Question? Why does Mr. Nurmi keep scratching his junk in court?

I leave you with that delectable image.

    Until tomorrow! Good night.

It's 2013. Are there still people that don't shave their junk? I'm talking male and/or female here.

    Also, who is Nurmi?

Exactly kimi! Why not just say those were injuries i apparently got during the stabbing. Why be so headstrong and stubborn that her finger got cut at work? (eye roll)

You might want to study the fifth amendment first. Just saying.

Slasher is getting her "due process". AZ doesn't care what you think, their law includes the death penalty. For anyone that doesn't like that, I'd suggest not to committ a murder in AZ.
Hell fuckin YES! Love this, just love it! Yeah, it's pretty simple, don't murder someone then one wouldn't have to be in court, period. Jodi made the choice to slaughter TA and now she can pay.

    ??--------------
( This comment totally crack me up by the way) I can't even remove those darn stickers from items they have to be removed from--- why the heck is that guy so concerned about removing a price tag from a gas can? God forbid a smelly gas can that's been handled by a greasemonkey, stored in a garage be defaced by a stubborn sticky price tag?

I do give a rat's ass. She deserves the DP. Plain and simple. LWOP provides her with social interactions with other prisoners, she can get married and in some prisons have conjugal visits. She will be queen of the block, creating chaos for people who actually have a chance at rehabilitation. Rules were not meant for her and she won't follow them in prison either. DP provides her with no social interaction. I hope she dies a natural death on death row.

Can't see the entertainment factor in her in watching her spin her tales and making shit up on the fly? I would feel differently if she would just fess up and say have pity on me because i'm defective.

The DV experts say the abused have a hard time leaving the abuser. Travis was the one abused.

I'd be surprised if JM doesn't locate emails or texts with her threatening to kill herself if she didn't get her way with Travis. I mean, that seems to be her M.O. How many times has she mentioned the ol' suicidal cloud since this trial began?

As much as I think Jodi was behind that, they never actually proved it was her. It was suggested that it might have been Lisa's (?) ex-boyfriend, who had a temper problem. Also...she apparently doesn't need an invitation as long as there's a doggy door she can use.

I'm not saying if Fartinez has a record from wal mart or not . I would still fire nurmi seeing that I'm not looking good at this point plus all the negatives of nurmi. It would DEFENITLY change things around and this trial may go her way . I guess what I'm trying to day is this. At this point if they want to kill me I would do anything and everything to save my life. It's not looking good for jodi , she needs to do something now.
Does this guy realize how many times Nurmi's tried to jump ship? He's already made $225/hr for countless agonizing hours. He'd probably love nothing more than to be fired from this freakshow.

And wow, seanboy is an impressive serial poster. He should come on over so we can see which noob can make the most posts in a short period of time.

There's a difference between having a civic duty to determine a person's innocence or guilt vs. having a lively (admittedly one-sided) debate as outsiders looking in. If any of us was a judge or jury member, then you're right--this type of exchange would be extremely irresponsible if not illegal. They have an obligation to disregard emotional responses. I think most (some?) of us would make an effort to view this case from a more objective view if we were called upon to do so.

I know Casey Anthony comparisons are played out, but it's a good example of emotion vs. evidence. Many of the jurors were absolutely devastated when they had to return a "Not Guilty" verdict, saying they received death threats, became physically ill, and that it will haunt them for years to come. A few said that she was a "horrible" person. They were thinking the same things we were, only they couldn't get all sassy and indignant in a discussion board.

Yep. I think the defense's witness is going to get on the stand and basically describe what qualifies as abuse in the relationship---except she'll be working with Jodi and Travis' roles switched. She MIGHT be able to point out some things that could actually be considered abusive, but only to a slight (less than slight?) degree. Then JM will cross and show everyone that Travis fits the victim role more completely than Jodi does.

    And it will be glorious.

    - - -

Question: When the trial's back on, is it cool if we live post in this thread or does it go to chit chat? I usually uphold the less-is-more approach but it's so exciting when we're all fired up and seeing the same thing.

AND I wonder if they will ever release all of their emails and messages? I remember hearing that they had tens of thousands of communications between them. That's a fucklot considering they only knew each other for like two years and dated for 4 months?

If so, a caller on Jane Velz-Mitchell, called that specific Wallmart and asked about return policy. First, they told her that a receipt was required for a return. And secondly, they would mark return through the item.

