Jodi Ann Arias shot and stabbed her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander to death

Eh, I don't know that even if a juror believes that Travis may have picked up the camera, that it really means anything. Nothing good for Jodi anyways, in that, a man chasing her with a camera had at least one of his hands occupied and thus not free to throttle her with.

If he was going to beat her, why stop and pick up the camera anyways.

Frankly, I'm getting confused about the whole camera/bathroom thing now.

At first, she ran through the bathroom door into the closet and locked it behind her (and this was just a couple weeks ago), started for the bedroom door, then went back, remembering that there was a gun on the shelf, grabbed the gun, and ran out the OTHER door, the bedroom door, where Travis was waiting.

Now, her story is that after being tackled by a "linebacker" Travis, she jumped up, and ran DOWN THE HALL, not the bathroom door, the nearest door. And then, instead of running out the hall and down the stairs, she ran INTO the bedroom and then into the closet, LEAPED up like Air Jordan (Air Jodi) and grabbed the fully-loaded, chambered and safety-free gun. All the while, wet, naked Travis is running down the tile hall floor and into the bedroom behind Jodi.

She can't even stay consistent with her lies from her own defense appearance on the stand a week or two ago.

I think the jury question could be as simply as having seen her with 2 very different versions of the story so far, and trying to catch her in a third.

Surely, the jury knows that all of that could not have happened from the time Travis was last alive, until she was dragging his dead body, 90 seconds later.

Not necessarily? What if that is the juror's version of "so did the camera grow legs and that is how those other pictures of you dragging Travis were shot"? Then it would be not sympathetic at all.

If the second story was the case, then why on earth would she ever have gone for the gun (in her story about how things unfolded)?!?!? She was going to threaten him with a gun she and he both KNEW was not loaded?!?!? What the hell kind of threat is that? Unless she was going to throw it at his head or bludgeon him with it. Why would she think she could "scare" Travis by pointing an unloaded gun at him while he was in an alleged murderous rage?? Nonsensical.

Everytime she speaks, she contradicts herself.

Yep. She also said that ALL of the ammunition was in the gun -- to explain where there was no box of ammo found for the gun that supposedly belonged to Travis.

So, if she thought the gun was unloaded, and there was no ammo box around, why would you bother grabbing the gun -- which again, you think is unloaded?

Very interesting points from both posters. I agree that Arias has narcissistic traits but ultimately she was goal focused. Everyone can see through her lies. Her lies were just a means of covering up - coldly achieving her goal.

With Travis, her goal was marriage. She didn't give a damn about social rejection or being humiliated by chasing an emotionally uninterested guy. What triggered her murderous rage was not getting her own way. She snapped when the prize moved on. I have seen no sign of genuine remorse from her - she lost everything, according to her own words. She didn't fit in and she knew it. Status is important to narcissists. Arias was a source of ridicule but that didn't make her snap. Humiliation didn't make her snap. Cancun did. Game over for her.

Also, this kind of makeup is pretty pricey. And not something the average woman has on hand. I used to be a makeup artist in Vegas, and only had to use it once to cover up one of the dancer's meth pocs.

I tried Dermablend to cover the tattoo on my chest for a formal event. I had to buy it at a department store because it's really important to get the correct color (or it's going to be sooo very obvious you're covering something). The last time I bought some, I had to check several stores because it's not something everyone carries and that was probably around 2006 or 2007, so I doubt Jodi would have had access in her little town. I had to go check and the little tube of concealer that I have is $22, which I wouldn't consider super expensive.

Not that it matters that much, really, since Jodi was most likely lying about this, too.

I loved the jury questions that I heard today. I think the jury isn't buying what Jodi is selling. I give them props because they've been paying attention so much more than I would be able to if I were one of them.

So sorry to hear that and yes I do agree that certain circumstances would be considered in "God's" judgement of the reasons for suicide. I am not so sure that her reasoning makes any sense.. besides why did she fear for her life so strongly that day only to consider taking her own life after the fact.

Thank you. And I know you are referring to Jodi, in this case, in a whole different light. If someone takes their life because they just don't want to deal with consequences that are unpleasant.....that is different than someone who takes their life due to a mental illness like Major Depressive Disorder or Bi-Polar, etc. That is the difference that the churces recognize, today. Even after so many years, suicide is still such a tough subject for me. And, to hear Jodi talk about it so lightly....honestly, I think she makes a mockery of mental illness as much as she does for battered and abused women all over the globe.

Exactly. Jodi really doesn't know whether he was chasing her or not, according to her testimony. She just can't make me believe this was self defense, nor that she "feared for her life." A juror asked her why she went into the closet instead of turning left and running out the door, and she once again told of that previous time when Travis caught her at the end of the hallway, right at the bedroom door. At that time, she told everyone he grabbed her arm, but then he HUGGED her!! So what the hell was she afraid of on June 4th? A killer hug? I'm flabbergasted that she keeps alluding to this particular incident, and yet she wasn't hurt at that time, so she had no reason to fear for herself this time.

Of course, add to that the fact that he didn't actually threaten her life on June 4 until AFTER she shot him. That piece of testimony really hurts her self defense. I can't stop thinking about how dumb she is for saying that...but it's out there and she can't take it back.

And, if it happened as she said (and we all know it didn't!).....wouldn't he have been dripping a stream of blood on top of her as he tackled her down to the floor? I mean, she claimed they landed over in the corner area of the bathroom....but there wasn't much blood found there, if I recall. And she said she did not see any blood, at all. Kind of inconsistent with a shot to the forehead?!
