Regardless of the outcome, I hope Travis' family sues her for character assassination.

If things turn out horribly wrong with the verdict they can for sure pursue a wrongful death suit.

I'm sure it wouldn't do any good, she doesn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out. She was nothing but a mooch in the first place.

After rewatching some of the end bits, and watching Jodi's mom and aunt (?) laughing and giggling happily along while she is describing what she remembers of the VERY brutally butchering of a man to death, I cant help but wonder if the jury members were watching them and feeling as disgusted as I was about their behavior? Will seeing her OWN family's seeming lack of concern for her make the jury feel sorry for her... wonder what her upbringing was like with such careless people... and ultimately sway their decision because some small bit of sympathy got mixed in there because of it? Just a random thought, but one I hope doesn't occur. She doesnt deserve sympathy.

I hope the jury members have some well thought out amd interesting questions, like some that have been posed here... or some we haven't even thought of! Its going to be interesting to try and see -thru their questions- where their thinking is.

Hopefully it will be a little bit of something interesting before the experts are paraded on tell us what a "victim" Jodi was and blah blah blah.

Very true and often in these cases it is just the satisfaction.

Preview for Nancy Grace (I know this is the repeat from 8pm but I missed it), it shows Jodi on the stand, "near tears" and Nurmi asks if she has memories of slashing Travis' throat. She replied, "No. I feel like I'm the person that deserves to sit with those memories...that I don't have right now."

    Seriously fuck this bitch.
"so he ejaculated on your face and threw you some candy?"

I haven't seen the video yet but I'm wondering if the story is the time him and a friend were in a bank together and it was robbed. He kept comforting her and telling her not to worry they would be fine. I'll have to find the story

Poor Travis. I felt terrible watching him in that video. He seemed engaging and just someone who was really a nice person. He gave her money, let her keep her car in his garage, bought Cinnabons for her when she was out of town. I believe when he realized how fucked up she was, he started to back off. She hated the fact she could not control him. Too bad Juan Martinez allowed her to control the questioning. She is so fucking shrewd. Hope the jury sees through it all.

She doesn't have squat, though. They wouldn't get anything out of her...

Let's just hope the jury gets the verdict right, regardless of what the sentence ends up being.

It could be. They were talking over it quite a bit. I was trying to focus on him and not her. I'd really like to hear it clear.

I thought it would be just the judge approving them. Sigh
For comparison, I checked Wendi Andriano's number of questions. Court minutes show there were 11.
On appeal, def argued 'irrelavant' ones were allowed and also claimed prosecution misconduct unfairly prejudice the jury to spur those questions.
Appeals court disagreed with their arguments.

yeah, this section lead me to believe she is never going to tell us what happened. It's the last memory that is between her and Travis. It's so sick (to use a clinical term)

I may be thick, but what does that mean?

Does anyone know? Did Jodi Arias go to her Bishop about her sexual activities?
I thought she went to the Bishop to tell of TRAVIS's sexual activities. Don't remember her confessing hers.

It just seems time consuming when you have Travis chasing you about in a small place. I hope the jury is thinking this way
Agreed, as she added the holster she added prep time...which can be considered premeditation.

Also, to the psych professionals, (I know we have at least 2 on here): is it even possible that she doesn't remember anything between shooting him and arriving somewhere near the Hoover Dam?
I am not exactly sure that a fugue state or fog state allows her to do everything she did after the alleged gun shot. I am having trouble with her saying she remembers feelings and heard the knife clang on the floor. Oh and yes, that she was screaming. Hearing, feeling and screaming memories are stored in amygdala and hippocampus and I am guessing that there wouldn't be snippets. I am sort of amazed that someone who is a visual as her wouldn't have visual memories. Since she reports having absolutely no memories of the cutting and stabbing, cleaning up and driving it seems so self-serving. I don't believe her. I've seen lots of deception, and saying one has no memory is a common condition. On the other hand, extreme rage is like an emotional overload and will invite memory loss...but not after the rage is gone. They are going to say she has PTSD but I would only believe that if the PTSD is related to her killing someone she loved, not from the alleged abuse. I doubt I answered your question.

I don't normally say that I hate people but I really hate her!
Agree! I don't hate her yet. I am more in the disgusted range. It's almost like she is taunting us.

