So am I confused here, wouldn't she have gotten PTSD after she already killed him and cleanse her or did it set in while the killing was galling? Bc if she has a pretty vivid memory up till she shot him...PTSD I heard can also slow down time Southey actually remember a lot more so they are traumatized by it for repeating memories ? This is because you have no control over them. Sorry to use a arias word but they literally haunt you. You could be grocery shopping and a 'trigger' set off, or a color, or smell etc. Doesn't matter where you are, what you are doing, you get flooded, they literally take you over. They aren't something you can put on an imaginary shelf for 10 hrs a day to sit your ugly ass in court without any sign of an episode.

Early on today I thought Jodi seemed very listless, staring off blankly into space instead of busily writing like she usually does. I even wondered if she was medicated...then the sex therapist/transgender counselor/whatever (WTH?) started talking about flat affect, dissociation etc. and I realized...she's ACTING! Totally acting the part of a PTSD victim for the jury's benefit. And the smiling with Nurmi at the end (was the jury out of the courtroom at that point?) was the icing on the cake--I expected them to start high-fiving each other next. Just, I don't know, disturbing...

Too bad the Jury (is that supposed to be capitalized? I'm never really sure about that one...) doesn't get to see this REAL side of her. I should say TRYING to portray, actually, cuz her verbal sparring with Mr. Martinez was a huge contrast to that.

With my personal experience with PTSD, at first the flashbacks were literally, 24/7. Even sleep provided no relief, because they morphed into nightmares. My brain would constantly be trying to bring me back to that traumatic event. And you are so right...the "triggers" are anything and everything. It takes years to gain control over them....and they will still catch me off-guard on occasion. In short, it's hard work to keep the symptoms from taking over your entire life. Jodi and this "expert" make it seem like it's just a case of amnesia?! As IF it were only that simple.

I just picture the whole scene of him holding his hands up and asking her to stop. I read a few days back where someone theorized that she shot him last to make him stop making noises after she cut his throat which fits in with what ME said about him being deceased when she shot him. His death rattles unnerved her and she wanted it to stop.

I don't think they are allowed to play expert or act as if they are testifying IOWs to fellow jurors. IIRC that can get them kicked off. I'd have to check the jury instructions to be sure.
But I just got to where this doc tells the jury how SUPER human strength is experienced. Great presentation! Any juror doubting she could 'do this alone' he just erased that doubt.

I don't really blame Chad. Travis was his very good friend. He never meant to do or say something that would hurt Travis. At the time he made the comment, they were just two dorky guys making joke insults to one another on social media. There is no way Chad could know that soon Travis would be slaughtered, and his murderer would claim he was a pedophile.
