Then once I got comfortable and accurate shooting the .22, I bought a 9mm for home defense.

Then I got a .380 for concealed carry. Less powerful than the 9mm, more powerful than the .22 or the .25, small enough frame to hide, and you can get high-quality defense ammo with features that help it do its job.

To me, .25 isn't a choice when you can have .380 -- unless it was passed down from a family member, an antique, etc. I don't believe for one second that it was Travis' gun.
I don't buy for a second that it was TA's gun either. I just wondered if when you go buy a gun, do salespeople whip out the .25 and say, oh wow, you should have this! My husband said it just doesn't even make sense that IF he had only one gun, it would be a .25 . i also wondered if my man was typical in his thoughts... usually no, so thought i would ask hahaha :)

I am similar to you. I don't like a lot of people and I'm picky about my friends. I'd rather sit at home and do my own thing than hang out with people I don't really like all that much. It's partially an introvert thing. I do have a handful of friends, but they are good friends... I honestly don't have a lot of use for acquaintances. But Travis was definitely an extrovert and a social butterfly, so yeah, he had a lot of friends and acquaintances.

But I do think that the fact that Jodi didn't really have ANY girlfriends is a red flag. I have at least two (plus my sister) that I talk to almost every day.

That's when she was studying her own suicide book of letters. The ones Nurmi had her read a second time to herself while on the stand and she pretended in front of the jury like she never read them 2 minutes ago. Same letters that were DENIED admission after all her hard efforts to cry for herself.
Nurmi tried to get past the hearsay rule but Juan pointed out how they don't qualify for the exception 'because she's still here"

i am not sure why you are making this such a problem - its a forum open to the public - i lurk there all the time - its not like the morgan thread that went private that i can't see any more - any one on the web can see and copy if they want - KCL appears to be a sweet woman who wants to share her court experience w/ every one - you said you "reported" it - if she had a problem i am sure she would have emailed mike - but they copy things from here and vice versa all the time - because the theme is justice for travis - not who wrote what first - so you did your job, she knows and told us to please enjoy her posts, so i think that should be the end of it

Not a flag to me, but then I am the same way. When younger, I pretended to be the friendly social butterfly. Called the life of the party, the one you can always depend on even.
People always thought they were closer to me than I felt to them. 'we are really tight'. I let them think that if that's what they wanted but the truth was, I let no one in close really. I listened to them, would be first to offer help for anything, first to throw them a party, comfort them. They didn't have a clue most of the time what I was really feeling or thinking. As I got older, I allowed myself to be what I always really was, a home body introvert.

I think the big difference is, WE made our choices to hold off people where Jodi did not. She was rejected.

Meh, I think I'd be mad too if I linked to a site where someone posted something with a disclaimer that it was not to be copied and pasted anywhere else, then someone followed my link and di exactly what the disclaimer says not to do. It is true that that lady was nice about it, but it was after the fact.

    hahahahahaha

The Inventory part of retail POS behind the scenes [computers], doesn 't care HOW the item is purchased. It tracks counts and returns .. how many do we have how many have we sold.
    Had 3, 1 purchased, available 2
1 returned on [insert date] available 3

I mean, what 30 year old stable (being the key word here) woman doesn't have any special bonds with childhood friends?? Or a tight group of girlfriends? The only "friends" she has are ex boyfriends that she refuses to let go of. It's very strange. If Travis really was a pedo (which we all here know that's not the case), and a terribly angry abusive man, wouldn't he have no friends and Jodi the victim would have the huge support system? That's not what I see here. I've always said I put a lot of stock in women who don't have at least one BFF girlfriend, I feel like that's a big red flag.
This is not to address Travis!
But I feel I must address this dangerous logic. NO, no, no! A molester can be in your own house, your neighbor, you clergy! They don 't advertise their secrets.
pedo's are not identified but their social status or friend counts. The couch, the boy scout leader, the school teacher .. they can all have tons of friends, be active in the community, leaders in their churches, life of the party with adults ... whatever. None of that is any guarantee of what lies in the darkness below what they chose to present.

Have I missed anything the past 2 days? I was working literally what came down to 24 hours on a demonstration project for school and tried to listen to the feed but was too distracted. I tried watching it on youtube last night and Jodi was my insomnia cure. I took adderall and drank a pot of coffee that day, so I should have been up for days like a crackhead but 20 minutes into her blabbering I zonked out.

well any gun can kill. And one doesn't have to have a gun just for 'protection'. I have a .25 that belonged to my grandpa, its sentimental, never loaded, but in a keepsake box on a shelf.
That said, what I think is applicable in this case is - Travis wouldn't have to want one for "protection" either. He could just as well want one to hang with the guys on target practice. But for whatever reason he might even want one, what I think is the a decision maker for me is ....
Travis valued others opinions for things like this. He proved that by asking his photographer roommate what camera to buy. Had Travis wanted a gun, he would have sought out the advice of his gun wise gun owner friends. You could tell slasher was about ready to make up another of her lies .. 'well it was a secret his Dad'...
But again, if Travis had a sentimental gun [Dad's] he wouldn't be hiding that from his friends imo. He would be telling that story like all his other interesting stories he told about his life.

well the jury questions were hysterical! - then yesterday, most of the day was nurmi redirect - total yawn - but go watch the last 45 mins - juan is up again and on the attack - and he is still up when court starts back - that will be very interesting - he already brought up matts post on the jodi site where he said he would lie for jodi

Saw this TA's blog ~ explains where Nurmi was trying to go with Stabby on TA supposedly game in possession of the "secret gun". It's quite a ways down in the "Introduction to Raising You" post and it's dated Monday, May 5, 2008

I remember my mother emptying a revolver on the car my father was driving and my father subsequently taking an axe to my mother’s belongings and destroying them.

Thank you! I missed it. Nurmi bored me into a nap state. I was up until 5am reading everyone's comments. WOW! Have to watch it for myself.

ETA: Who gave Jodi a 'Word of the Day' calendar? Contemporaneous.

The only thing you missed was the eruption of Vesuvius on ja's lip. It's gonna have its own zip code by Wednesday.

Seriously Juan began the systamatic dismantling of ja's lies yesterday afternoon. Next Wednesday ought to be epic.

Thanks guys! So JM came back to examine her again? For some reason I thought he was done. How does that work?

The jury asked some pretty good questions. From what I did catch, the Judge seemed to get pretty snarky with Jodi and her bullshit.

I love how every time Martinez is questioning Jodi, stupid Palin can't pokerface and always has an "Oh shit" look.

My boyfriend was watching it on HLN since I got him hooked and he was like, "WHAT THE FUCK IS ON HER FACE?!" I didn't get a chance to really look, but seeing it now, yeah...that's like having a huge zit on school picture day. I'd almost feel sorry for her if she wasn't on trial for murder.

I bet Donovan gave it to her.

    hi Doll-Face,
that's mine, sorry I don't have a techno clue why it won't play for you, it plays for me with ie. Just let it start itself is all I did. Someone said for them, don't click anything.
Maybe it seems like it isn't starting when it really is? It has long pauses (time to the pictures times). Again I apologize, its the best this unskilled ol fool could figure out how to do, I don't have any of that youtube. FB business.
