Actually when I lived in AZ I accidentally called 911. They called right back and I explained what happened but they didn't send a policeman out. I'm not sure why they didn't. My husband was actually upset that they didn't because what if something really was wrong and I had been told to lie and say it was an accident. But from what I've heard that is not the norm and they usually always send someone out.

THIS was my point weeks ago when I heard her. WHY Martinez DID not call a ballistics expert to prove her testimony could not happen. OH, the camera. He hammered her about how the camera got moved. She had it on her body when she was dragging him! She picked it up. What a liar!

Ok...site is slow...I think...first off...she may have no dx. Second, the reason why..despite my profession...this is personal..I don't believe she is a sociopath is because I have carry the diagnosis. I am a fully functioning human. I have a kid and a great job. I can tell you all one thing...if I were to EVER do something like this...you could never tell I was lying.

Yes, she said it was Bobby, in a long ago incident.

However, even if you buy that the incident happened (I don't), it is nonsensical to then say... so 10 years later when I was being chased by a boyfriend I feared would kill me, I refused to call 911 because years ago when I did so, my then boyfriend hung up before I could complete the call, and then told the operator the call was an accident when the 911 operator called back.

Yep. That's a sympathetic juror allright. Not enough to get her convicted but could end up w/hung jury, IF that juror ends up one of the 12...

He can't call anyone while she's testifying!
He has to wait until rebuttal, but before that, Nurmi has more witnesses.

why would they call a ballistic expert when they don't have a gun to compare it too??? they already had the ME say the angle at there was no stiplling so she had to be 2 to 3 feet away - which already doesn't match her story - and i am sure he will say it again in his rebuttal and closing

Also, great question about why would she go for a gun she thought wasn't loaded and knew HE KNEW wasn't loaded. Bingo bango.

"I was always told never to point guns at anyone, loaded or not, and thought he would react the same way". Dumbass.
Wow, lookey there. Jodi KNEW never to point a gun at anyone, loaded or not. Hmmm. Yep, keep talking Jodi, you're doing a great job

Snarky indeed. But do you really like these better than "what is your definition of the word skank?" and "were you mad at Travis while you were stabbing him?" I love these people!!

Not all psychopath's are killers. Just like not all killers are psychopaths.

    She exhibits the following:

    Factor 1: Personality "Aggressive narcissism

    Glibness/superficial charm
    Grandiose sense of self-worth
    Pathological lying
    Conning/manipulative
    Lack of remorse or guilt
Shallow affect (genuine emotion is short-lived and egocentric)
    Callousness; lack of empathy
Failure to accept responsibility for own actions
Factor 2: Case history "Socially deviant lifestyle".

    Need for stimulation/proneness to boredom
    Parasitic lifestyle
    Poor behavioral control
    Lack of realistic long-term goals
    Impulsivity
    Irresponsibility
    Juvenile delinquency
    Early behavior problems

Traits not correlated with either factor

    Promiscuous sexual behavior
    Many short-term (marital) relationships
    Criminal versatility
Acquired behavioural sociopathy/sociological conditioning (Item 21: a newly identified trait i.e., a person relying on sociological strategies and tricks to deceive)

Not necessarily? What if that is the juror's version of "so did the camera grow legs and that is how those other pictures of you dragging Travis were shot"? Then it would be not sympathetic at all.

Yes! I actually heard on the radio the other day about a kid who called 911 because his mom was trying to make him go to bed and he didn't want to. The police called back and the mom explained and tried to put the kid on the phone to get a lecture and they told her they had to send an officer out anyway. The mom said she understood and the kid got an in-person lecture on why you can't just call 911 for no reason. The whole thing was recorded and went viral.

Good point by JVC caller. Most people who own guns don't leave them loaded -- though she had to say that it was because there was no ammo found. But, the caller was mentioning that you don't just pick up a gun and fire. You have to chamber a round and take the safety off.

So, to believe Jodi, we have to believe Travis had a loaded gun, with a round chambered and the safety off, just sitting around in the closet.

Oh, and it may or may not have been in a holster.

It was the manner in which the question was asked, particularly where they said, "...and could this explain the delay while you were getting the gun?"

In my opinion, it was as if the person were trying to hand her an excuse...

I disagree that most people who own guns don't keep them loaded. If an intruder breaks into your house, you don't want to worry about loading the gun.

Totally agree with the rest of your post though...

A flushed Jodi from beginning to end of the day. I wonder what state she would be in if she hadn't been allowed to view jury questions, pity we'll never get to see it.

It's actually frightening how someone like her continuously lies, then expands on that lie when asked by the very people who's hands her life is in. Apart from being mentally challenged to the nth degree, she's relatively clever. But she doesn't seem to be grasping the jury probably expected these answers from her. Aw jeez, after jury questions it's back to the drone again.
It is scary how glib she is. She has an answer for everything.

Yes, it couldn't POSSIBLY be that the people are smart enough to catch her BS without watching Nancy Grace...

Didn't Jodi previously say she thought the gun DID have bullets in it? Either on original direct or on cross?

And then today, didn't she say she thought the gun DID NOT have bullets in it? Because Travis told her so?

If the second story was the case, then why on earth would she ever have gone for the gun (in her story about how things unfolded)?!?!? She was going to threaten him with a gun she and he both KNEW was not loaded?!?!? What the hell kind of threat is that? Unless she was going to throw it at his head or bludgeon him with it. Why would she think she could "scare" Travis by pointing an unloaded gun at him while he was in an alleged murderous rage?? Nonsensical.
