I believe that was the first interview. He interviewed her twice, if I recall. I had no idea she was doing that shit after he left the room. She supposedly flirted with him too. He stopped her from saying..he never ....(ABUSED)...me..that was the way it was going. He interrupted her. Maybe he felt sorry for her. He did say she did not look like someone who could do this to another person.

This sounds gross and awful...but there is also suction that occurs that makes it hard to extract a knife. Think of if you have ever used a tenderizer on steak, it is hard to pull out. So not only would it have the resistance of going in, but it would take force to pull it back out. No wonder her shoulder has bothered her ever since. Ugh, poor, poor Jodi. NOT.

Not only does poor Jodi have a sore shoulder, but she is TRAUMATIZED, don't forget, to this day. Dr. Dick testified that she was so traumatized it took her TWO YEARS to face the truth about what she had done!

She cannot confess she had the knife, or know anything about it. That will beg the death penalty. So, self defense by shooting is her defense. Hopefully, Martinez will make that defense fall away in closing arguments.

Couldn't have been Maricopa County... that video was shot in California. Detective Flores interviewed her there before she was arrested. She was extradited to Arizona sometime later.

The second interrogation was also in California, where she was wearing the orange prison garb. They wear stripes in Maricopa County...

He flew there to interview her. I read that in his report.

Yes! The pictures of Travis, sitting in that shower, shows how incredibly small it was. I forget the exact measurements, but I think it was 36 wide by 34? deep? Tiny. He would have had a problem trying to leap out of that position....or even get up on his feet!

Maybe she started the attack with the knife when he was kneeling to get out? She did say he was on his knees when she was interviewed by Flores. There is some truth in her words. I also wonder if she did not dress up like a ninja..Hair tied up, all black clothing. Easier not to get blood on her street clothes.

She was very quick to correct Martinez any time he said, "..when you shot him" with "the gun went off".

I just thought of something! When they do the new reenactment timeline, they should start it with the "victim" sitting down in a shower the SAME SIZE as the real shower (like the last pic of Travis). Then start the clock with the camera drop, then victim yells and HAS TO GET TO HIS FEET (in that tiny shower). Then step out of the shower. Then pick up the reenactor and bodyslam them (or pretend to). Then the running starts.

I think this would add considerable time to the reenactment. I think standing up from a full seated position in that shower is going to add several seconds, at the very least.

I am glad HLN is doing a more accurate reenactment soon. The current one is flawed, imho. The stabbing portion has NO struggling by a victim, and also the stabbing is not actual stabbing, it is just someone moving their arm up and down. With actual stabbing, there is resistance from the item being stabbed.... in the case of Travis, his flesh (and perhaps bone) would have given more resistance to the knife than the HLN guy just moving his arm up and down. This would have slowed down the pace somewhat.

If they want an accurate recreation, they need to supply some physical body for the reenactor to stab. Perhaps an animal carcass or some kind of test dummy filled with gel, like they use to recreate the dynamics of gun shot wounds, etc.

I'm actually quite offended you'd quote me to post that, being as I am NO stranger to tragedy and horror and have always used joking as part if the coping mechanism to deal with such.

Lets see... Ive had not one, but 2 ex bfs commit suicide. Gunshots to the head. Someone broke into my little brothers apartment while he was sleeping and stabbed him in the head and neck almost 50x with a screwdriver (miraculously, he lived). My bf (at the time), well his little brother was beaten to death with a hatchet and a hammer by his so-called friends. And that's just SOME of it. As you can see, I'm well acquainted with pain and tragedy. So please, don't tell me how to deal with it.