I am not sure the store would refund in cash, if she used a credit card. I don't know..
Most stores credit your credit card back if you return something within a few hours. If it's days later, they may give you cash back. I guess it depends on your store

Yeah, I'm not sure they take Kerosene cans back. IDK for sure. If it was just a few minutes later, they may have taken it back.
We were without electricity once. We had 3 generators going. Husband sent me to Walmart to buy 2 more gas cans. Walmart was out, but I came back with the 2 kerosene cans. My hubby was pissed that I bought them. Walmart wouldn't take them back due to compliance issues about the chemicals and hazmat stuff,etc... My husband got a marker and marked all over them "GAS" and would kind of hide when he would fill them up. When we would fill the generators up, he always made me use up the blue cans first. As soon as our electricity came back-he got rid of the blue cans.

I didn't get what the big deal was, but he explained that it could screw some stuff up. Plus, red is the LEGAL color for gas. When I worked at the at store, we were told to cut the pump off if we seen somebody using the wrong container.

I actually think there is one or two jurors that have some questions about the whole state's case.
If Matt doesn't get put on the stand-there are going to be more questions and doubts.
If jurors are asking over 200+ questions and more are added all the time-there are doubts in that jury box.

Even if she gets DP-the chances of her dying quick are slim to none. Jodi has a great chance of winning an appeal due to her attorney-or lack of one.

    Good morning Bermstalker!
Jodi paid for the kerosene can with cash, someone uploaded the receipt a couple of pages back. Some joker on JAII was claiming he takes them back to Wal-mart all the time, he just rips off the UPC sticker. Putting gas in a blue can would have made Jodi conspicuous at the very least, according to your experience. My husband would agree with yours.

I think Travis was addicted to Jodi as an abuse victim would be. We'll probably see JM turn the tables on the defense experts with that.

Before this thread takes off later today, tell me about Darryl Brewer. How come he testified with no facial identity? He sounded honest, but hesitated about the gas can loaning. It still didn't make sense her driving way out of the way to "borrow" cans. Didn't he question her about how she was to get the cans back to him?Why would he even accept her answer about her planned trip? He might be honest, but this is a puzzling part to me.

Oh yeah. That's right. She did pay cash.
I don't get why people are calling Walmart now to see if they return certain things. That's crazy. Cashiers are all different. Some follow store policies to the dot and some don't.

I understand why the state or def wants the information-but not regular people. If it's against store policy, that's what Walmart is going to say to anybody that calls.

I love to follow cases, but if it means calling places and being an armchair cop searching for clues- uh, that is just strange as hell to me. If it doesn't come up on google or wayback machine-then I just say F it.
I question the dude's mental state if he is actually returning cans to walmart to see if he can.....b/c of this case.

    ETA: Good morning to everyone!

Jodi was with Daryl for 4 years. They bought a house together. He is 20 years older than her, divorced and has a son. That's why he didn't want to show his face, because of the kid. Did he whisper. "I'm sorry" after he admitted to lending her the cans?
Jodi went to the Monterey area to see Matt, another old boyfriend, as well as the stop at Daryl's.
IMO she also picked up some cash for booty at both stops.

No, for you to be on the guility team now means yea your on the guilty team and if you have jersey's and cookouts on the weekends show just how nonchalantly you take our great system and the death penalty.I'm not deflecting in the least in fact what I'm doing is taking it all in and when it's all in then is where I make my decision. For you to be in a guility position now means you can no longer be influenced of any fact that doesn't serve you .Going back to your "Jodi supporter " comment ,I don't transcribe to sociaty taking a life .I do feel that letting her sit in jail till her body gives out is far worse punishment because a mind alway's works and that can be torture knowing you will never see anything you have expierenced ever again.I do feel she will get LWOP but if she doesn't I won't feel any loss. Will you while your at your cookout with your Death Penalty t-shirt on ?lol

Wow, your name says it all. Loony is right. Maybe you should discuss this with the JAII site. They seem like more of your people...they can't spell and are nuts. Wow.

Jodi went to the Monterey area to see Matt, another old boyfriend, as well as the stop at Daryl's.
IMO she also picked up some cash for booty at both stops.
Agree with you here, I think she used sex as a way to manipulate and get what she actually wanted.
When she talks about sex and not enjoying it, to extent I think that's true. I think it was a means to an end.

For the new people joining in.

The trial will either start at 10am or 10:30am (not sure which). That is MST. (If you are EST-it will start at 1 or 1:30pm)
Here is a map for the city time zone compared with Mesa. Look for your area and it tells you how many hours ahead you are of Mesa's time.
