is when he received some defensive wounds to the hands. He then reaches the sink area where he coughs up blood from the gunshot while receiving the back stab wounds. I think this is when he says "You F***king killed me bitch." She changed this to support her story taking his words again. He then stumbles to around the closet(linen) door where he receives the stab wound to the heart and front torso receiving more defensive hand wounds. The blood at this point of the crime scene supports this. I think then he went down the hallway, back to the wall, leaving the blood marks on the wall to the end of the hallway and collapses to hands and knees at the carpet to the bedroom, where she climbs on his back, slits his throat, and he collapses forehead first into the carpet. Again this is supported by the blood evidence and traffic marks, including his head, in the carpet in this area. The next picture taken accidentally of her dragging his lifeless body back to the shower to where she expected him to die in the first place. The casing was dropped in the haste of her trying to clean up the mess and looking for all the evidence.

Been contemplating asking, but who has the photobucket page with all the photos? I'm a pain in the ass I know.
