Agree with that. As she also does with called/calls, said/says. When she slips up she immediately goes back into present tense, it's totally measured.

Yeah, I know it is very small for home protection and I have only one round of ammo and I typically keep it there unloaded, it did come with a holster!
Yip. I think her mouth ran away with her just a bit too much there. It'd be interesting to find out if grampa's gun was in a holster.

You know, I've thought about this more and more recently. Bar jobs aside, where she got money from is all a bit of a mystery. And from what we know of Brewer, his working history is sporadic and kinda vague. It begs the question just what did Jodi work at to enable her to sustain the upkeep of the house they bought together when Brewer was out of work? I know it's been said Brewer was filmed off camera to protect his son etc., and I'm just speculating, but imagine he didn't want his face 'out there' for another reason? He seemed reluctant to say anything negative about her, hesitating before admitting giving her the gas cans, that's always bothered me. Even knowing (at trial) she'd killed Travis. Hell, she snarked at him when he asked her why she needed them, then wouldn't tell him. Nah, something's not right, it's like there's a hold there somewhere. She doesn't have the appearance of a meth/crack head obviously, but coke can, and does, make people feel invincible. Though you'd think someone would've come out of the woodwork by now on that score, if it were 'just' along the lines () of coke and hash. Like I say, speculating but it nags at me.

Personally just because JM called and said walmart claimed no gas can was returned, but did he ask if a kerosene can was returned. Two different things. They would say no to any gas can being returned, because it was a kerosene that JA bought and returned. So if Nurmi would find a record of a kerosene can being returned who exactly is blown out of the water?

ETA: Please feel free to help me award multiple "BIGGEST DUMBASS" awards....the site is a plethora of dumbasses.
**Snipped both, for space and moaners. You're a good lass venturing into the cesspit for us, I had a look once and the dumbness just irritated the hell out of me. Kudos to all that do and bring back the funnies.

Travis' family's life is absolutely changed forever due to her physically ending their brothers' life, but what about the additional grief and anger she's causing them now with her toxic mouth and sickening behaviour on that stand? I obviously don't see what you see with her family, they tried to sell fake sick letters and her "art", is that not a form of a 'win' situation for them? They behave like they're at the cinema in that courtroom for christ sakes. Not getting a picture of a broken family here. I, personally, couldn't give a flying fuck whether she lives or dies, but I joined here to talk about things like this, the clue was in the name of the forum.

And sorry hun Travis did have a choice. One would have been to start a paper trail with the police 5 -6 what 25 times ?that has a way of backing people off .He chose not to why? Why after being a 30 year old virgin did he give it up for her? why?To question that questions his judgement no? Why Jodi? ya got me? ,she ain't all that but hey if he was my friend I would of been as long as he makes my buddy happy. No one is asking you for sympathy especially me.
Maybe it's because I haven't got a Great Dane that I don't get ya. But what, exactly, are you implying here? Humour me, please?

okay to get serious a minute ... it could have been simple denial. Try and imagine no matter how nuts someone drives you, hurts you, it's still a person you once loved, once laid with, ate with etc. All times weren't bad. Even sanity and instinct gives in to doubt, deep down, you don't really think, accept, they will actually kill you.

I just listened to the first day of trial (or part of it having a hard time with Nurmi's cross of Mimi) and Marie Hall gets choked up and has to pause when she talks about the day she found Travis. There is more raw emotion in those few seconds, and I am only hearing it, there is no video than anything I have seen from his actual killer.

It strikes me over and over, she keeps repeating that she knew she had done something really bad, her life was over. In her interview with Detective Flores she begins crying and says it is not fair, she is going to miss so many things. She has said that she wishes she had not lied about what happened but I have not heard she wishes she had not killed Travis.

Has there EVER been an apology in any form for taking Travis' life??

