Chillingly similar to that last, haunting look Travis Alexander gave into the lens of his murderer's camera. He looks alarmed in that final shot (seemingly before the attack)like he is trying to process something Arias has just said or done. He doesn't look comfortable in any of the shower poses - like they are forced or ordered.

In short: no. Research suggests that 'repressed memories' don't exist. On the contrary, during trauma or arousal (i.e an emotional arousing event such as killing someone), memories are likely to be clearer than every day memores; traumatic or emotional memories are 'over consolidated' or more hard wired into the memory networks in the brain than 'everyday' memories. This is one of the reasons why people develop post-traumatic stress disorder and have 'flashbacks' of bad memories when they have experienced trauma.

Having said that, it is theoretically possible that a short period of amnesia (such as described by Jodi) might be induced by a seizure or other neurological event. However, assuming she has no neurological history, it's highly unlikely she was having a seizure, and she likely would not be able to drive during a seizure in any case.

Only it was me lying with my head on my late wife's lap just a few months before we married. A dear friend in the group took it to capture the moment. It was a candid shot and we didn't know she was taking it. We lasted that whole fifty years 'till she passed away just three years ago. She gave me a life and a love that I could never believe I would ever have or deserve. The snapshot sits in a frame on a shelf in our place in Palm Springs and is the first thing anyone sees when they come through the door. Because it's there--she's there. It keeps the moment and the love alive. Contrast that with what Travis's loved ones will feel if they ever see this video. Never forget to be grateful.

I agree. I bet THAT is the look everyone sees in his eyes in that final pic of him, him pleading with her with the best part of him he had, his heart =(

Question Jodi? Are you a woman or a female impersonator?

That's a beautiful love story Ian. I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear wife but so happy you had 50 beautiful years with her, you are very fortunate. Not everyone finds a love like that.

2010 Research finds repressed memories don't exist

Editor's Note: (September 27) Following a complaint, ABC News agreed this story lacked balance. There continues to be controversy among relevant experts over recovered memory, and a response from those who support the theory should have been sought. The report also incorrectly stated that Professor Richard McNally had provided a "briefing to the US Supreme Court".

Seeing that video from Dr. Drew and how she was acting like a child and accusing Travis being a pedo makes me think that maybe she was sexually abused as a child

I think that is an act. If she was abused, why does she only dream up a wooden spoon and being grounded to try and safe her life? A lot of people are abused, they don't grow up to butcher people though. Worth listening to, this forensic psych says JA is faking it .... "malingering" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57EcCWUFZYo

Since there is no court on Monday and Tuesday, don't you think the judge should go to 5 for the next 2 days and do half day on Friday to move things along? These jurors have got to be at their wits end. I'm sure they would agree to do Friday's until it wraps up!

I love all the juror question submissions. I promise to get them into the list at some point.
I am still very sick today...fever is 101.2. Ugh. Sorry to keep complaining, but I really feel like crap. :(

Did I read correctly that there is no court on Monday and Tuesday? Does anyone know why?
Today is going to be a short day as well. Meh.

Thanks to both of you. That's as far as I'll go into projecting my deepest personal experiences directly into this thread. I like to think that whatever I've gone through, I've learned from and it's the lessons learned that should be at the forefront. You can understand, however, why the tragedy of Travis Alexander resonates with me to the extent that it does. From the time of that video, Travis Alexander should have had gone on to enjoy what I did in a pretty long life. In fact, the video shows he had the appearance of starting out on that journey but he never got to the promised ending. Right there, at the start, we see Travis is being lied to by somebody who had set out in a different direction and had a different 'goal' in mind. Travis Alexander was monumentally deceived by Ms. Jodi Ann Arias. We can understand Travis not being prepared for what she was doing to him. We can't understand Jodi being so well prepared to do it. Where did she learn this stuff?

    again to both of you.

Just watching some replay of yesterday's testimiony. I hope the jurors caught this big slip up!

Nurmi asked her did she run into the closet to retrieve the gun. She said it only dawned on her, remembered that the gun was there after she was in the closet and slammed the door. He later asked her if she thought of running down the stairs to escape, and she said no, that she couldn't out run him. So, she didn't run into the closet to get the gun, she ran in there because she thought she'd have a better chance of escaping him by running in circles!

IIRC - It was decided in court that testimony would conclude at 4:30 so ja could return to jail so she didn't miss dinner. Poor thing

Sooo.. I'm having a major bout of insomnia...
...and since I see that Jodi's detective hasn't logged on here in over two months... I feel like I don't really have to censor myself so...

