I didn't say RAGE is part of a personality disorder . I meant RAGE on top of personality disorders. The actual act of murdering him was a psychotic break. I believe she would not have murdered him if he had agreed to take her to Cancun. Her trip to see him was to try and convince him to do so....If he said , YES , He would have lived....but He said, NO. I won't . It was then that she decided to slaughter him.... Still premeditated murder no doubt. The bottom line being ....if she got what she wanted , Travis lived ( especially after the 2 hour sex fest). She thought that would melt him. It did not. When he said, NO, her mission to kill began. YOU WILL TAKE ME OR NO ONE? I JUST GAVE U MY BODY AGAIN.

He was already dead or dying when she dumped him in the shower.

See the empty shower stall with blood and other fluids after his body was removed from crime scene. Also apparently she dragged his body to the shower on top of sheet. There is no reason that a murderer would put a body into a shower or bathtub unless they wanted to wash off evidence. Common Sense

RE: the drive from LA to Mesa... it's not scary at all. It's mostly desert, but there are tons of gas stations along the way. It's a straight shot down the I-10, a major interstate. I've driven it many times, and so had Jodi when she was living in palm springs and coming to Mesa to visit Travis. The drive to Vegas is a lot dicier.

    Hear Hear!

There's absolutely no gas in the 55 miles on the 15 between Barstow and Baker.
There is no desolation between LA and Phoenix; gas is all over the place.

thats what i remember - and theres also always a stucky's w/ in a 100 miles - and there are a lot of places to get gas going to vegas too - i drive out that way thru palm desert thru arizona to texas at least once a year since i was 10yrs old - never once was there a worry about running out of gas - the only scary moment was when we ended up in new mexico on fourth of july, i guess in a famous town - famous for drunk native americans - every one in in town was driving around drunk shooting guns - we just hid in a hotel for the night - but there were still plenty of open gas stations

There's gas in Blythe, then again about 5 miles later at Exit 5, then Quartzite is about 12 miles later - gas there. Then you probably aren't going to see another gas station for about 100 miles but if you gassed up at any of the previous gas stations you are fine.

yep - and i know its dumb - but she keeps saying the wrong hwys all the time - like saying she was taking the 60 to arizona one time - its just irritating - she just thinks she knows it all and is a "right fighter" - but which is prolly why she will be found guilty - so i guess its good

One question the Jurors need to ask: Why did you slit his throat to the bone, almost decapitating him if you had shot him first and stabbed him repeatedly? Why the overkill?
She is fascinating and horrifying at the same time, one reason this case is so addictive. Slitting his throat? That was pure rage, nothing else.

Thanks! But I'm actually only in school all day on Mondays so that's the only day I can't watch. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm home during the day. I'm a photographer too but that only affects weekends mainly. I can't completely watch during the day because I have 2 - 4 year olds at home who parrot everything and I'm afraid they will start quoting Jodi. (plus I can't stand listening to her constant lies so I'm waiting for her to get off the stage lol

I wonder if it's any coincidence that Nurmi makes a living as an attorney in a sex crime practice which would explain her defense. She had no defense until Nurmi with his sick mind came along and turned this murder mne trial into a sex crime trial. This entire defense is fabricated based on his sex crime experience. There is no self defense. All lies. I'm sick of this arrogant bitch. Sick of "Poor Jodi the victim" angle. Travis will have his justice, I believe.

or thats the reason he became a sex offender atty - maybe looking at it from, what if jodi made these claims while travis was still alive - innocent and accused of something that horrific?

Agree completely. This is a diabolical and very intelligent woman.... Also I find it so fascinating that she has an answer to every question. She cries looking at the crime scene photos of Travis but lies thru her tears. She answers the Jury questions with ease. She says what I did was wrong...but I had to do what I did because he was a threat to me. So why all the preparation for the trip? Why the throat slit? Why 29 stabbings? Why? Why? The Jury questions are great and insightful....I think they are repeating the same questions to see if she will slip up. Good Luck. She won't on any major level. Perhaps Arias has a photographic memory. This would certainly aid her in keeping track of her story. Will there be professionals taking the stand for the Prosecution with a diagnosis? What is next after the jury?

I cannot wait until we no longer have to hear Jodi's voice anymore. I am going to REJOICE when we get to that point of this trial.

I will also rejoice when the defense DV expert and psychologist get cross-examined by Juan. That will be good. I will make sure I have plenty of fresh, hot, buttery popcorn for that!

And Juan's closing .... that is going to be a thing of beauty to behold. He is going to tell us a wonderful story that will tie up all the loose ends.

I posted this a while ago, but I would encourage people to read it - its the closing arguments in the David Westerfield trial (he is the creep who abducted and murdered his 7yo neighbor Danielle Van Dam from her parent's home while they were sleeping). That trial lasted 31 days and the state had to connect a lot of pieces of trace evidence along with his travels over the weekend she disappeared. It was a very complicated story. If you read the prosecutor's closing arguments in this case, you will see just how much complexity and detail are in them - and how it paints such a vivid picture of the defendant's guilt.

It inspires me to imagine what Juan will do with Jodi.

On this link: http://www.unposted.com/trial/Day_28...gust_6th_2002/ - click on the 2nd link to the right which says closing arguments next to it. That is the start of the prosecutor's closing arguments. You can also read the jury instruction there too - they are pretty long and boring, but this was a death penalty case as well, so it paints a picture of how the jury is advised in such a case.

http://youtu.be/36hTqMtzLQQ http://youtu.be/VIsCVcOy11kAnd, I stumbled upon some videos of Travis shortly before he was killed, joking and having a good time. He was doing the chicken dance in one, and you can actually see Jodi run across the screen at 27 seconds and come back with her camera :/ Really gives you an idea of who he was. A fun-loving guy, it seems as though everyone he came in contact with liked him. Very sad to watch those videos and see his love for life. Not painting him as a saint, but he seemed like a genuine and fun guy.

I'm not from that area but have visited a few times...I remember driving across Death Valley once watching my gas gauge drop lower and lower w/no gas stations in sight. I was so scared! Then finally one appeared. That experience has stuck with me ever since so that's why I could sort of relate to what she was saying. Of course like I said I'm not from around there so I'll defer to those of you who are.

There are actually links. (I thought it was one at first too) Click the second one and you'll see her run past about 25 seconds in and then you see her taking pictures at about 1:29

What?! In the chicken dance video you can clearly see jodi from 25-33 seconds, she's very hard to miss with the long platinum hair and well, it's fuzzy but that's her face, too.

    Travis : Genuine

I think Travis was a genuine person except when it came to Jodi. Jodi seduced him into kinky sex which of course, he loved. Most men would. This was her control over him. The fact that he kept their relationship a secret from his friends after they broke up, speaks volumes. He was addicted to her. He was IN-LUST with her ( not in love) She was IN-LOVE with him. Big difference. This difference when you are dating a sociopath/narcissist/ borderline or all of the above is huge. Travis wanted his cake and to eat it too. He played with fire and DID use her sexually. He had no intention of marrying her as the evidence from friends show. He let his desires get the best of him, ignoring all red flags, ignoring all friends warnings. etc. He was addicted and naive. He wanted pleasure instead of the truth his friends observed and warned him about.

I did say videos, if I could edit I would. Some are speculating that that's the very day he met Jodi, but I read that it was shot in 2008.

Ok, I saw it in the second one!

She is such a creepy freak! I wish he would have found a nice non-crazy-psychopath!!!!! Like one of the girls doing the chicken dance.

God I hope Juan gets a guilty verdict
