Her claims of so-called pedo issues surfaced 2 years after her arrest. When will he do that? She has a sex offender lawyer who just wants to talk about sex issues. Will JM also highlight the fact there were forged letters that were thrown out?

On almost every morning, as they have done for weeks and weeks, attending various hearings and now the trial, they get up just like we all do, put themselves together and prepare to leave the house. What do they think, what do they say to each just before going out that front door? I know what I'd think and say. "Let's go get our brother back from that bitch." For the next five days, they'll have the blessed relief of not having to say that. And maybe on Wednesday, they'll finally get him back. Know what I mean?

That's awesome, Ian 1. Totally know what you mean. I think of his family a ton and I hope Juan was able to give them a little bit of peace throughout their long weekend. I read on WS that they were very excited yesterday afternoon as they left the courthouse. They deserve to have that feeling so that made me smile quite a bit.

The strength,dignity and class they have shown throughout this ordeal is a testament to TA and the love they have for him. I don't think I could show the same restraint they have shown.

It is my fervent hope that this family gets the justice they so rightly seek!

Yes! A .25 is worthless, unless u plan on shooting pigeons at close range. It is redonkulous that he would have that type of gun for home protection..

I don't think the gas cans mean much in the whole story. It makes no sense why she would fill the gas cans back up on 6/6. We know from the evidence, she filled those gas cans up at least 2 times. She filled them up on the 3rd and then again on the 6th. The 3rd makes sense if the state is saying it was a plan-but it makes NO sense for the 6th. Now, on the 6th- that was the cheapest she paid for gas during her whole trip @ $3.85 a gallon. I guess some could say she used them to fill her car up between SLC and Redding. That doesn't make sense because she stopped later and filled her car up again. She also filled it up again the next day in Redding before returning the car.

At this point, I think she was just an idiot that drove around with a powder keg in her trunk. After all, she is the same idiot that used her debit card to go kill somebody.

I did the trip this morning on maps. It's amazing the amount of driving she did to murder him. This is the map I made. The place markers are the places she stopped.

I think thee pink outline is the route she actually took and the blue is the rout actually suggested by Google maps but keep in mind she says she used MapQuest so I don't know if suggested routes are the same

I have seen a few comments about her being familiar with the "Flying J" and being able to shower there, isn't that one of the places that shows up on her bank statement? It stood out to me because I was wondering what she could have spend $49 for while she was there

I don't think the issue is why she filled up the cans again in SLC. The issue is that she told the jury she returned one of the cans to Walmart.

By all accounts (except ja) Travis was a special guy who had the rare ability to make lasting friendships with most everyone he met. You know family and friends grieve for him every day. Such a young promising life snuffed out just because stabby couldn't have him.

The only real joy I receive from watching the trial and lurking here is knowing that Juan has made it personal to restore the reputation of Travis.

I agree. I think it speaks volumes to the testament of his character and how he was as a person that he had great relationships with a ton of people, and lots of people love him. Jodi, on the other hand, I think it speaks volumes to hers that she has no girlfriends. I mean, what 30 year old stable (being the key word here) woman doesn't have any special bonds with childhood friends?? Or a tight group of girlfriends? The only "friends" she has are ex boyfriends that she refuses to let go of. It's very strange. If Travis really was a pedo (which we all here know that's not the case), and a terribly angry abusive man, wouldn't he have no friends and Jodi the victim would have the huge support system? That's not what I see here. I've always said I put a lot of stock in women who don't have at least one BFF girlfriend, I feel like that's a big red flag.

I know I'm delayed in replying to this topic, but I'm just catching up from yesterday. I actually met this woman when I was there a few weeks ago. She is definitely a hoot. She got interviewed by a local news station and said she told them she was there because she was interested in all of the people that actually make time to attend the trial (aka: all of us that were hanging with her). It was like 'uhhhhh...huh???' LOL. She was very entertaining. It made me chuckle yesterday when I spotted her in the gallery. (no pun intended )

Yes, that was a hell of a ridiculous drive. It might've made sense to drive to Ryan if Travis was on the way, but he was not. She drove like 1,000 miles to get to Travis, then 700-some miles to Ryan, then another 700 from Ryan back to her home in Yreka.

Kinda funny that she traveled in a circle though, just like she does in her testimony on the stand. Maybe she is just completely incapable of getting from Point A to Point B, physically or mentally.

The pink line is the route she actually took. IMHO, it was premeditated and she took that route so that she would go through Vegas. It would make a lot more sense for her to go through Vegas if she never went to Mesa.

Um, I can't say I have a BFF girlfriend. I am semi close to my sister and I have girlfriends that I am semi close to. I don't trust people very easy and I have a huge wall up. The only person who I am really close with is my husband and even that took YEARS. I'm very friendly and have a lot of acquaintances but I tend to not get close to people. Not sure if that is a red flag and automatically makes me unstable.

How could you hurt someone you love in any way and then go on to rest peacefully?

About a week or two ago I stabbed my bf in the eye on accident with my finger (I had went to poke him in the forehead, jokingly. I missed)! Iit wasn't just any old eye poke either.. my finger went almost 2" in at least (seemed ALL the way to me!!), between his eyeball and the part closest to his nose(?), some fancy name I cant recall. *** Cut to 10 min later when he finally stood up, blood streaming out his eye and all down his face... it was TERRIFYING to see something I had done caused that to someone I love! I have bad dreams about it and not slept right since. How on Earth could you butcher someone you "love" and feel NOTHING!? Just carry on like everything is fine, and sleep like a baby!!??

*** Wanted to add this, also. For the people who still think someone so small couldn't overcome someone so large lemme give a little perspective on that, not the same exact scenario, but a kinda similar one. My other half is 6'4" and weighs a good 250lbs... I'm 5'4" (on a good day, lol) and weigh about 115. The poke to the eye caught him completely off guard (much like the knife wound/gun shot wound surely would have) and he dropped, like a ton of bricks, unable to catch his breath, and didn't move for a good ten minutes... not even to roll over and lemme see his dang eye. He just went completely limp (with shock, I think?) and curled into the fetal position cupping his head. I could have killed him 5x over, after that, if that had been my intention. I can clearly see how she could have gotten enough control of the situation to inflict so much damage, at least initially, if she had struck first and left him in shock and disbelief like that.

As for the dragging part, I had to drag said 6'4" 250lb bf upright (so that I get a look at his eye) and then that same very uncooperative bf outside to our truck to get him to the hospital. it was hard, and I hope I never have to drag him anywhere like that again, but it IS possible. I have 100% faith that if he were, god forbid, wet and naked and bleeding all over that I could drag him down a tile hallway. Not easily, but not as hard as some people would like to think, either. Maybe he will let me experiment, lol, I think I am gonna ask him =)

JA bought a 9mm for the camping trip she was going to be taking with a lot of men.

I had never shot before, so the first firearm I bought was a .22LR for target practice. Of course, at that time .22LR ammo was super-cheap and plentiful.

Then once I got comfortable and accurate shooting the .22, I bought a 9mm for home defense.

Then I got a .380 for concealed carry. Less powerful than the 9mm, more powerful than the .22 or the .25, small enough frame to hide, and you can get high-quality defense ammo with features that help it do its job.

To me, .25 isn't a choice when you can have .380 -- unless it was passed down from a family member, an antique, etc. I don't believe for one second that it was Travis' gun.