Within my virtual hibernation I mostly lurked here because.. 1) One of Jodi's detectives contacted me.. By phone and leaving a business card in my front door. *holy shit! What??!* 2) Little Miss Muffett herself called me to verify said Detective visit/phone interview and 3) Media started contacting me.

This thread moves so fast now I don't have much to worry about!

So I guess, "hiiiiiiieeeee again" to those who remember me..

Also.. Whenever I eventually sleep and then wake back up... I have a few, goodies for those whom might be interested... PM and I'll get back to you whilst not in a zombie state.

Here's my recap from yesterday. Finally, my net works again.

    ‎3/‎5/‎13
    Morning
Jodi is wearing some weird green shirt with stripes. She has about 10 bangs hanging down today. She should try wearing a little color.

Jodi is still on the stand. Nurmi is still up at redirect.
EX 456- Jan 24 diary entry.

EX 511- more diary entries. Objection from State
JM is asking Jodi questions about the diary entries and the dates she wrote them. (I'm not sure why these stupid diary entries are important)

    Approach (Judge)

    EX 511 admitted-
Nurmi is bringing up EX 456 and how it says she has nothing important to report. Now she's explaining why she wrote that. She wouldn't want to write Travis was a pedo because it was negative.
What time of day was Travis jacking off? She didn't check her watch. (Nurmi said that)

EX 511- She loves Travis-Loves, loves, loves him. She almost haunted by it. She can't marry Travis. He has problems. They have discussed marriage. Travis proposed to Jodi once over the phone. Jodi didn't think he was a family man. Travis considered Jodi the wife lottery. Jodi's goal was to be married. Travis was cheating on her. Jodi talks about ripping out pages in her diary.

    EX 471 diary entries.

EX 512-admitted- diary entries. She wants to turn back the clock and make different decisions. She was concerned about seperating from Travis and leaving him to his own vices. Jodi needs to remember to breath deeply and flow (yeah, what the hell)

Hottie Biscotti- (A long story) but basically Jodi calls all guys that.
Travis and his nickname T-Dogg- It was Travis' nickname. Jodi did not give him that nickname. (Jodi doesn't know how he got the nickname-Probably the one thing she doesn't know about Travis)
Travis' grandmother and the Iris'- Why did you send them to his grandmother? The only member of his family that Jodi ever met. Jodi felt like she should reach out. Jodi felt really awful about what happened. Jodi knew Travis' grandmother was important to him.
Jodi was fixing to go into a long story-JM objected

    Approach (judge)

Jury has to leave for 5 minutes. Judge left the bench.

Jodi is back on the stand. Jury comes back in.

Jodi knew Travis' grandmother was important to him.

Violence with Travis-Banging his head against the wall. Travis also hit Jodi's car. Explain? May 2007- they spent 2 days at Disneyland. (oh shit, she's talking about gridlock in traffic) and Travis started to cuss because of the traffic. Road rage. Jodi was not scared. She was shocked.
    Any other violence? *
    My INTERNET CUT OFF.

Now I am typing my notes from HLN. Wow, they are far behind the live feed. Don't know what happened with my net, but it is gone. We are supposed to get a huge snowstorm, but so far, just plenty of sunshine.

Any other violence? She can't think of any.
Violence against Jodi? Sex and rape when she was asleep. Jodi says it was a mistake.
When he bent you over the desk? Was that a mistake? NO, Jodi was fine with it.
It was better than his anger.

The robbery at Jodi's grandparents- a handgun was stolen. Jodi had access to other guns. Matt, OG, and her father has guns. Matt had unregistered guns. Jodi's dad had a couple of guns. (She sure knows a lot about guns) (POLICE.....go check out all of Jodi's family or friends. They have guns that are not registered)

Rental car- Nurmi is trying to say Jodi was not hiding her rental of the car in Redding. There was no reason for her to hide anything. (Jesus, there are a lot of commercials on HLN-it's enough to make me rage on Jodi's face) Jodi says she could have borrowed a car from her family. Jodi's brother lived close to the airport where she rented the car. (Another commercial) (There is no way I would watch this trial if I had to follow it on HLN-I may give up for the day. I'm getting annoyed)
Monterey Area- OG has a truck. Matt had a car. Jodi could have borrowed Matt's.

