Exactly what I was thinking. I don't know that a lot of those questions are coming from people not paying attention, more a way to catch Jodi changing her story up because she can't remember how she told it the first time. And it happened A LOT.

I hope you are right, but I'm a skeptic! Jurors have been doing this before she even testified is what worries me.

WHY did Juan fight last week so hard on his misquoting what she said though? Killer said she hurt the damn finger on a metal shelf at work, Juan was going at her saying she said a broken glass.. this time he was way off the mark on that.

For now I just want to know wth he added Friday to his LOW! Bring me some Walmart, i hope .

True but some juries, like the Anthony jury, just make up their own rules.

You know, I know, Casey knew, and everyone else knows the truth about Caylees death. The jury knew too. The innocent verdict came because they followed the instructions. There was not one shred of physical evidence given, no DNA anywhere, nothing to directly tie her to the crime. Yes, the circumstances added up to us, but no verified evidence was ever given. I understand the verdict, I was involved as a juror in a miniscule case where we knew the crime was done, but the evidence and witnesses were not of anything concrete.
Living a stone's throw from Orlando, so our news day and night was about Casey Anthony. She's not been seen since that day of the verdict until last week when she had to appear in a court in Tampa to(of all things) declare bankruptcy!

This forum is amazing. Can't tell you how addicted I am! Hate to be new! But here it goes!

Jodi seems to come across as if she "did the murder" and now she is a different person "honest, etc".
She seems to have skipped the part where she needs to "pay" for her crime LOL.

Have no problem with the death penalty, but it is so true that life in prison is torture ultimately.
Do you notice her little grey hairs starting to come in when her hair is pulled back?
I picture her an old lady with a grey hair curtin in a jail cell.

Well spotted, TC1234 and the others who highlighted this. The prosecution have an enormous job directing her through a maze of lies to even answer one simple question. I am confident Martinez will use such statements to slam home her lies further. It shows that believing anything she claims can lead to wrong directions being taken - especially about the order of wounds. The final photographs are haunting, as they look done under duress, especially the ones of the victim crouched down, pleadingly looking at her as he is trying to process the horror unfolding.

I saw that. It's frightening. It gives some credibility to that dated concept that evil does exist among us that has been supressed by modern day psychiatry. I sorta referenced that in an recent very long post. Try to find the movie, "The Bad Seed" with Patty McCormack(?) and Miriam Hopkins. It must be about 40+ years ago and was made at the time when the 'rational science' of psychiatry was offering explanations of aberrant behavior in opposition to 'irrational' philosophical/religious concepts of 'good vs. evil.' The old "Nature or Nurture" argument. You have good thoughts. I'm not invested in either side of the argument. I know it's ongoing and we're seeing an example of it in this Trial. Did something/somebody make Jodi Arias a killer, or is it there some evil ingredient she carries within her that most of the rest of us lack. There a few mental health professionals on this board who could help advance the debate.

We even have symbols for it on this thread. vs.

I believe that, even among experts, there are simply too many unknowns. But most seem in agreement that there are factors from both nature and nurture that seem to come together, like the perfect storm, in most cases. There is something "wrong" in the wiring of the brain to begin with (genetic? random?) and often, life circumstances will be the catalyst for the behavior to begin and to escalate.

I think that 3/12 is the filing date. If you look on the judge's schedule, there is nothing for Jodi's case until tomorrow Maybe there is a hearing that is being scheduled. I looked on twitter to see if anything was going on and found nothing

This has been a loooooooooooooong, drawn out trial. It's killing me to have to wait until Wednesday for the testimony to start again. Many times, I've found myself imagining how different it would be if Judge Belvin Perry were presiding over this case (of course, he's in Florida, so can only be in my dreams!) but I LOVED his no nonsense approach in the courtroom. He held everyone involved, accountable. This judge is too permissive in letting the schedule get sidetracked as often as she does.

That dinger would never stop ringing! She has contradicted herself, continuously, throughout this trial.....that is why JM is having to spend so much time untangling her web of lies. She is a piece of work, for sure!

the lie detector test defense is only trying to get the test into the penalty part of the trial, not this part of the trial - it is illegal to use the test during the trial

I wonder why they would want the jury to consider something like this? Especially since we know Jodi is lying. I mean, I know she's telling bits and pieces of the truth mixed into her lies, but overall she's telling lies. It seems a polygraph would pick up on that, just as we're picking it up while she's testifying. The only way the defense would want something like this in evidence for the jury to consider, especially at the time of sentencing, is if she passed somehow...(could she be sociopathic enough to actually believe her own lies enough to pass one of these things???)

JA being a sociopath, actually did pass the poly. Doesn't that just take the cake? I heard that on one of the shows.