I just discovered this forum after becoming hooked on the Arias Trial. The TV coverage was driving me insane. So much of it is drivel from 'observers' and experts whom know less about the trial than normal folks watching at home. The range of views on here has been refreshing and informative - great job!

When I first started watching the portrait of Travis painted was an ugly one. Very quickly, I saw that it was distorted by Arias and her attempts to airbrush out her own blemishes. My heart aches for Travis Alexander's family. How I admire them for sitting stoically throughout every excruciating lie. In contrast, the family of Arias were smiling and joking today as she testified to moments that should have aroused sympathy or moved them to tears - if true. If she can't even reach them at key moments of the trial, she has no chance of touching the jury.

The truth is that an obsessive love was replaced by an obsessive hate. Instead of killing her fantasy relationship, she killed the man who wanted her for little more than sex. Her lies about the paper images, the abuse and his hypocrisy have all been reflected back at her. She was a hypocrite in terms of religion. She liked kinky sex as much or more than he did. If he is guilty, so is she. All sex was mutual - yet she tries to play the victim card in that too. What I find chilling is how she thrives on the attention and her smug, smirking attitude on 48 Hours and toward Martinez. She is getting off on not telling the truth. Instead of walking away with a broken heart, she plunged the knife into his heart. It was all about stopping him going to Cancun. Even now, she still thinks it was worth it. She would do it again. I also think she planned to murder more people, buying a gun and hiding a knife. Luckily, the police arrested her first.
I will always believe the heart stab was first...not due to forensic evidence, but because it is so symbolic of how badly she wanted to hurt him. It also fits the level of rage.

Agreed. Plus they typically are so smoove and charming, that some people will believe them. They are more animated than she is.

    My JURY Questions:
When did you get the Brazilian wax? Did you get waxed in anticipation of having sex with Travis?
Where in the house are the plastic cups kept?
Where are the clothing you wore? Did you dispose of them together or separately?
When did you first suspect that Mimi to Cancun?

That video played on Dr. Drew was eerie!

Again I agree that she doesn't have squat but for families it is just that sense of knowing they were right all along. I don't think many really care about the money aspect!

Did you know there's a twitter for Jodi's bangs? @jodiariasbangs It's pretty funny.

My juror question: "Bitch, are you crazy?"

Quote of the day: Nurmi: "did part of you wish it had been you lying dead on that bathroom floor?" Jodi: "what part would that be?"

Seriously, this trial is like Crack to me. I don't know what I'll do when it's over! But every time I start to get caught up in the general WTF'ery of it all I think about the pictures of what she did to Travis and remember what this is really about.

Judge told the jury to be back at 1pm AZ time tomorrow, so my guess is soon after that.

I read that story and I believe it is the same one. In the video he said the lady kept trying uncontrolably.

I have now really thought about how she killed him. She became enraged when he refused to take her on the trip. She stabbed him, he stumbled to the sink. She stabbed his back and head. He tried to fight her and to get away from her. When she talked about how she tried to get away from him, she was talking about the reverse. Then she got him down and straddled him and slit his throat. Dragged him back to the shower area. He was maybe still gasping for breath. She shot him as a last resort knowing that the gun was stolen. She shoved him in the shower, cleaned up and left. She thought she was so clever. I am was thrilled to know that the camera survived the wash cycle, or the bleach job. She never thought she would get caught. Her eyes are as dead as her soul.

OMG! For the first time ever I have caught up and actually reading the current posts! It is so good to follow this trial with others who are as obsessed as I am. I have been recovering from knee surgery and have had lots of down time to really follow every detail and every piece of evidence. My family thinks I am crazy! I can't wait to hear the questions from the jurors. I found her addition of a holster to lie about the gun was one of the dumbest things ever. The last thing she needed was ANYTHING that would add another step or another second of time to an already impossible tale. Not to mention it also requires her to go back and find the holster and to add it to the list of evidence she had to dispose of! I think the timing of the birth of her cold sore could not have been better, matched todays line of questioning perfectly.

I agree... I just want to her go down on the criminal charges. The thought of her walking free at some point, even if it's 20 years from now, just seems so unjust...

I don't see how he could have possibly been breathing as she cut him all the way to his spine. I think she shot him to support her ninja story. She was trying to make it look like there was more than one person. I think that's why she didn't shoot him dead while he was asleep. I've no doubt this murder was pre-meditated.
