I was never worried about that part. First, it's a constitutional right and as much as she sickens me, I support our rights.
But mostly because she can't function off her own OLD scripts she's locked into memorizing, so I know she will just keep repeating them. Even when the question doesn't fit them, she rambles to get to them.

I think we're seeing a very sick person with some pretty serious mental illness being allowed to speak freely in the spotlight. Her narcissitic, delusional, attention-deprived mind is on full display.

You could always go to the gallery and put a kitchen knife through a few of her canvases.

Sadly, if she gets death penalty she will live for years and years, torturing TA's family through the appeals process. AZ has three women on death row. One has been there 23 yrs.
I think she is a psychopath. She shows no empathy for pain other than her own. Her interview with Detective Flores chilled me to the bone. The way she used that sickening little girl lost act, trying to manipulate him, was damning. Luckily, she is dumb and the detective smart but she tried hard to plead to his protective side. During that same interview she showed a macabre desire to see her gruesome handiwork (crime scene pics). She could barely contain her interest in the details. The horrifying part is that she wanted to know for reasons beyond just covering her back.

They dont believe her and just for bringing up the pedo, I best they give her DP and my heart is beating out of my chest, Once gain, like 48 hrs and the Dicktective, she thinks she can outsmart them. I didn?t like this at all. Also, TA?s family had a field day with the eye rolling, head shaking and mouth moving. They were looking right at the Jury. MY only hope is, yes? she had the same kind of confrontations with ex?s.. Like, why or whatever did you do this etc but she didnt kill them or become violent. I can just weep over how bad this was for her. I agree with another commenter here, I hope the questions were from 1 or 2 people only.

Read Hannah Arendt on the Eichmann Trial. Pay special attention to her comments on the "Banality of Evil." Does that ever apply to Jodi Ann Arias. Common, garden variety, everyday, 'evil.' Nothing redeeming about it.

When Martinez was cross examining her at the end when she was supposedly sobbing with her hand over her face she can be seen PEEKING through her fingers at the picture of Travis stabbed to death. Made me ill!

I'm with you, MDS. The state has to prove PREMEDITATION beyond a reasonable doubt to get Murder 1 (I looked up the AZ statute online to get the definition of Murder 1) And as much as I hate to say it I think Nurmi poked a lot of holes in Martinez's evidence/theories for premeditation yesterday.

Why is this a big deal? The maximum sentence for Murder 2 in AZ is 22 years. Do the math, she's already served 4 1/2. She could be out in her 50s. I'm worried.

Funny you mention that, I just finished reading a couple of books on Eichmann and his trial. That comment is so spot on!

That is actually spot on. I hadn't even thought of that comparison. Good call!

Let's not forget that Martinez gets to put on a rebuttal case. He'll clean up what he needs to!

    Okay, now look up premeditation.

Can you tell us which points Nurmi made that poked holes in the premeditation element?
I heard him TRY to do this but his points seemed to be helping the prosecution more than hurt it - especially in regard to the gas cans, renting of car in Redding, the gun, etc...

You missed the best part Bat! John Dixon is going to immolize her talents in his gallery next to Monet and Van Gogh.

by tomorrow she'll have Mother Teresa getting her room at the Vatican.
Maybe we'll find out Matt has connections at the Sistine Chapel.

Can we please discuss how Stabby's art was going to hang in an Art Gallery in between Van Gogh's and Monet's?

If that doesn't say anything about her narcissism then I don't know what does! Her delusions run deep

Yes! I saw that too. Creepy. She used the Adams Family like wall of hair or peeking through her fingers to gawp at photos. Sometimes, it looked eerily like show was smiling beneath the fake tears. This woman is terrifyingly evil.

OMG - she gets another day on the stand. Are you they really believing her?? The more she talks, the more I can't stand her.
