This is wonderful advice; I have a 16yr old daughter, an almost 12yr old daughter, and a 17 month old boy. If you don't mind, I'm going to share this last bit with them, over and over, and I wish someone had told me the same when I was younger. My second marriage was a total rebound, and I was very naive, but whatever. Thank you for this, this is so very important, and you put it into great words. Love it!

If it was sentimental, I think Travis would have kept better care of it, not just thrown on top of a closet shelf.
Juan to the rescue! slasher lost the chance to drag TA's Dad into this mess. : ) The family had a good week in that way. Juan saved grandma for her vile ways again too. And tops it off with she didn't get to cry over her own suicide letters.
Did you ever read the court mins from 3/21/11?
Basically the judge is chewing on JM's ass for wanting a continuance, he has another case. But in that, the reason JM is fighting the date for this case ...

The Court notes Mr. Martinez?s assertion that he ?has had significant contact throughout
these proceedings with the next of kin in this case and they object to another Deputy County
Attorney being substituted to prosecute the matter and prefer the trial be continued.
    The Court
understands the victims? concern, but finds that it could have been alleviated had a substitution
been made seven months ago when this conflict first arose.

    Dear Diary,

Well, I must say that these jurors are starting to get on my nerves. I tried to be my usual peppy, happy go lucky self and look on the bright side, but I have just about had it. I'm starting to feel like I want to get stabby again. I wanted to say that today, but Nurmi felt it would be in poor taste. Considering Travis "passed away" from me getting stabby. Whatev.

I mean, really, I don't know why they keep asking me if I have memory problems. Um, I think I proved that my memory is awesome. Don't they remember all the details I gave before? So what if I have memory problems about things that make me look guilty? That is to be expected. It's part of the post traumatic stress I went under when I murdered Travis. It was no ordinary murder. Have they seen the pictures? That was very traumatic for me. I'm the real victim here. I know the domestic violence experts will testify and set them straight. I just have to put up with Fartinez until then. I really wish I could kill him. No, really. I think about it every single night.

Also, do they forget the abuse I suffered while Travis was still alive? That jizz in my eyes really stung. And, being woken up to oral sex was very irritating. I was having a very good dream and Travis completely interrupted it. The straw that broke the camels back was when he was giving me oral sex and he hadn't even shaved yet! He felt like sandpaper on my thighs. Sandpaper!!!! That is abuse NO woman should ever have to be subjected to. Is it any wonder to them that I finally fought back?

I am grateful for the long weekend. I have a lot of work to do on the autobiography I am writing. I think I am going to call it "Mortal Fear." It will be a best seller no doubt. I've only written a little bit so far. Just 2,000 pages. I've only made it to my elementary school years. I better get busy. I'd like to have it done by the time I am set free. I know the jurors will want autographed copies.

    Till next time,
    Jodi
OMG, I so virtually love you! LOL! You're a diary GENIUS, and you've got this girl PINNED! ha ha. I swear, I read it aloud to my teenage daughter, and used my "Jodi" voice that I came up with reading your entries... It was awesome! I've gotta record them and post, for fun, cuz my daughter says it's hilarious. I swear, her valley girl voice is like nails on the chalkboard, but my kid says I've got it down. Is that good or bad? lol :)

I only see 2 reasons for the license plate bs, and both of them involve turning it upside down.

    1. She wanted to make it harder to read the numbers, and even the state, in case anyone saw her fleeing the scene.

    2. She wanted to draw the attention of police, in Utah, so that she would get pulled over and have "proof" that she was in Utah, so that she could use that as part of her alibi. Oh she was with Ryan Burns and couldn't have killed Travis, look here's a police officer for proof.

I lean more towards option 1, but 2 has its merits. How much better of an alibi could you have than a police officer saying "she was in Utah, not in Mesa". I think she was betting on his roommates not finding him until the following evening, or longer (because they didn't interact much), and she won that bet. They didn't discover him for 5 days after his murder.

I'm sure Jodi figured she could explain away the dna and hair -- like she tried to -- by saying that she was at Travis' all the time, so of course she would have left dna behind. Of course, it was the bloody handprint and the pictures that tripped up her alibi. But, she thought she got rid of the pictures by "washing" the camera, and she probably didn't realize the bloody handprint or assumed they wouldn't be able to match the print to her.

I think, that without those timestamped pictures, they would've had a harder time pinning down time of death, since he went unnoticed by people in the house for 5 days. She thought she had planned it all out -- different car that wouldn't be noticed, different hair color, no receipts or video of her stopping for gas in Arizona, spending time with Ryan Burns and popping up at the convention. It's possible she thought there was little or no evidence of her being at the scene and between the cop and Ryan, she had an alibi of being in Utah, so she couldn't have killed Travis.