Gas- Jodi buying a gas can. EX 273. She returned the gas can before she got her nails done.
Why do you decide to purchase a third gas can? (commercial) She didn't think it made sense. She returned it. The gas cans she borrowed- Jodi didn't measure them.
EX 237- Receipts for gas. (commercial) Jodi doesn't know what she did on certain receipts. (I don't understand any of this) Jodi believes she left the store with a full tank of gas. 10 gallons of gas- Jodi said she didn't fill them up to the top because she worried about overspill.

    Lunch.

    Holy commercials.

    After lunch
I think there is a long delay for court starting. (Please remember I am watching on HLN)
FYI-Jodi has been on the stand for 15 days. (That's 11 days to long)

Jodi is on the stand. Nurmi is still up.
Gas cans- Assuming she had 3 gas cans (huh?) More freaking gas receipts shown. Nurmi/Jodi are trying to explain what each one means and how many gallons. Comparing receipts. (commercial)
JM objects. The car was about 13 gallons each time. State objects every time Nurmi tries to get Jodi to say all this gas went in the car (this is stupid. Just plain stupid. This cause?s brain freeze) (commercial)
(Nurmi is having a hard time questioning Jodi right now)

Pasadena- The plates on her car- (UGH) the skaters were rolling away when she came out of Starbucks. Jodi says it was dark. Jodi sees the reflector when she's backing out. She gets out and picks it up and throws the buggy plate on the floor of her car. (commercial) Jodi was a CSI person and knew it was hers because of the bugs. Jodi was scared and locked her car doors. (Serial skaters) She later learned her rear plates were turned upside down when she was pulled over in Utah (LOL)

She stopped to get gas between Pasadena and Mesa twice. Jodi paid cash for that gas-maybe. She's not sure. She wanted the gas cans to save money (commercial)
Why did you do that instead of using the cans? Her route changed. (commercial)

Arriving at Travis' house- Jodi has memory issues when she is stressed. Jodi doesn't like men yelling at her. Jodi is not trained on mental stuff. Jodi says it's not just men that piss her off-it can be her mom too. Jodi loses focus when people yell at her. (No shit lady. Geez, grow the fuck up. I had a shitty fucking life but you don't see me hacking somebody to death) (commercial)
When do you remember your first memory of yelling and stress? When she was about 14.
OG yelled and she almost had a nervous breakdown. This condition came into play again with Travis. Travis yelled at her. She would get flustered and shake. (she has a good memory remembering these events) (agh, now Nurmi is back in Aug 07) Jodi didn't want Travis to be angry. (commercial)

The freaking backpack- Travis was yelling at her. He was mad about John Dixon. (I like how she corrects her own attorney) Jodi lost her memory. (commercial)
What else happened? Jodi was shaking and crying (BTW, Nurmi called him John Dickhead-for real) There are several times Travis yelled at Jodi and made her shake. Sometimes, even over the phone. Travis caused the shaking. Jodi doesn't like to listen to mom scream or dad spit on her. (commercial)

June 4th- The choices she made. There was violence up to a year before June 4th. She said Travis pushed her down twice. Jodi says she couldn't get away. She was shaking. When he broke her finger was the next violent event. (commercial) She didn't try to get away. He kicked her ribs and it really hurt. Jodi was shaking and it was all a fog. The next event was the car on the freeway. The next event was when he choked her. They had sex behind closed doors and he beat her behind closed doors (he never hit her though she says) Jodi first thought about clawing his face out, but she passed out. (commercial) Jodi didn't have enough time to think that day. Jodi never thought about running away.

Jodi posed for pictures on June 4th.
EX 164- Jodi's face on camera (First time I've seen that picture) This picture may have been after her being tied up.
The rope- Jodi doesn't know how big the headboard was other than it was a king bed. (commercial)
The rope was not tight around her wrists. (I wish Nurmi would quit scratching his face) Jodi can't remember the rope after that until she threw it in the dumpster.

KY jelly on the bed (YAY) Why did you introduce KY to the relationship? State objects (huge letdown. I was expecting answers on where the KY went to?)

    Approach (judge)

(commercial) KY- Several reasons. Painful without it. He was not willing to buy it. Now Nurmi wants to break that down. (yes he said that) Anal sex was painful without the KY. (HLN mutes some parts.) Jodi didn't protest the sex. (I do not understand why in the hell KY is important. Shit, the girl got KY b/c she wanted some for anal sex-Simple. It's not worth an hour of testimony)

    Approach (judge) (commercial)

KY again. UGH x's a million.

    Break

What Jodi detective and why is the media contacting you? Also, who are you calling Little Miss Muffett?
