Ladies and gentlemen of the jury:
Ask yourself one simple question. Which explanation makes the most sense when you consider the defendant's actions
a) cunning Jodi planned a trip to Mesa to kill Travis, waited until his most vulnerable moment, and was successful at murder
b) poor little Jodi ended up in Mesa after a series of random events, and pissed Travis off so much with a scratched cd and dropped camera that he lunged from the shower to attack her. After a struggle and a chase, she found a gun that no one knew he owned, and that faulty gun went off accidentally with a perfect shot to the temple. Jodi didn't know he was shot but a knife that happened to be in the bathroom went into Travis about 30 times. Jodi remembered to clean up the blood, sheets, and body but not because she was trying to help herself. She loved Travis too much for any of this to happen, and it's a good thing nobody knows about their shameful sex life.
Jodi said he proposed to her one time when they were on the phone. She took it as a serious proposal, not joking. Yeah, right.

IMO I at first felt she should get LWOP, BUT the truth is, is prison she still gets to enjoy things that mean SO much to her, such as painting, fans & fan mail, and writing a whole new journal, AND the fame; I feel that she does not DESERVE to enjoy any of those things she likes! I don't believe that Travis ever proposed to Jodi. I don't see any purpose in bringing it up, except to throw it in the faces of Travis' friends and family. They're all saying what a stalker and a nutjob she was/is, and so she's saying "well he was going to marry me, so hahaha!".

It would also blow her out of the water with her claiming that Travis was trying to keep her a secret. How was he going to marry Jodi in the Mormon church, but keep her a secret? There's no way.
But again, he never had any intention of marrying her. And yes I do believe that after they broke up and she kept coming back for more, that he didn't want his friend to know that he was overly involved with her. I'm sure they knew he was still talking to her and helping her out with things, but they probably thought he stopped sleeping with her or even dating her. Mind you, I don't believe what they were doing post-breakup was actually dating. They were booty-calls, plain and simple.
And I believe that Jodi knew that, even if she was trying to worm her way back into a relationship. Having sex allowed her to keep some kind of tie with him, and I think she was more than happy to be on the down-low, because if Travis' friends knew, they would be more active in trying to get Travis to sever ties with her completely. She couldn't have that, because she thought she would eventually get him back. And if she couldn't get him back, she had blackmail material to use against him with their unapproved of trysts and his position in the Mormon religion, and to sabotage his future relationships.

Seeing that video of Travis and Jodi, it's super eerie to see him reenacting how the man was shoving the gun into his temple... He was pointing to the exact spot on his head that Jodi shot him.