Clearly she isn't half as smart as she thinks she is.
I always wondered why she would have turned her plates around, too, given that it would likely call more attention to her car if seen. But your thoughts make perfect sense.

Adult porn was well on its way in to his life though. Pictures on his camera combined with his own voice telling how he was wanting to make porn on the sextape.
But that is a legal far cry from pedo porn. Makes me remember Ted Bundy and his warnings though about how porn corrupts.

I know it was very popular, but someone lent me the movie "The Secret" to watch, and I don't think I even got half-way through before turning it off. Maybe it was just me and my perception of the whole thing, but parts of it left me giggling and I don't think it was supposed to be funny. She said as much to Flores. She made some statement about how if she was in AZ during that time, wouldn't they have a record of her car going through an intersection, as if those cameras take pictures of every car that goes through an intersection.

Thanks for sharing. Glad you escaped that situation.

I had a similar experience with the man I call my ex-husband of the unholy matrimony. Like you, I told NO ONE for quite a while. Then one day I suddenly spilled it all while chatting with an old friend on myspace. I don't know why it was so empowering, but it was. It was cathartic. I filed for divorce a few months before our second anniversary and left him in my rearview mirror.

Jodi's complete lack of emotion when talking about the "abuse" is certainly telling. In addition, the fact that she was willing to drive soooo far to see Travis proves, imo, that he was not a man that she feared AT ALL. I can't imagine a battered woman who was able to move away and put 1,000 miles between her and her "abuser" turning around and going back for more of what made her feel like used toilet paper.

    She really makes me sick.

I am grateful there are psycho's that in the end provide interviews. Rare opportunities for study. And I appreciate when they confess in them. In my way of thinking, it in one way puts them a tad above the 'die denying' pieces of shit like Arias.

Her lack of emotion telling her stories is what tells me WITHOUT A DOUBT that she was NOT a victim of domestic violence. As I've mentioned here before, I was in an abusive marriage a little over 10 years ago. I was with my ex for 7 years and married for 1 year because once we got married, the abuse became 10-fold. I STILL have a hard time talking about it without getting choked up. I can do it now, it took YEARS, but still, in certain situations it's just inevitable. Hence, me folding on the Dr. Drew show. The second I was supposed to talk about it, I just couldn't. I knew I was going to break down on National TV and no way was I going to let that happen! When you are abused, the emotions are so deep, you can never forget them. You can set them aside and move on with your life, but still, they stick with you.

The only thing I do not agree with is the sharing part. I held the abuse in for years and year and it wasn't until my husband did something so inhumane to me, I couldn't hold it back any longer and just had to tell my sister. Then my whole life changed from that point on. For the better, of course!

    *deep breath*

Ok, I just shared a lot! But this is the reason I am so passionate about this case. I know there are a lot of us on this site that have been in an abusive relationship as well so I know some of you can relate. It's so maddening to watch this trial unfold with her BS claims. Ugh...I just can't wait until verdict day!
I was also abused in most every way by my ex-husband. We were married for 14 years, and had 4 sons. I would totally advocate for any other abused woman out there. Jodi Arias is NOT a representative of myself, nor IMO, Any truly abused women out there. She smiles when she talks about being abused. She has no emotion connected with her 'abuse' stories. She comes across as arrogant and anything but an abused woman. Another thing...real women are out there being abused, and they deserve help. I can see how someone who felt absolutely forced to take deadly action could do so..but 29 stab wounds? A throat slit from ear to ear? A shot in the face? No. That right there is FURY..ANGER..Not fear.. I was actually in a situation with my ex-husband when I knew he was on his way home. I had just found a meth pipe in his man-cave, and I tore it up pretty bad. I knew when he got home I was going to be beaten. I got his shotgun and tried to figure out how to load it. Fortunately I didn't. I took that crack pipe, that gun, and told the kids they had 15 minutes to grab anything they could fit in the car. I drove 3 1/2 hours away, and spared myself, my kids, and even my ex from what could have been a devastating decision. I never went back. BUT, had I figured out how to use that gun and actually made the choice to shoot him. I would be filled with such horrible remorse that I believe I would be dead right now. Shooting an abuser once..possibly understandable, but what would a true abuse victim do? They would call the police. I would have never forgiven myself. I wouldn't be able to just walk away and be ok in the head after something like that. I've tried to put myself in her head. There's just no excuse for what she did. None. Not only that, but she's spitting on his grave with the pedophile accusations. I mean, she already devastated his family, how could she do that? Jodi Arias is dangerous, and if she somehow got out, we should all be worried.
