OK, now Travis loaded the gun in December and "took it somewhere" to "do something".
She moved into my ward when she moved to Mesa. I'll try to be brief since I've told this before: I met her at a new members event that I was in charge of (she references it in her journal pages on January 24, 2008). She was by her lonesome, kind of forcing her way into a local conversation at the kitchen island. I sat next to her and we talked for some time. There was no injury to any finger on her hand (supposedly Travis had broken her finger 2 days prior), there was also no bandage. She told me she had moved there to be near the guy that she was dating so they could move their relationship to the next level (obviously now we know they were broken up).
After we ate, the group played "Never have I ever" - which is like an aggressive version of musical chairs ish. You are running and jumping onto chairs. Jodi was very actively involved - and if she'd had a recently broken finger, I think this game would have been a bit painful (grabbing at chairs, toppling over, running into people...etc).
She was very nice, very likable, friends, but also a bit shy and awkward socially. But fine one-on-one and I never would have thought all that lurked underneath with her. I thought she was a good girl, recently baptized, and very sweet. (BTW - I never really saw her at church though, and I would look for her. This just helps solidify to me that she only joined for Travis since she didn't really bother to attend... But there are about 200 people that were in the ward, so I may have just not seen her...but I did look, so dunno).
I'd say my opinion of her has done a 180...