This whole "fog" thing is bothering me for some reason....I can't put my finger on it though. When she says "fog" I think dissociation. And in reference to the video with Beth Thompson the six year old, it got be thinking about a Reactive Attachment Disorder for Jodi when she was young. Again not enough info or history for me to clearly make that dx. I was also thinking about her road to anti-social behavior. What I am not seeing is any type of Conduct Disorder in her teens...

Nope. Nurmi tried to lead her down that path at the end of his redirect on Thursday last week but the best she could come up with was "I'm ashamed of what I did".

I agree. I am burned out on Jodi, not the case. I am freaking sick of listening to her talk, and talk, and talk, and talk, and talk.

Can't wait till this broad gets off the stand once and for all.

It feels like it will never end when questions from the jurors keep coming .... when the hell will they put a stop to those?????

I actually do disagree with this, Mike Walker (? not sure if it is Wallce or Walker) from the NE said that he actually felt badly for her mother, she cried and said she was only coming to him because Jodi had asked.
I saw one of the talking heads on HLN had a run in with her in the bathroom and said their opinion on her changed, she seems kind of dim. I fault Nurmi for not instructing them on proper court demeanor on behalf of his client!! Of course, his co-counsel and the mitigator are just as bad, passing notes, chewing gum and giggling like they are in study hall. Neither her counsel, nor her family is doing anything to help her image.

Y'know, I've never heard anything approaching a sadness for Travis. Not once. Even when Nurmi almost seemed to push her in that direction at the end of follow up.

I think we are all sick of her, what else can be learned from her? She is obviously not going to tell the truth, the only interesting thing about her now is watching her spin lies when Juan Martinez catches her in yet another lie. I am dying to see if Matt McCartney is going to take the stand and seriously hope it is for the prosecution.
This may be the only trial in history where the defendant filibusters

    Hi Everyone!!
Hi, me too, bring on some Juan Martinez! I am so hoping we get the crying Jodi today!!!! Even when she's faking it, I llike knowing it's work for her and to see her miserable.

lol at blue. I think Justice11 pegged it, she's just going to say well you never asked me about a kerosene can. Don't know why she ever wanted KY, she's a slippery little bitch all by herself without it.

Now that she's showing she's sick of herself, I want them to keep her there ... ask ask ask ask until she turns as blue as that can she didn't return. And I demand tears damnit! lots of them, so she's worn out at the end of each day and tired of having to peep out through her bent finger.

I actually went through a traumatizing "fog", when I quite unexpectedly discovered the deceased (and hanging) body of my beloved husband, back in the 90's. To this day, the slightest thing can trigger a flashback....so strong is the image imprinted in my memory banks. I can tell you that you do NOT forget large chunks of time. I can still tell you what color of shirt he had on, how his feet were pointing downward. I can tell you that the brain does shut off, and go into self-preservation mode. For instance, I recall events beings almost eerily in slow motion as I realized what my eyes were actually seeing. My brain and eyes fought for a second, and the thought process was "Oh, HERE you are, Steve! No....wait.....something is.....not......right.............(this is where my brain spits out the computation of "he is too tall....why is he so tall..." Then shock sets in. In slow motion effect, I run up into the house, screeching.....and fumble with the phone to dial 911. Then I collapse into a shaking and traumatized mess. And I stay that way for a long long long time. The only fog or blurred spot I have, still, is that the rope and his neck area are just a blurry image in my mind. THAT is how it feels. It continued for months...that blessed fog. But it's not so thick that you don't know what is happening. Everything just seems.....slow. Maybe it's because truly traumatized people are simply focusing on figuring out how they can will their lungs to draw in the next breath. How they can stay upright and breathing for the next hour. Two hours. Three hours.
I am tired of the armchair "psychologists" who are buying her crap about the "fog"......
Stop trying to justify why Jodi did it. That detracts from the fact that she DID do it.

I'm so sorry you had that horrible experience. I agree, her fog is a sham. Jodi remembers everything. IMO, she feels those memories are deeply personal and for her only.
